to be fair, he did post something on his discord explaining his situation earlier this year. https://f95zone.to/threads/evermore-v0-5-1-prometheus.103770/post-13937035. i'm not a patron so i don't know what his post there is about, and after his announcement, i honestly doubt it's anything much. but yeah, being on hold since Nov of 2023 (based on F95Checker), it's hasnt been looking bright.

too bad man, Evermore has been on hold for almost a year. so even though it's tagged as on hold, it's as good as abandoned afaic. and honestly speaking, my hope for this game also died a little bit with every passing day. while he did say that he's going continue the story, it's not gonna be an AVN. prolly some other kind of medium, which i'm not sure i'd like.

This page should've been listed as abandoned when he announced he was quitting. I think what probably happened was that Prometheus reported it himself as on hold, when it was really abandoned. The mods didn't double check, marked the page as on hold. Someone re-reported it as abandoned, the mods did check and then marked it as abandoned.

this is a very likely scenario. seeing from his announcement from discord, i would assume that he's very occupied with what he's currently doing that he hadn't got the chance to update mods on what is happening in his life. but it didn't actually matter imho, the game is dead since his announcement. just finding it difficult to come to terms with the situation. FeelsBadMan.

For anyone wondering if knowing that the game is abandonned, is it still worth playing, I say yes, but you might regret aftward because you won't see anymore updates...

Exactly, when I played it, I said the same thing; Now it's getting really interesting, can't wait to see more of it.

I doubt this will get finished even in a different medium. If it does get continued in a different medium I don't think most people will care. I really enjoyed this but, I don't have much interest in it in a medium other than a vn.

If the choice is between "Abandoned AVN that will never again be updated" and "finishing the story in another medium, such as (for example) a written story", I would personally prefer the choice that lets me read a proper continuation and conclusion to the story.

For those who don't want to see it in any other medium, you can just consider it permanently Abandoned and Unwatch the thread, and literally nothing about this game will be any different for you.

well no matter on what medium it will be finished it will not be the same as finishing it as an VN.

if he finishes it as an text based medium it will be mostly without Pictures and that would leave it to anybodies fantasys to imagine it.
but if he finishes it as an comic,then i don´t know than he could finish it as an VN instead of an comic it would be more or less the same not in quality but still the same.
are there other options except for an animated film or movie??

My bet is either web novel or a KVN. If he takes the kinetic route then I'd be perfectly happy. Just means full harem without needing to worry about making the right choices, not that they were hard here. The game would be the exact same as I played it anyway. A comic would hardly be any easier than a KVN would be. Sure there'd be no programming but the image editing and typesetting would probably be at least as much work.
Just my thoughts but I suspect the dev might be thinking a novel's easier but I think that greatly underestimates the amount of heavy lifting a VN's visuals do for the story telling, character expression and world building. Prometheus can clearly write well but who knows how it'll end up if all the imagery is reduced to text.

Yeah it was a good and will be missed, I seen him comment on other threads so I think he fine sometime life happens and things don't go a planed. this was what he had to say if you haven't seen it

So the project really ended, I still had some glimmer of hope that I could return. But deep down I knew it was hard to happen especially with what the dev was having to deal with. Finally, I express my deepest condolences to the death of a project that could have had a brilliant future.

Sad to see the abandoned tag even tho it's expected. One of the best Honey Select Harem games in terms of character design, dialogue, and overall story progression, and the (sadly) final update intrigued me quite a lot. Sadly all things must end, some, like this game, are ended not in a satisfying way.
