Oh I do have a question though, why is MC "so slow" when compared to "rock slutty girl" (don't remember her name).
The MC being "slow" in I suspect a specific forest-trail scene was more a technicality, vs down to her own character. Also, the MC was/is fast as you are right that she played track in High; however, who says that when the adrenaline gets pumping that even the slowest cannot exceed, even for a brief period of time.
For now I can't say much it was all more establishing characters introducing the story...
You did a rly good job on that though, and man I like it so much that I feel like I'm actually in control of the MC (apart from some scenes with rock slutty girl lol). I love the choices continue like that mate.
I can't wait for this to blow up if it didn't. It could be that ppl are apprehensive of the "horror" theme but for now I can say that it's not a problem. I was never a fan of horror movies but I rly enjoyed the ride (Tiff might be one of the resaons why).
I also noticed that you gave (some of?) your characters "imperfections". Is it weird if I say that I find them even more interesting, attracting?
Thank you for visiting this post and for leaving a very thoughtful and a lovely response. I have had multiple both in private and public say that they hope that the horror will be "soon". I will not confirm when the "slashing" begins; however, two points to make, which I know that all of you will pick up on and re-read. In addition to that some of you will in conversation among yourselves in this thread share your theories on this I imagine (fyi I am enjoying seeing multiple of you theorizing what is/might happen etc):
1) I want you as the player to have more time to in a positive/negative light see more character development. Some characters are very purely background NPC's who are there to fill the "world" and are obvious contenders to be axed. As I have made it clear that does not exclude the entire main cast, which includes the MC. After Chapter 1's release I did a Q&A feedback poll and asked if people are prepped for potentially the entire cast to be axed. A good number said that they're mentally prepared for it, some have not. Maybe "LESS" would be prepared now that they're starting to like certain individuals? Remember that in this game at the end of chapter 1, you've only just come to the end of day 1 at camp, excluding the prologue, which is prior those events.
2) Whether it be horror or any other genre of AVN's/VN's ... most of them take place over many months, or even years worth of game play ie you're playing a day then bam "24 hours later/a week later/a month later"... this game takes place in a very, very short period of time when you compare (I am not going to divulge the exact time frame). That both makes character progression more of a challenge, as well as making the game shorter (not in content) but on the time-scale in this universe. So, I will not say how much, but you are potentially going to have a few more chapters of development, along with the romance/drama thrown in (with some potential serious shit before) ... before we get to what I call the finale, which is where it all goes south. I will want you as the player to regret past and current choices when you get to that finale. I want you to make decisions, which could be deadly for yourselves, or those around you. Time will really slow down in that finale, but also, at the same time feel like a lot of shit is happening really quick. I have emphasized this multiple times and will do as many as I need to. In a nutshell ... the "finale", will be when I deem it ready to do so, once I am satisfied that I have you all hooked on the fishing "bait" just where I want you, then the hammer drops and it will drop hard, fast and be brutal.
But again thank you for your insightful enquiries and thank you so much for trying out and loving this game. I hope that you'll enjoy the rest of it, and other projects that'll come after in the longer future.
