I'm contemplating adding a popup note when playing Evil 2 for the first time - Informing players about the two long storylines and 13 unique events in the game.
The problem is that most players don't bother reading anything on the OP. They click the download links and play the game. They then give up on it early while only experiencing 10% to 50% of the game, 50% being generous. They then blame the game and write a poor review with lots of incorrect statements (opinions are fine, false statements are problematic).
I can't fix human nature so I'm not sure the best way to solve this problem. The 'Developer Notes/FAQ' section has a link to both the Beginner's Guide and the Requirements to trigger the unique events and stories in the game, but players don't bother reading it. This is painfully obvious by visiting the Reviews section.
I hate to add a popup but I'm not sure how to solve this. Every poor review means fewer players will be willing to give the game a try. I don't mind if a player doesn't like the game. It's impossible to please everyone. QSP games have a small following to begin with. The issue is when false information is posted which gives players a false overview of the game.
Honestly, with all the shit that has gone down over the years on this site I'm not even sure why I care anymore (sad).

All I wanted was to give players some fun content to play through, LOL. I challenge players to try being a game developer for a year. They won't because most players just use and refuse to give back.
