dude wtf, it's a porn game. If they really got that focused on the "actual gameplay" instead of steamy sexy girls we wouldn't be here in the first place.
They mentioned in comments that the reason they desperately want to put the whole thing on steam is that they can make use of steam's live update system and distribution servers so the players don't have to download the whole game via third party service like mega after every update (they tried to establish their own host server but found that it's difficult to guarantee players worldwide can all have fast download speed).

Even a porn game needs a decent gameplay. If not, then why bother with "the game" part at all? Just make it a simulation/interactive animation and be done with it. We want porn in a game, not porn with some pointless gameplay attached to it.
If they "desperately" need the whole thing to be on steam then not make R15 version and make a patch to enable R18 content. Why make it so complicated with idiotic harem mode that nobody wants if there's a simpler and tested (by other devs/publishers) solution? Not to mention R18 steam version will still be very risky unless they remove 80% of the scenes (animal-looking monsters, insects, forced or unconscious sex) - I can already see it being nuked by SJWs and getting banned.
