Now the question how does it work when run on official release? Is it possible for them to detect it and ban it via EAC? If one were to run the game normally is removal of the files required?
In theory ProjectH could release a client update that specifically looks for Mindflayer, but I personally don't think it's super likely. I haven't heard of any games scanning specifically for server emulators, and if they were to ban you somehow, what would they ban you from besides the official servers that you don't want to use anyway? I haven't heard of a developer revoking access to a Steam game for a specific account, although it might be possible in theory, in which case you'd have to use the crack. I tested Mindflayer with a Steam account that owns the game, and haven't faced any repercussions so far.

EAC is specifically not DRM according to Epic, and is not seriously useful outside of securing connections to their game servers. Mindflayer also generally avoids EAC by using the techniques I have posted about in my previous investigations.

To run the game normally, launch the game like normal, instead of running Mindflayer. Mindflayer has no effect when it is not launching the game itself.

The game is supposed to get update today - my guess is once update is out it wont work?
It's hard to be sure ahead of time, but it's possible that if they don't change anything network-related, there might not be a need for changes to Mindflayer. But even if I do need to update Mindflayer, I don't anticipate it taking very long.

I don't know myself about details but EAC should have capacity to look for running processes, right? It is not cracked version so EAC needs to be running? They could push update that has EAC report on next opportunity if it detects Mindflayer.

We are in beta its quite possible we will get new key for EA. Or that they do something to prevent your tool from working. I would rather not be relay on crack to run game i've paid for.

I understand, and nobody is going to make you do anything you don't want to. (Unless you count ProjectH making you play online to see new content.)

Even if your game isn't cracked, Mindflayer intentionally causes the EAC launcher to not start, although I'm not sure if that is enough to disable process scans.

With that said, I have read repeatedly in this thread about people who have purchased the game but want to play Harem mode offline. If you don't trust a server emulator and don't want to use cracks for whatever reason, then it seems like you aren't the target audience for Mindflayer, and that's OK.

Another option for these other folks would be to crack their own game files with Steamless & Goldberg, and disconnect from the internet if they really feel the need - that way they can play Harem mode offline, and they won't be detected by ProjectH so they can continue receiving updates.

I personally wanna use it for performance, like when the lobby is empty the performance is SOO much better. Preferable would be system that allows use of the harem scenes in gallery but that is bigger project i guess.
Btw. I take it that all the animations are already present in the client and there is no resource streaming being done?

I think its best to wait for crack and then run the game without steam/EAC meaning no danger of being detected.

Merry Christmas!

Here's the first public release of Mindflayer, my reimplementation of the online systems of Operation Lovecraft!

Mindflayer 1.0.0 (for game 0.4.2) Mega: Mega

Usage: Extract into the Paralogue/Binaries/Win64 folder of a cracked (or legit owned) game, run Mindflayer, and on the first run click OK and Yes.

Known issues:
- Going back to the changing room is not yet implemented and can be buggy
- Exiting a scene sometimes hides a part of the character's model (it comes back when starting another scene)
- Gacha elements such as the store, missions, news, mail, etc are intentionally not implemented
- Sanity and character stamina drain are currently not implemented, not sure if it's wanted

Note that this is for game version 0.4.2, which hasn't been released & cracked just yet. If you don't own the game, you will need to wait for a 0.4.2 crack. It doesn't quite work right with 0.4.0.

In the near future, I will continue cleaning up the code so I can open-source the project on GitLab, and when the next game version comes out (supposedly soon) I'll be ready to fix anything that breaks.
first of all ty for ur work, but i downloaded and its not working, i have the 0.4.2 from steam.
When i acces the game via the Mindflayer.exe i log into the game but is like im offline i cant acces harem mode

Like all sex games this title is empty. Tried the steam demo, the biggest difference is the graphics finally something that looks decent. But what this game is about ? Classic porn games problem: just sex scenes, gallery modes etc. , fap and forget the F&F rule, shame cause I would like to see actual good adult game with decent gameplay and acutal stroy or something. Tried of game market full of crap, I know how it works with porn games, but really it would awesome to have finally something good. You can watch totally brutal shit on screen but sex or naked body is worse or forbidden, and people are so hypocrite, calling people perverts look this is sexual game bla bla but deep down those who are against normal approach to sex in general are so perverted beyond imagination.

Are there any ways to view the product activation key? I had it once, but I lost it. In principle, the assemblies previously worked without hacking, so the key is stored somewhere on the computer, but where?

I'm also having this same issue, followed the installation steps to make the certificate and all. Clicking harem mode loops back to the main menu (as if you were offline)

To clarify, it won't launch on 0.4.0 at all? Thanks for your effort regardless. This game will come out eventually (in two or three years) or will be shared again eventually. I don't think anyone in here is in a hurry. Happy Holidays!
