their campaign is still single player and that didnt change.
I guess you somehow missed the past 50 pages of discussion where people posted example after example of the devs clearly stating their main focus has switched over to MP, to the point they're now making MP exclusive content (but no SP exclusive content).

Now explain to me how their campaign is "still single player"? Because they say so? We can all agree that actions speak louder than words, and their actions clearly show that MP is their focus.

you are aware that the more resources they put into so called "gameplay" the less steamy stuff we get right
I do agree on that part, the game could have done without lofty promises of being a fully-fledged game on top of the porn - they neither have the resources nor the motivation to make the gameplay worthwhile, but as it stands the steamy part could have been a lot more than a glorified gallery viewer.

I guess what I wanted was some light RPG elements for the various female characters, so that one session isn't disconnected from the next.

I don't think that glossing over this simple fact is a healthy thing to do
But that's also ignoring how much this site does to spread awareness of various projects that would have likely languished in obscurity otherwise.

There's also the argument that the people that pirate weren't going to be paying costumers anyway - conflagrating every pirated copy of a product to a lost sale is questionable at best. Gabe's observation that piracy really comes down to service also rings very true.

I guarantee you that if someone were to crunch the numbers they'd find that percentage of gamers that pirate took a nosedive once Steam really took off. Also, just look at how laughable the Steam DRM is, Valve haven't done anything to update it in years. If piracy was such a pressing issue in the modern gaming market (it's not), they'd have invested massively into developing more robust DRM tools.

Truth of the matter is that piracy is here and is never going away, any developer that claims they started a project without being aware of this fact is either a fool or lying.

I mean sure, good to know..but it hardly changes my point. I guess if I said it wasn't the site's ONLY purpose then this wouldn't have been necessary. Semantics. I was simply responding to someone who was generalizing and saying that this site is for people who are here specifically to avoid paying. Hard stop. Which is objectively false, as plenty of people here are here for other reasons.
No, your point does not stand unfortunately, because if you play the semantics card then that benefit applies to the post to which you replied to as well, because in that sense his generalization was correct as that's the whole point of generalizations after all: A generalization is taking one or a few facts and making a broader, more universal statement, not necessarily discounting other facts that weren't specifically mentioned. So let's see what he said:
you're telling someone to just buy something in a place made for people specifically wanting to avoid paying
The site was specifically (primarily) made by and for people who want to avoid paying and that remains the main purpose to this day, therefore that sentence is objectively correct, unlike you proposed. Is it a generalization? Yes it is, but not only is his generalization based on a fact, exactly due to it being a generalization it means that he made no other implications, including one where the site is currently used only for that purpose; it was simply you who misinterpreted it or perhaps read too much into it, which ultimately lead to you feeling the need to reply.

Then I read that reply of yours and interpreted it as, at best, non-malicious misinformation, and thus I felt the need to reply with that tidbit of the site's trivia as a way to clarify the object, because your reply that said "that isn't the purpose of this site" in context DID imply (intentionally or not) that the site's main goal is not piracy, which at this point is hopefully pretty clear that is factually wrong.

0.40 Progress Report: Pubic Hairs and Outfit Set Themes

It has been three months since pubes have been approved in the monthly poll and it lays at the top of our todo list now.
Four pubic hair styles will be available to select from in 0.40, the upcoming Steam beta build: Stubble, Heart, Strip and Natural. Unlike the conventional diffuse + normal map approach, we groomed the pubic hair strains so they look impeccably realistic from any angle.

In the meanwhile we are propagating the current outfit design language to other characters: for example a school themed costume set including Alet's Academia Uniform, Erika's Sparkling Cheerleader, Dr.Anya's Head Teacher and Galatea's Sukumizu Swimsuit.

School
, Bunny Girl, Christmas and Succubus sets will be the first a few themes implemented in 0.40.

Their main focus is multiplayer content because that is what pays the bills. They are aware that the greater portion of their subscribers come for the pornography content. But they are working on the single player content and they have been keeping their word thus far. In actuality, a lot of people found out about their game from tube sites, not from f95. Searching for it the game leads people to f95.

so, i ve seen the talk about the different versions of the game and that they basically try to gatekeep it to multiplayer content connected to a patreon code or whatever method they can find...

now what confuses me is that steam and patreon both are platforms that cant take any media attention. if big media finds out about galatea and "Nodens' Chariot Hippokampoi"....

not gonna lie, the work done on the animations and all is awesome and i am willing to buy it via a distributer or directly, but only if they can provide more than 5 minutes of hyperrealistic animations ...because seriously....looking at AA, AI Shoujo, breeders of the nephelym...theres a lot to choose from, some even have gameplay too....imagine that...

as it stands i am more likely to wait and spend some cash on subverse instead of this dev-hell game....tho as i said, i am interested if this game could convince me that theres more than a gallery mode and hilarious anti-consumer tactics...

hope they add a patch or something alike in the future so they dont have to scrap the stuff they have to censor.

I'm surprised that people still think there is a "game" behind this demo. There hasn't been a single screenshot or video proving that this isn't a scam. And every time I ask for anything to prove me wrong, the developer completely ignores my question.
thats exactly my fear, back in the days i was about to support breeding season and shortly after that they closed because one of them is a scam artist that jumped to the next project... *e: just wanted to point out that the patreon/kickstarter/crowdfunder/subscribestar-projects have a damn uncanny high amount of ambitious roadmaps and minimal developement to milk their supporters.*

well anyways, as i mentioned before, if they can deliver something that makes this scene viewer stand out and add some gameplay, i might be interested, but so far with how they handled fallen doll and how this one is running with this multiplayer and censor stuff....yeah... watchlist but thats all i guess.

are those guys known for more than fallen doll and operation lovecraft? only seen this stuff on their patreon and the claims that they were working in some triple A gaming dev-studios...

I remember someone in this thread digged up two of their artists' artstation pages. One of them works for ubisoft and the other one for Tencent.

There were also claims that the mysterious director of project helius worked for bethesda at some point, although they were never confirmed or denied. Guess making a porn game is not something they boast about.

But, but, but! Its loading screens mention gamey concepts like Defence or Damage Reduction! Is that not proof enough that there is a game in there!?!!
