Have you tried redownloading?

1. manually redownload
2. restart PC to make sure everything is terminated.
3. extract newly downloaded file and overwrite everything.
4. run

For those that have done a manual download and just extracted the content into the F95Checker folder without first deleting all of the content of said folder...
Due to some oddity in the build process from one version to the next, it may be that there's still a bunch of dll files in the program's base folder which also are still present in the .\F95Checer\Lib folder.

Now, I don't know if this could lead to version differences of these dll files and possibly weird behavior... but best is to make sure there's only the copies that came within the latest released package.

If this happens to apply to you I suggest to best delete all of the content in the F95Checker folder, redownload the

, and extract it into a now empty folder.

FYI. The data of F95Checker is stored in your %appdata% folder, safely outside of the program folder, so you don't run the risk of losing your game data!

discovered crash:
When F95 checker is minimized to system tray. it can rack up an infinite amount of duplicate messages of certain types.
These includes warnings and errors. such as not recognizing a tag type

One of those duplicate error messages is telling you that a thread cannot be found anymore because it was removed. and asking you what to do with it.
If you click remove, it removes it but it then looks like nothing happened. because it shows you the 2nd duplicate message underneath the 1st one.

If you then click remove on the 2nd message (because you assumed that you must have not registered the first click) then F95checker will crash.
presumably the fact it is trying to delete something that does not exist

Is it currently possible, or perhaps for an update, to be able to customise the width of each category window? I have several categories, the largest has 145 games in and the lowest has 5 in. It would be nice if I could widen the category window for the 145 games.....

My GF and epilepsy(treatment of it) has kept me from getting involved in anything F95 other than occasional browsing so I didn't notice.

I am on the latest version, and it does recognize all current tags.
But the bug I am referring to with F95checker was never fixed.

When AI art tag was added, it broke and gave hundreds of error boxes overnight I had to click one by one.
When NTR was renamed to netorare it did the same.
When the next tag gets changed, it will do the same yet again.

Yes the current version right now recognizes all known tags right now.
But tags will get added or changed in the future. So this bug needs to be fixed.
Especially since I found out that this bug applies to more than just non identified tags.
it also applies to threads not being found anymore

I have a folder where I put all my games sorted by their engine(not shown here) and sort by name but sometimes the folder path changes by 1 folder but the rest will stay the same. is it possible to add wildcard function for situations where I download a new path?

or is that already added?

Is there a way to show screenshots, also how can i filter stuff using the search bar ? Because i can only filter by typing the name, but no tags etc.

Also is there a way to not have to change folder of a game each time it updates. Because i change folder names to version Example - v1 to Example - v2. Is there a way for the program to still know the path without rechanging it if the modification of it is small.

The only temporary solution that worked is when I put the workers on 17 but that worked for 5 minutes. Now either I get the 2nd error repeatedly or it takes ages to refresh. It gets stuck at 1% for like a minute.

As both errors have that part, i guess it's a ssl or connection related error (port 443 is https and doesn't work without ssl)
I only know f95's certificate renewed days ago and shouldn't be the issue (and your temp. solution shows it's not to be blamed as it would have failed entirely)
EDIT: Not an networks engineer and have not enough coffee on hand

I'm on my phone network now beause I got somehow banned or something from this site cuz I tried to update this app though the own updater. 504 gateway zzz

Edit: VPN is needed to enter the site now. My normal IP is banned 99% sure. Do not update the app though the updater.

Well now it's completely broken, my temp solution doesn't work anymore. I just get the second error repeatedly.

My ip got banned as well for some reason. Did they get butthurt by something I said? idk.

The app updates via github, has nothing to do with f95zone.
If your ip did get banned, its unrelated to the update process itself.

We've had a few recent attacks and DDoS-Guard's stricter filtering automatically kicked in. We'll ask them to loosen the filtering as soon as is viable.

For the time being it'd be wise to turn the worker count right down and avoid full refreshes. Also bear in mind that if you're using TOR or VPN (especially a free VPN) then you're far more likely to trigger a block, as it's far more likely that other users will be sharing your IP.

Blocks by the filtering are temporary and do get automatically lifted.

Like i said earlier it is related to their cloud protection being over protective and falsely claiming shit. I opened a ticket to the admins about the issue no answer.

The bans last for an hour and after you get unbanned.

Whatever they did also broke the Playnite extension which has been working for years just fine.

Simply put site flags it as a DDOS attck and Temp bans the IP....

Workers set on lowest, still gets you banned. Also the Playnite extension got broken whatever u guys did, and the Main DEV aint updating it anymore. Big setups got broke. It is kinda frustrating.

We haven't changed anything, as I explained filtering is really strict at the moment.

Good to know. Hopefully gets lifted. Wonder if the extension will work afterwards, because it decently works like once and then its dead (Even tho still not IP Banned).

BTW u can close the ticket i opened about this since you responded to the issue.

Hey just started using this tool but quickly figured out I get banned when I try refreshing. Is there a setting under "refresh" that wont get me banned?
