That makes no sense, as you play both Emma and Patrick, Emma is not just a character, she is a protagonist yet she is extremely limited on choices.

You should always differentiate between player and character. Even for Patrick the player is "not free" or "forced" in your sense: he never gets the choice to stop everything for example. A lot of guys would have left the apartment for good after the first night or so. You never get that choice. Are you or him forced because of that? Of course not. This is the plot. There are thousands of choices as Patrick you never get as player.

On the path of the "good wife", if he doesn't push her in her choices, she will always remain the same calm, chaste and pure girl she has always been, rejecting skimpy clothing, racy photo shoots and many other things. Because this is actually the real Emma.
How is it possible then that suddenly, if Patrick decides to make choices that could push her further, she immediately accepts without ever trying to protest or say no? Instead we always hear the phrase "I can do this because Patrick likes it."
For me this is a bit of a stretch....

ok, so you're kind of saying what I'm saying, but just in a different way. You are not given a choice to say no to Patrick, it's not who Emma is, she does it because Patrick likes it, so yeah, kind of forced

I tried Sharing My Fiancee or whatever the title was. It wasn't nearly as good dialogue or story. I guess it's a sign that the Dev's writing is improving but it also seemed to me that the Dev's emphasis on their kink seems to impede their story telling, a flaw shared by a lot of games.

Yes, I finally played that path. My only gripe is that when I reached to the scene where the mc went to matthew's house and knock to enter, matthew said that fmc hasn't arrived yet. An attempt to call her, she arrived and said traffic was bad(maybe). A couple dialogues after, there appeared 'caught an exception' and missing the ignore option. Can you spoil what happened during that scenes followed?

I tried resorting to go back to use fmc perspective, but do not match in my playthough. Didn't see why see was late in coming to matthew's house. Also didn't see what happened when fmc received a text when mc went to work on that day before going to matthew's. Was that a bug? Don't know what went wrong..

unfortunately that ending had some problems and it has been fixed with the latest version (bugfix) although unfortunately not completely. So I recommend you first download the latest version (unless you already have), but the fact that it causes the exception makes me think that you already downloaded it but imported the saves from the previous version there: in that case, the advice is to start a clean game.

Even that ending you got is a bit off, because Emma is only late to Matthew's house in the "good wife" route, or in the cheating route because she's having wild sex with Martin over and over again.
If you want the cheating ending with Matthew, you have to cut Martin out of that path almost immediately (after the first time) and let her get the cheating scene at Matthew's house.

Pay attention to the ending: this betrayal path has two, depending on who you end up with, you can get Martin's or Matthew's ending... or rather the ending is the same, only the character changes.

no, in the path of the good wife, she remains faithful and does not cheat: she arrives late at the end at Matthew's house because she actually falls asleep and that is not an excuse.
With Martin you have to go all the way ONLY the first time in the shower, then that's it, because if she then goes to his room on the last night too then it's over and she will always be the one to choose to go there.

I liked the unfaithful route. It was hard for me to find it. I’d like future updates to include the possibility of the MC realizing the betrayal — something like a confirmation from the player to allow the MC to secretly spy on them, but then, as a personal decision, choose not to break up with her and never say that he knows

or maybe even the possibility on the path of betrayal (and Patrick's jealousy) to discover Emma's infidelity and (as in some other games) witness an early ending, I don't know, for example towards the day 16, 18 or other circumstances, without necessarily having to get to day 26 which in some cases can almost seem forced

Other than that, I can't say enough about how beautiful this game is and how ALMOST perfect it is... if only it weren't for that bug at the end that still causes problems sometimes...

Stay Online has that exact scenario happen (for the Cheating path).

But it might not be the best example, as the MC just ignores the cheating and literally doesn't make a single comment on it.

I'm aware it might seem forced, and for that, there would need to be a strong reason for the MC to go along with it… maybe some variation of cuckold (where he secretly enjoys it, though I’m not a fan of that), a player choice to break up or not, an inheritance clause (this could push his girlfriend to the dark side and take advantage of the situation if she knows he knows), etc. There are many possibilities. I want broken hearts, muahaha.
