Make sure it is case sensitive and keep trying it, it doesn't always work at first for some reason.

You can‘t use old saves as they don‘t contain the journal. If you use them the game will crash - see above.

Start anew and it‘ll work.

No problem with the game, it just needs to be restarted. There is a new menu on the laptop, indicating a bug. Perfect Aubrey and Cherry blowjobja !! So old backups are not good. Good game ! No errors !!

Well when there is new content at the beginning of the game then a restart is great and I do it on every update with every game I play anyway and have found out a lot of dev's add more content to there games that you will miss if you don't restart a new game.

0.3.1. play from start
0.3.4. play from start
Yep, but when a game has add‘l functionalties added that don‘t exist in the save files there‘s no way around it.

So it‘s either new features or keep the old save files - chose one....

This.

Pretty much any game with a map/sandbox system is gonna want you to restart every time due to added stuff if you want to see everything.

The problem with restarting map/sandbox games is that they are often the most grindy games - make money, buy inventory, score points with npc's, etc. So, when the developer has come up with half-a-dozen releases which force a restart, who wants to? I point to Dreaming of Dana and Max's Life as two games, whose developers have managed to write such games without forcing restarts with each release. Personally, I drop grindy games that force restarts too late in the release cycle, regardless of how much I might like them. I don't play Teachers' Pets or Summertime Saga any more (and have dropped support) for that very reason. I have too many other games to play (I have a queue of about 30 releases to get to) to waste time restarting games and redoing grinds.

I cut F.I.L.F. some slack, since the engine was just changed, and there are obviously some growing pains with that. That, and the developer has produced good product in the past. My patience, though, is not unlimited.
