I don't understand

1. Galatea is like "Marie Rose" from DoA i mean a 18 years girl
2. Steam said it is because their policies someone like Galatea in the game is not moral. Really? Steam have a game called Koitaksu a game when you can make girls that look under 18
thing is, they probably (citation needed) won't intentionally advertise the game using such a character, whereas when galateea would drop she would be advertised and that could get to the "wrong" authority, whereas if people make custom characters that look like that it's easier to dodge a fine or whatever

DOA is a porn game? I know you can install nude mods but it's definitely not a porn game, Koitaksu (or any other Illusion game released on Steam) are censored even more than the original Japanese version, they also lack mod support, if you want to enjoy Illusion games , stay away from the Steam version.

Well that's a shame, seeing as she's the only character (that I know of) that they were teasing...
They do have a bunch of teasers of other stuff, which they spam to make up for the lack of actual development progress.

I don't understand
You can see the whole discussion if you look up "Galatea" in the thread, but the bottom line is that, because the actual goal of development is to monetize this game as hard as they can, they went from "THE game with true hardcore content" to "Just hardcore enough to allow us to stay below censorship levels so we can sell in mainstream platforms to wide audiences".

Same reason for which they swapped "Deny" to "Low compatibility" and then silently removed many of the "Deny" animations.

I feel the need to post this every time the discussion comes up, but it's because her lore describes her explicitly as a child and Helius for whatever reason decided to submit that to Steam and leave it up in the Discord.

Very few publishers that publish in North America or Europe are going to touch that. Legal Minefield.

Agreed. Some of this was likely their own doing. Her lore explicitly entails that she was meant to provide comfort to childless couples. I know where some people's heads are at in this, but that actually entails she was meant to be a surrogate daughter or sorts.

Sure, we may know that she is probably more mature (AI wise) than her physical appearance may entail, but they would need to rework her entire background and lore. Otherwise it's a minefield nobody is going to want to walk into. No publisher is going to want to greenlight a game that sexualizes and pornographies an Android/AI with the appearance of a young teen at best, who was created with the express purpose to be a surrogate daughter for childless couples; even *if* she is likely far more mature intellectually then her may let on. It'd be a goddamn legal mess to explain away to the people that would banging on their door; and a legal nightmare that defend.

If PH wanted to avoid this, they should have changed her backstory entirely and made clear she was 18, even if it makes no sense from an in-game standpoint considering she's an AI, therefore her physical age matters less than her conceptual one.

Per usual though, they didn't really think that through; which leads me too believe there desire to get her in originally was a low priority.

honestly I see the same, even between gallery mode and harem on the same version (0.49) I feel like there's this odd difference, gallery is just more crisp in a way
nevermind the fact that you can actually get closeups in the gallery, while in harem you're limited to like a meter away and need to fuck with the camera to get it any closer...why they needed to limit that is fucking beyond me.
also, in the gallery, my fps doesn't go negative when I look closely at hair

I think the online part of the game was their biggest mistake.
I think so but they don't. They keep players online, update it periodically... so if you want to experience all the features the game has to offer buy it, also the way they limit cracking. But at the end of the day, I just call it 'fake AAA' for 6 years of production

Didn't you hear mate? You can't buy the game any more. Aside from beta access to their alpha test of their game (their way of describing the state of the game) you can't buy the game any more because it's going completely "free to play"
