The criteria F95 uses for deciding a game is abandoned mean that for one or two of those games there's still hope of further updates. Sadly, this game is not one of them and really is abandoned. No longer Evermore but Nevermore, you might say.

Because the dev said with his life, new job, etc, we won't have time to do Evermore anymore, so he abandoned the project.

The game is clearly abandoned and he said it.
But he also says the story will maybe continue in a different medium, meaning it would NOT be an AVN, therefore not a game.
So yeah, the game is abandoned.

The fact this is abandoned really bummed me out. Glad to have played it, sad to see it end unfinished.

So, he basically said: "I'm telling you something but I can't tell you anything"?
I really wonder how he'll tell the story now that we know it wouldn't be an AVN. I don't see many choices to tell that story.
That makes me think he's not giving up on the visual side of story telling. I know it sounds like I'm snorting a 7 gram rock of copium but I really hope this new format is just a KVN instead of a comic or web novel.
is it so hard to say in what way he will finish these storys??
boy oh boy..... it seems like he is not sure himself that he can make it happen,otherwise he would just plain say it without this mystery.
Except Daz is way more shit. HS2 at least can look good, Daz is just the exact same models being recycled 82 million times across every single game. The worst of Daz looks like actual shit and the best of Daz is right in the center of the uncanny valley. Only good Daz is mid Daz and at that point HS2 looks better.

Well Daz can look good too, you also can change the 'default' models so they look nothing like the model you buyed, not that most devs care besides some minor tweaking... admittedly Daz in most games her it looks rather medicore too bad, also making animations is a ''bit'' more demanding as in HS, so good hardware is a must.
More like well made HS games can look really good (Rippels or Eternum as example), same as for Daz.
But the most HS games look basic at best...so many devs who don't even try unique models, also why we have the same shitty MC in 99% of HS games.
Still i'd say a avarage HS2 game here looks better than the avarage Daz games and HS2 is clearly winning in the animation department.

You definitely played the wrong games.
Dude, there's no point in argueing. Tastes are different and HS is way more limited as DAZ/Blender. You like the look of HS which is absolutely fine. My point wasn't about looks. It was about the options for devs with their games. With HS they're forced to release every game as free public release. They can get pledged on Patreon or Subscribestar but at one point they've to give it away for free unless they want to have beef with the publisher of HS. When the dev doesn't have a lot Patrons they don't make the money to defray their costs. DAZ/Blender made games can be sold on Steam, GOG, and Epic Store. They're more expensive in the making, because you need better hardware and assets aren't cheap, but you've way more options to get the money you spend on making the game back.

you are right and that only could work with AVN or KVN.i never saw a dev selling it in any other format.
