Why? People showed they can do whatever they want without consequences. Of course they will want to hire their friend. Hire him twice. More than 100k monthly is a lot of money.
I really hope they accept this offer. They need someone to 'boss them around' (deadlines, responsibilities, professionalism). They showed they can't deliver anything on their own.

They said they were worried about the mystery publisher deal taking creative control away from them, I guess the implication being they would reduce or remove the nsfw stuff. Seems like they're trying to hold the game hostage. We want bigger payouts, give us bigger pledges or we take the publisher payout and gut the game.

I don't think a big investor cares about creative control. They care about money. To generate money you need to publish. And to publish you need planning, deadlines, competence...

Everyone assumed the big investor was EGS and they don't handle NSFW games. This was back when they were talking about splitting it into a single player SFW game and an online NSFW game. I don't know what they're doing any more.
I expect them to delay as long as possible until it starts hurting subs, then take the publisher deal and sell out.

The last released build is the one in the OP. The closed beta is running on Duke Nukem Forever time.
No and if there was the keys are suppose to be tied to peoples Patreon accounts for authentication and multiplayer networking. They have hinted at it coming out this month but I really don't expect it to happen.

When the announced Harem mode, they stated that it would be linked to Patreon for user authentication. They didn't know who would be their distributor of the game and they do not plan to do that their selves. Data transmission cost money. Example: Data transmission, in an AWS region, is free. Once data leave the region, Amazon will charge for transmission out side of the AWS Region. So DLSite and XVideos have agreed to host the game for distribution. Steam finally agreed to do so and the game entered alpha testing with their devs only having access. There was a video released to show this off. But with people having left the team, ProjectH being wishy washy about the 15 mil deal, and no word on when exactly the CBT (closed beta test) will take place, who knows. I am one of the few people, on f95, that are very pro supporters of this project. I subbed for a good while and I active watch their Discord while at work. But I am bitter that I was charged this month and they have not been firm with the CBT date, let alone narrow time frame. There will be no charge, on my card, next month. I'm not going to be the durak walking the streets and smiling for no reason.
