He already said it; because with his job, he don't have time to make a game anymore.
well i think a book/novel is no less time consuming than a VN.
the most time consuming is writing.
the renders are made by a computer,it takes time too but the only thing you make is setting it up and the maschine does it himself.
whats left is edditing the renders after finished and bringing everything together after all is finished.
i think the writing takes most of the time because it needs to fit and you don´t always get it right at first try.

Don't get me wrong, but "the renders are made by a computer" is imo silly. That would be the same as "Word is writing the dialog text". The whole scene design matching to the dialogs is probably hard work. And I bet you also have to redo quite some of them after the first try.

i know that.
it does not change the fact that you set up everything to render the images and then the computer does it for you and that is or can be the most time consuming in that process.
that can take a few minutes to a few hours for the renders.

so what is so silly about that???
the computer makes the images.
the person behind the pc is just making the settings how the image should look like with all the assets that is put in the image.
ok i admit it that can also take some time setting up the images to render.

but holy shit writing a text how it should be in a novel or a VN that is much harder imo.

You ever tried to make a scene in DAZ? I tried, and I would have written a whole story compared to create that damn thing. You actually completely forgot to set the scene BEFORE the rendering. It's almost as doing a painting. And can be very time consuming and is hard and creative work at the same time

yes i tried it and yes depending of what image you make it can take some time but writing a book or as he said mutiple books are needed to write the story is on a whole different level.
you are describing everything with words and not with part images and part text and that is the hard part to bring everything a image could show out with words.

Better we end it here. Don't want to derail the thread with that. I only konw from some devs that writing and posing/rendering are almost equal. Well, let's agree we do not agree...

This is just... no. LOL. How would having to code, "render", add music and sounds (though admittely majority of devs don't appreciate this part enough), and design characters ALONG with writing take the same amount of time? Actually one of the takes of all time.

Of course the machine does the actual rendering, but it also refers to posing and setting up scenes. Posing itself refers to the lighting, expressions, and post processing.

Using stock stuff can cut down time siginificantly but even then it'll take way more time than a book. So imagime how long it takes for those actually customizing.

If your just baiting then ggs otherwise plz think about it for like 3 secs LOL
