I've finally figured out how the calculations for crafting equipments work out.
Crafting equipment stats formula = (Base stats of equip) + total stars of materials (each registered material is worth 1 star less) x (10% of equips base stats)
So for example, Heart necklace requires Pure heart + gold ore. Base stats: 70 hp.
Using a 10* pure heart, and a 22* gold ore, the pure heart and the gold ore will register as 9 for pure heart, and 21 for gold ore for calculations.
This = 30.
30 x (10% of the base stat of necklace, which is 70/10, equals 7.)
= 30 x 7 = 210 hp.
Base stat = 70 hp.
70 + 210 = 280 hp.
Crafted heart necklace will give +280 hp.
basically, each extra star on materials will increase the final crafted equipment by 10% of it's base stats. (Element bonus on weapons is 1/10th that,so only 1% of base element stats)
Mace has 30 attack and 40 magic attack? Each additional star on materials will increase attack by +3, and magic by +4, when crafting the final product.
Mace has 10 plant element? Each additional star will increase plant element by 0.1 (rounded down)
Sword has 100 attack and 15 defense? Each star will increase by +10 attack, and 1.5 defense. Though Things tend to round DOWN in this game.
As for weapons crafted using other weapons as a prerequisite, all of the stats of the weapons are added up,then divided by 2, then transferred and added onto the final crafted weapon. Only three late game weapons fall into this category:the Supreme king sword, the Hero's sword, and the Fiend rod.
Example: Angel rod with +25 hp,devil rod with -30 hp,but fiend rod has a base stat of 50 hp.
25hp - 30hp = negative 5 HP (divided by 2 = -2.5 hp,rounded down = -2)
50 - 2 hp = 48 hp
Fiend rod will have 48 hp.
Also, a side note: I'm continuing to work on a detailed walkthrough for the 4th island and beyond. Once i'm done that, i'm going to make a VERY simplified walkthrough. I'll update my previous post with the walkthrough once i'm done.
Edit: April 10/2019: did more testing. Found out element of crafted weapons is 1% instead of 10% increase.
