Please God no sandbox. The game is great poished menus , titles, graphics etc. Out of curisoty what is to remake ? and will it be finished before the remake ?
I'm honestly trying to add a lot to the Remake without crossing the sandbox line, lol. Still following a "kinetic" line, but allowing a lot more freedom with events and such.

For instance, at the school, your main goal could be to just go to class to continue the story. But you are given the option to also explore around before then, maybe come across some of the girls, talk to them and such, maybe even secrets. I know some may not like this idea, but I'm trying to do my best to make it a more enjoyable experience.

As for the Remake itself, I plan on revising the Prologue, Chapter I and II to be nearly as long as III, and maybe tweak III a bit too. Main goal is to extend the game/story since the main gripe I've seen is that there's a lot of girls, and not a lot of time to grow... mainly that they "fall in love too quickly"... lol. It's a fair assessment, and I honestly do agree that it came off like that, but it wasn't my intention. I am also attempting to give the Remake a more polished look, less stiffness and such.

I can foresee two problems or issues with this.

It's going to be seen as forcing at least one complete restart if not more, and will delay the release of new content continuing from the furthest point on the story

Whether or not those points are true, it's how these remakes etc are going to be seen

Instead of a remake leave what you did as more of a long prologue and slowly merge choices in as other developers have done that and continued progress without affecting the game that much. I have played games where chapter 4 grew into a sandbox but it started out as more of a kinetic/visual novel and the flow was done smoothly so it worked. You don't have to redo what you done just change what it is now without being too drastic about it.

What PLAYERS do not want is to start all over! We want to continue the story look at that game Scarlet Law all the time players complain that they still can't play the game as the remake has not caught up to the story it was left at!

Believe me, I hate having you guys restart. I even hate doing it with other AVNs. I'm trying to limit it to one more major restart, mainly because as I said, I wanna extend the story/relationship to flesh them out better, and try to fix any inconsistencies (which there are quite a few).

As I said above, I completely understand not wanting to restart again and again, because it's just prolonging future releases/content. I get it, trust me, lol. Thing is, and I know not everyone will agree with it... I feel as if I need to do this, mainly for Chapter IV and on to flow better, especially with what all I have in mind. Of course there will be a lot of new content while doing the Remake, since I'm wanting to flesh things out better for the girls and such.

As for the sandbox element, I'm not trying to cross that line completely. More of just events along the linear path, like the Beach scenes in Chapter III, if that makes sense.

So don't start over just change it starting at chapter 4 since it's a new chapter you can flow the change from chapter III to IV because of the way events are changing.

Well... right now, the main focus is finishing Chapter III. That is the main priority, lol. I'm still wanting to do the Remake mainly to change a lot of the renders and such before Chapter III. Worst case scenario... I'll just have to accept any blowback from you guys by going through with the all the ideas I had in mind with the Remake. The Prologue and Chapters are laid out as a foundation, and I can use them to improve, enhance, and extend them all.

They will all have new content and such with extending the lengths of the Prologue/Chapters. Chapter III took a long time to make, and I have no doubt that IV will be equally long, maybe longer. I figured, in my own opinion, it'd be easier to Remake the game after III

what i dont get at this sort of vn´s is ,the mc stays gullible(naive) through the whole story...while everyone gets tortured and murdered, he is down on earth and playing around...never finding any answers and in the moment something gets revealed he thinks its something else...thats tiring after some time, you only turn in circles and get nowhere....and about the sexscenes, they are boring,no tension in all the animations...droped the pants 1 2 3 end-and you get nothing to see...have seen worse but have seen way better...there is no feel to it...whatever ...good luck with the project...

13th Sin Games Is this still being worked on?
Yes, it's still being worked on. It's just been taking a long while with rendering and some re-rendering. With the current render size from the end of the demo to what I have now..... it's nearly as much as Chapter II's entire render size, lol... however, I feel like I'm nearing the end of it, and scripting won't take as long sense I just need to script the last couple hundred that needed re-rendering/added
Well thy make another Update this year?
Indeed so... most indeededly... lol. As I said, it's just been taking a long while... but I'm hoping not much longer!

Hello everyone!

Firstly, I want to take the time to apologize for what I thought would be a quicker release of the Full Version of 0.3.4. Technically, the Renders were already done, but I wasn't too happy with how the last couple hundred looked, so I had to go back and Re-Render them...… which incidentally sprouted out double (going on triple) the amount of Renders I originally took, lol. This in turn did allow several of the characters to shine a little more in-game. Section 17, which is dubbed "Town"...… man... it exceeds the amount of Renders of Chapter II alone (1800+ Renders), coming in at almost 2500 Renders, which is insane! When it comes time for Scripting, it shouldn't take nearly as long since I need to script what all I Re-Rendered. I can't provide an exact release date, but with some estimations (and hopes)… it could be done by mid/late September.

Secondly, I know that the last couple months were very slow with game progress. I was spending a lot of my time with my kiddos, on top of work and Drill, so I wasn't able to work much or at all on the game... but I should now be able to utilize my time more now. At least that's the hope...

Thirdly, and probably most importantly... I know not many of you may feel to comfortable or agree with the idea of... a Remake... especially if there are chances of previous established story to be altered or removed completely. I will try to explain the main goal of the Remake I plan on doing...

PROJECT PHOENIX (Remake):

I received a lot of feedback: positive and even negative. But amidst all that... a few good points have been made that I want to try to fix:

  • A lot of the girls fall in love with the MC too quickly...
  • There are a lot of girls, but not enough time with them....
  • Relationships feel rushed, lewd moments too quick, forced even...
  • The man's 500 years old, but acts like an idiot...
  • The game as a whole has no idea what it wants to be...
Guys...… you're not wrong, and honestly I can't be mad about some of these points, even if it cuts deep, lol. On the contrary, sometimes you need to understand the negatives to be able to learn from those mistakes to provide a positive outcome. I don't want to keep using the "This is my first game" excuse, either... with all that said, I want to be able to create the best near-perfect visual novel for you all to enjoy, because nothing in this world is perfect. If it was, then people wouldn't continue to improve, learn, and adapt. My goal is to address as many of these points (and ones not mentioned) in the Remake as best as I can... first being a MUCH longer establishment of relationships for a more natural feel of them. I also plan on stretching out the story much more to allow those relationships to flourish. And yes... that means there will be some altered story along the way... but a lot of the established lore/story will remain, just tweaked or improved a bit.

PROJECT GALAXY (New Game):

This is something I had in mind of doing possibly in conjunction with Fall of the Angels, but worst case after that game is over. Many of you know that I'm a huge Star Wars nerd and sci-fi geek... so... why not make a visual novel of it? Not Star Wars, lol... but a space fantasy. Yes, I know it's not anything new, as there's a lot out there already...… especially in Honey Select 2, which is the engine I will be using for it. Nothing has be set in stone yet, but I feel like at least providing you all the... imagination...

Lastly, also likely important... as mentioned above, those are the two major projects I plan on doing, with Phoenix being the next immediate one after 0.3.4 is fully released (and after a little break from development). I'm gonna be honest with you all... I would love to work full-time on these visual novels, because it really is fun and I can express my imagination in writing and illustration. Unfortunately, with an actual job and doing my monthly duties to my country, time hasn't been on my side. Regardless, with the current update and near/future projects, I will work on them to the best of my ability and time. The support you guys provided me is beyond appreciated, and I can't thank you all enough for it. Maybe in time, I will feel comfortable with working full-time on these games... but I wanna earn that support from you guys, not demand it.

I hope to provide you all the best experience possible, and once again, I can't thank you all enough for the support, feedback, reviews, and more. And remember: honesty goes a long way, positive or negative.

From your always-humbled developer,

I can definitely see why that would be hard to balance for an H-game dev. There needs to be a balance: too slow, and people get bored (people don’t come here because they want an AO3-style 500k-word slow burn); too fast, and people call foul.

Since you mention establishing relationships over a much longer period, and stretching out the story, I just want to say that it’s important not to lose a sense of progression—with the girls or with the story. This is one reason why I, for instance, don’t read the aforementioned 500k slow burns on AO3: the relationship takes one step forward, followed by three steps back. I believe it’s important to always maintain forward momentum, especially when the relationship will progress over a large period of time.
