Professional behavior is defined as "Conducting oneself in a courteous and respectful manner when engaging with others". There's no actual requirement to be in a professional environment, and you're directly arguing that basic manners are not an expectation when talking to people.

You forget one important thing. Most of the dev's on this forum are not doing this as a day job. It's a hobby they do for fun which you and everybody else want to benefit from. But instead of handing a helping hand or positive feedback / criticism you decide to demorilize these people who dedicate their free time for our benifit.

But when people offer helpful suggestions and feedback the dev accuses them of causing trouble and tells them to leave the thread. So why would I do that if it clearly upsets them?

Also, I really cannot stress this enough, it's quite literally entire minutes to do the full compression, and the link thing is his responsibility as thread owner and is directly ignoring his position by not doing it and also only takes minutes. Nobody's being unreasonable, the dev's just knowingly being obtuse about it because they don't feel like doing it.

What, he snapped after pages of people posting the same complaint in an increasingly offensive manner got him ticked off?? What a sham.
The dev is also the one sharing the fruit of his own time and labour. Yes there's a massive difference between some freeloaders coming into the thread being insulting and the guy who's providing the service we're all enjoying.

Volunteer teams should be held to a much more accommodating standard than a commercial or professional one should. Any time he spends on this game is a donation to the community, he's not going to continue donating that time if all he gets for it are insults. Believe it or not you can share your critiques without being a dick about it.

Seriously if you can't moderate your criticism then you should keep it to yourself. It doesn't matter how well intentioned it is, that exact kind of shit is why we keep losing devs off of this site. Since this dev isn't active elsewhere afaik, that could easily mean we'd lose the whole project.
He'll have been the third dev that got ran off of this project from this sometimes shit hole of a site. If you seriously think the dev is the problem when he's potentially the third one that we've ran off then you're experiencing a serious cognitive dissonance. There's a serious problem with the culture of this site, where either a dev generates a cult following that deflects or answers almost any critique or the community quickly gets too toxic for them to regularly engage in.

And seeing as you directly argued against the dev's own words thrice in 2 posts now while trying to defend his points and have made assumptions that simply don't exist, I'm going to just make the informed assumption that you did not read any of the relevant posts and are just blindly trying to defend someone in a situation you know nothing about.

You can keep derailing with rants if you want though, I just won't put any weight to them because they're uniformed and largely empty.

I'm having a strange bug with the couriers...

Depending of the whores sent to work as couriers, and having enough money for more than 10 shipments, the number of courier working varies.

I mean... If I send whore1, whore2, and whore3, all 3 whores work, but if I also send whore4, then none work, and if I remove whore 4, and send whore5, then only whore5 works, but whore1, whore2, and whore3 remain innactive... It's a really weird behaviour.

Yes, if you can't figure out how to download this game it is definitely not for you. Please skip it and play Ren'Py visual novels instead (no effort required).

There is a difference between things that I could do and things I want to do. Since I play grand strategy games like europa universalis I highly doubt that this game poses a challenge to me, like for yourself. I would have just appreciated to be able to download it like any other game on this site. This game isn´t RDR2. If the developer is to lazy to provide an easy download then fuck it.

Since visual novels are not games, you can´t play them. So like most of your postings here dumb and useless advice.

Evil 2 is a streamlined and focused version of the original game using a male protagonist only. It does not contain the following features/tags: transgender, gay, transformation, feminization, and female protagonist. The tags for the game are accurate. If you want or need these features please stick with the original game. They will not be added or considered.

The date on the two files in the hotfix for me are 17/08 - 2:12 PM. Post your save game and I'll see if the problem happens for me. If it doesn't then you don't have the hotfix installed properly.

Resolved, no idea what it was. The Mega download was the only difference, but that shouldn't affect the code in a QSP file! I even ensured there was only QSP file in the original set hence the time stamps from those files. Now I can start to figure out the mechanics of this game and how to play it.

This isn't the original Evil game. You could argue after all that Noobtrain added it's not even the original Evil 2.
It's 5 times larger because instead of all the porn being in gifs and jpegs, like the original game, it's in rather long MP4s with sound.
Almost all content works. There's a small handful of content chains that don't but I can only think of one of them atm.
The point is to make the game not completely fucking terrible. The original Evil was a broken mess with a barely functioning translation. This is a completely different game that's better in almost every possible way.

I so wanted to just ignore this thread but you had to go and lie about me so for your information.
The GL community team replaced the gifs in GL with mp4s, none of them were replced with jpgs. Many existing scenes use jpgs, it is one of the ways we reduce dl size as even with compression if we used mp4s everywhere with the number of scenes in the game it'd easily be 30gb or more and we are not using hi-res mp4s as many of them are converted gifs because that is how we switched formats. We took the "hot gifs" and converted them to mp4s, they are the same. If you no longer find them hot due to different formatting then that is very much a you problem.

Sorry if I'm derailing the thread or off topic or whatever, I just don't like people lying about me baselessly. Its extremely rude.

Compressing the videos using H.265 instead of H.264 would reduce the size greatly, without having to renounce to videos.

Removing the audio stream would help to reduce the file sizes too.

I tested this theory with one of the biggest videos in the game, named 12.mp4, without saying a thing about the convenience of a 10 minute video in a QSP game...

The original file is 143 Mb.

I used Handbrake to recompress the video, h.265 quality "32", max 24 fps (instead of 30), and no audio stream.

The new video created by Handbrake (5 minutes of processing) is a 18,3 Mb. MP4 (M4V) file.

I won't say is the same quality of the original video, cause there is some compression, but there is very little difference.
