I'm wondering if I should use the pirate version is it better and more complete translation than the steam?
DLsite, latest update was in 2021, and it was just some bug fixes, so no new content was added, this meanst hat with the steam release being so recent you won't be missing on any content.
Now, on the matter of the translation, I can't give my opinion because I don't own the Wasabi steam version, yet(I will be buying it in the future).
Wasabi releases translation quality range from "passable" to "merely ok".
So it is a shot in the dark, so I can't be sure but I doubt the translation is as good as most Kagura games releases.
The only way to be sure is to compare both translations.
I'm currently going through all my Wasabi purchases, playing them and doing some short steam reviews, I'm currently going through

, the game feels good and the translation is ok, but I'm enjoying the game so much that I decided to actually edit and improve the translation for myself.
My experience so far, all Wasabi releases could have some improvements.
It feels like it's an asian who learned English who's doing the translation without an English speaking proofreader. Because while translating, something might sound ok, for the translator, at the time but in reality it might not ring the same to someone who's reading it for the first time and hasn't gone though the whole game's script.
Even their discord persons speak a little in Engrish(At least it seems they're trying), but with how expensive their games on Steam I expect a better product.
So far the only game I played briefly that seemed to have a translation that was better than ok, is
