i don't know why everyone is arguing, it's not like you can't all have different desires.......
I play these 'games' just because I can choose the camera angles, sex roughness/niceness and the positions which something like pornhub doesn't let you do
I'd like to see horny gameplay too but it's not my focus especially if it doesn't involve sex.

Man minus the machine is a slave; Man plus the machine is a freeman.

Founded in 2038 by Elizabeth Carter, the sixth-generation descendant of the legendary writer and occultist , DMAIC is a mega corporation that rose to fame following their invention of the first generation cyberdoll. Despite heavy criticism for their disregard for scientific ethics, DMAIC has become a de facto monopoly in military and civilian cyberdoll development & manufacturing after a century of operation, thanks to radical business strategy coupled with the founder's keen insight.
After the start of the Second Age of Exploration, DMAIC quickly shifted its focus to developing cyberdoll models and industrial drones adaptable to cosmic environments to meet the labor needs of extraterrestrial colonies. Today, DMAIC is the largest supplier of industrial machinery in Neo England and is responsible for maintenance of the colony's infrastructure, including the Archimedes Orbital Station.
Elizabeth Carter has been at the helm of DMAIC for nearly two hundred years, but this iron-fisted technology oligarch shows no physical signs of aging. The official explanation from DMAIC is that Elizabeth has replaced her organs with bionic prosthetics to achieve immortality. Yet her longevity still spawned many a conspiracy theory, with some calling it a marketing ploy while more radical ones claim that the Carter family has a long history of cutting deals with aliens...

Thanks for that update.
man, the galatea post is of march 2020, and celia(2021) doesnt even have an ingame model atm?
i ve seen some other stuff they want to do, i hope they bring a bit more to the table with their "steam-release"-idea, but then again, they said they go for scene-viewer-multiplayer right now...
its like a car-crash on the roadside, its horrible to see, but you cant look away.

They posted celia's model and galatea's lewd voice sample in their discord server. No idea why they haven't showed them on Patreon yet.

A lot of effort is put into customizability and interactivity of sex scenes, which ultimately is the strength of this game and will be the selling point. So I don't think the direction they are going is wrong. They just don't have the man power to also do the fun stuff (from a customers view point) too. A new character to wank to is cool and all, but its more important to differentiate themselves from all those other sex games, if they want to get a good start at the steam release. This is a sex simulator. Not just some desperate dude trying to make anime tits more real.

Looks like a cross between Edelgard von Hresvelg and the Azur Lane Admiral Hippers, Specifically Prinz Eugen and Tallinn. Especially with that red hair streak.

Not that I hate it, but I'll be damned if the resemblance isn't canny.

You're really comparing a 3D game with sfm animations? wtf?
The complaints (likely an opinion shared by the majority of his patrons) just want an Unreal Engine SFM animation compilation with high quality animu, alien, and animal models. Maybe with some corn ball porno visual novel filler between scenes. Which is exactly what the "3D game" is at the present, and has been from the beginning. So they're not really wrong, from that perspective and with his budget, he should be putting out a similar level of content.

He doesn't secretly have some Lovecraft themed Mass Effect running behind the scenes, his SFM animations and asset farmed models are all he's got. Virt-A-Mate is WAY beyond this project in terms of customization, but it's Unity, and doesn't contract out AAA quality models and animations to package with it. This project is successful because it has uniquely high quality models, and caters to tentacle and bestiality fetishes. Nobody gives a fuck about a "game".

Kinda like Wild Life is already doing with its sandbox mode?

I just don't get all this negativity. They've been working hard for a long time, the game is coming together nicely, there's really no other game of the genre that is developing quite so quickly and smoothly - it's not going to be a short ride, the Steam release is just the beginning and it will take a couple years for the game to mature. There's a lot of stuff in the game already, give it a rest and let them work.

Am I missing something or are you getting confused because afaik sfm stands for source filmmaker what does sfm have to do with an unreal engine game?
I referenced SFM Animations, not SFM the software, but that's honestly an irrelevant distinction. SFM is colloquially synonymous with porn animations (often simple and looping) using 3D models. Much of this very forum is devoted to posting them. I was pointing out that this "Game" (as it stands, and all it has ever been) is simply an interface for viewing real time SFM style porn animations (with limited customization). These similarities are why a seeming lack of content might be criticized, with parallels drawn to the amount of content other creators put out with significantly lower budgets/manpower. An experienced creator can make looping animations (on par, if not beyond most of Fallen Doll's), replete with custom physics and morph deformations, in Virt-A-Mate inside of an hour or two. I would assume talented developers can produce better ones with even less work/time in UE4.

you can manage the speed, switch between two small adjustments to position, change their outfits, skin tone/colour, hair colour, wetness, and lighting. You can do none of this in a pre-rendered SFM animation.

If it's as easy as you say, then F95 should be swimming with high-quality 3D content.
Except it's not that easy, and most 3D content looks like complete ass. Or they rip the model directly from games, which is zero-effort and questionable.

There are only a few studios that can match Fallen Doll's level of fidelity (such as Illusion), and even less with the freestyle customization that FD has.

Yes, interactive porn is what people are here for. There has been zero gameplay revealed but hardly anyone cares about that; the writing was on the wall long ago.

anyone have the feb or can share?
There is nothing to share. The content will be in the Steam release and you will not have access to it unless you paid for the content, unlocked it on your account via likes, or modified the client.

Thank you for defining "real time" and "limited customization", as though they were not referenced in the post you're quoting and responding to.

There is actually an astonishing amount of high quality 3D porn these days, many creators are well beyond model rips and SFM. VR model and animation viewers are indeed very simple, there are dozens of them dating back to the earliest Oculus Dev Kit days (2012), as are dumping assets into UE or Unity, and making simple animations. The reason you're not swimming in them is because better solutions already exist, most developers distance themselves from the stigma of porn (particularly fetishes), have not been enterprising enough to monetize it, or do not have the contacts or know how to outsource the quality of art assets required to make it worth their time.

As I mentioned several times, the model quality is what sets Lovecraft apart, and why it's successful. Nobody has an issue with the fidelity. The question is whether it takes a year and a half, and upwards of a million+ dollars to make a handful of quality models and some dirt simple animation loops. Maybe, maybe not, but at minimum I would argue that the animations and interactivity are far too simple for that kind of budget and time frame. We're actually in agreement that there is no "game" here, which was the point I was making from the beginning. The posters I was responding to were excusing the arguably slow updates and the potentially questionable amount of content under the impression that there's some kind of "game" being made behind the scenes.

you also forgot that they purchased a motion capture studio and they are paying people to act out the scenes the very way they want them.

Motion capture is a worthwhile investment, but I wouldn't read too much into that unless they actually detailed the system (which they may have done?). If they did not, just know you can do quite good motion capture with a Vive/Index Kit and your desired number of $100 SteamVR "Puck" trackers. Any room with a couple SteamVR Lighthouses could technically be a motion capture studio (a lot of Virt-A-Mate creators use them for exactly that). I don't know why they were hire people to mimic thrusts and gyrations, but if they did, you can be sure they're not paying them much.
