What kind of "Optional" is the Gay/Trans stuff? Those characters are just cut completely? Or do you get the same content with "normal" versions of them?

I just want to say three things.
1) This game was one of the few of its type that stuck with me due to its story. It is unique, the characters are clearly defined, and the tone is great! I am impressed that you can make something like this, take long breaks, and still have the inspiration to return to it despite the break, if it were me I would've lost interest and moved on.
But as a consumer I remember your work fondly thus want you to continue regardless of how much time you take in between updates.
2) I don't know you but I hope you don't die, since, you know, you are the creator of one of my favorite games here. Even if it had been ages since I played it and so I now need to replay it from the begining to remind myself of it.
Which is a plus in my book, actually. If you know something was good, but don't remember why it was good, then that gives you the option to consume good quality content, as backed by your past self's taste...
A win-win situation in a way.
3) I am sorry for your loss. RL can be a bitch, you aren't alone in the struggle, and the whole other shebang of 'keep up the morale' type of words that you are probably already sick of. While I have a feeling you are tired of hearing them in RL I won't glossover your loss even if you mentioned in the passing.
Really, the thing I do to deal with loss is focusing. Focusing on life, love, work, gaming, videos, and whatever else I can find that will engage me and let my subconscious get a good enough distance from the event to, well, 'accept' it fully. I think you should do the same. Just don't stop, or get stuck on one thing.
Chaos and stress helps far more than silence and depression.
You really need to read on the definition of entitlement if you really believe that it's the correct word to use for my comment.
At the end of the day yes we are in a pirate website but a very important amount of people on this website use the updates and comments in here in order to see if they should support a dev/author/artist. That's what I've always done. Currently I'm supporting 3 devs with a few bucks, in 2022 I was at 9.
Some people will see that this has been in development since 2020 and will think that there is a high amount of content in the game and/or that it's been getting regular updates since then, which is blatantly false. This game has been dead for over 3 years, plain and simple. Why is it suddenly back ? And why is it a pointless non-cannon Halloween update, which is the easiest thing to do in any and every sort of game ?
Yeah, f95 isn't meddling too much in posts like these and not ever getting the abandoned tag is quite easy due to how lax the rules regarding said tag are, but there should really be a big caustion post somewhere about highly disingenious updates like this one that are blatant cash grabs.
If the dev was serious about bringing this game back to life and not only interested in a quick buck from gullible idiots ready to throw money for a dream or a miracle, then they'd have made a remake of the game with current day renders and a revamped story.
But hey, since we're on a pirate website, the fuck do we care right ? Let idiots throw their money without any kind of warning I guess ... Giving 2 words of advice in good faith is too much to ask I suppose, better have a holier than thou attitude on the website.

Anyone who played the update (as i just finished a few minutes ago) would know how wrong you are about it. But keep talking to yourself if you wish since i won't be bothering with answering anymore and i rather talk about the game.

Just finished the update.
Interesting stories, or should they be actual real tales? Kadijah and Tahir were about magic/poison and death, Zilv had some fucked up horror from beyond elements and Astrid was the only one with a actual happy ending even if the alchemist's wife was revived as a flesh eating creature.
But that strange merchant was there in all of them, later when the crew finally leaves the island the same merchant appears to guard 357 who was left behind because of his own stupidity. Seems she has a magical knack to appear when people are most desperate for something.
So yeah i am sure ZIlv's story was 100% real and the reason why he has a voice in his head, Astrid i would say ~70% sure and the other two a coin toss for what was real and what they made up on the spot.

Sorry to say, but that's exactly how it works. In 99.999999% of games, "a special" is way for the developer to go wild with characters we know and love, unbound by the restriction of the already established setting. This almost always result in a completely detached scenario(s), that have little to no connection to the original story.
With that said, glad to see you back! Thanks for the update and the clarification, downloading immediately.
I hope this game actually gonna make a comeback and not just Halloween special, which heck I'm even grateful for just that, genuinely love this game, got some for almost everyone

But if you skip any of them, then you just get nothing for that long wait between updates, right?
I love this game, but it is so out of date, the new animations being 4 stills would have been acceptable in 2019 or so, the story, the characters, the humor, the vests was all good. Its not as good now. It's like time froze for timepants, he thinks what we all really want is a better horse and buggy while other devs release super unecessary 60fps animations and 4k resolutions. Make actual animations
First of all, you don't really "skip" characters. You can opt out of relationships and sex scenes, but the characters still are part of the plot and are with you a lot of the time. It's just the nature of your relationship is platonic instead. I've included content for each of the love interests introduced so far in each update. I haven't done, like, a Tahir only update or anything like that.
Sure I'd love to do animations as I've mentioned before. I'd also love to have the time to learn how to animate competently, learn blender because animating in daz is like pulling teeth and lacks any collision data, learn daz to blender bridge's quirks so it doesn't fuck up textures upon import/export, learn how to rig a skeleton, learn how to make sure the animations don't make the characters look like broken limbed nightmares, all while also writing, coding, editing, post processing/color correcting, and bug testing 1000+ render updates all by myself while simultaneously juggling irl responsibilities and work and being yelled at for taking forever by a lot of people who would never even consider spending a single dollar on the game.
