I had the same bug. I had to rollback, read the recipe on the card when she hands it to you, then back out of that dialogue. You can go make the cake using the recipe without actually getting the card from Aubrey. Didn't stop me from completing all content in the current version.

The recipe is also in the walkthrough. You don't need to talk to Aubrey at all. Here it is:

You need to add 1 milk, 2 egg, 1 sprinkles and 3 chocolate then stir 4 times.
