This isn't true though, at least from what I know.

If I'm not mistaken they had originally a different concept, which eventually evolved into Fallen Doll which obviously warranted a major overhaul. Then they were offered a potential financial support and due to this matter and monetization/content changes they had planned it eventually evolved into Harem. Harem involves online infrastructure so this is completely fresh and not a simple rebuild. However, they didn't do a good job testing this and they basically skipped proper optimization entirely before launching the alpha which was a bad idea but isn't really that unusual for alpha. Up to this point nothing is weird or greedy and anyone who thinks otherwise doesn't really have any experience with alpha and beta phase of games.

Next came the actual rebuild, which was recently finished. This was obviously necessary because of the train wreck that the first release with online functionality we got. This marks this as the first real rebuild so people shouldn't overexaggerate this is some perpetual scheme. We've seen such plans with projects before but, at least for now, that has not happened here.

Do they deserve feedback for misteps? Certainly, but do proper feedback rather than nonsense hate agendas otherwise you just look silly.

I'd be curious about what this corruption is but I'm fairly confident the response I'm going to bet it isn't based on reality or any logical reasoning. You should include specific information of your supposed conspiracy theories so we can at least tag along for your lunacy.

These are the kind of posts that are just trying to spread fire with malicious intentions. It contains plenty of false information and nonsense.

The game was first available around 2016 as far as I can tell which is approximately 6 years, not 8.

The alpha with the last update was less than a year ago, being last December, and not 2 years.

The game is in alpha and has really only had one major update and some minor updates during that December alpha launch before they realized this wont work and had to delay it with a major rebuild. This is totally normal for alpha to be a disaster. This your first alpha test bro? The average alpha starts out initially far worse than this one, but usually they don't do a major rebuild after an alpha launch so that part is a bit unusual though there are valid reasons for this. Clearly, there were different ways they could handle the situation and they chose a major rebuild. Of course it is buggy and not fully optimized Sherlock. Guess what? When the rebuild happens, which is still alpha, there are going to be bugs and it will not be crystal f'ing flawless even then. This is how development works. Hell, AAA titles release regularly in a worse state nowadays, as bs as that is.

The game's alpha launch came with quite a bit of content, not far from an illusion game in fact. They've also showed and talked about quite a bit of content but its still very early in. Content will probably be its strongest aspect due to the monetization season pass model they have in mind but its all delayed until they relaunch with the rebuild and throw in the extra content they've been actively showing off in the meantime. You're being ridiculous and illogical.

If you're going to whine at least do so about legitimate reasons and not made up crap. Complain about communication needing improvement, about poor transparency regarding galatea, about inconsistent information regarding campaign, gallery, and other plans, and you know actual real issues.
Are you new supporter right?

Not worth fighting with them. I did it for awhile and gave up. If you enjoy the process, feel free to keep supporting them. You shouldn't let others dictate how you feel as it is your decision should not be up to others.

complaining about patreon on a pirate website is just peak privilege
Well there’s three of them bitching that no one has a right to complain if they don’t pay. Which is bullshit to begin with, but also completely pointless since the works are released for free officially soon after.

IMO it doesn't matter if you put money into supporting a project or not. commenting on delays and long development cycles are healthy too. but then attacking people for supporting a 'failed' project just because you're salty is pretty sad

In this instance people are complaining about the video being released unfinished intentionally, for time according to the dev despite being delayed previously so and with said dev saying it would have been only another 4 days to finish it with voicework already finished.

The other side is spitting venom about how those who do not pay have no right to complain about the unfinished state, and that the dev has no obligation to adhere to the details of the work commissioned of them. They have directly compared us to fat basement dwelling loser, though most of the most foul comments have been reported and removed.

Huh that sucks. Kinda reminds me of NTR man, he posts all the time on his patreon about how ppl are shitting on his work and his mental state. But then on Patreon, the comments are nothing but support for him as far as i see. Its weird. I know people usually end up focusing on the negative stuff and overlook positive feedback/support. It sucks.

You keep saying it is normal for an alpha game but you are missing the point why this game is getting so much hate.
The point is:
Who said developer should get extremely greedy to the point of abandoning previous game(og fallendoll had some gameplay mechanics at the very least) and constantly lie, only to turn previous game into this terrible online "game".
There aren't even any gameplay mechanics in this "game".
You can't defend this by saying "well AAA games are buggy so its normal", no, it is not normal and this game isn't AAA game.
Games are supposed to be buggy in alpha phase yes, but there isn't a single reason for this game to be STILL in alpha phase other than developer's greed and easy to exploit whales supporting them on patreon.
6 years is more than enough time even for a SINGLE/SOLO developer to complete a game.
So here's YOUR constructive feedback: Go fund/support another game if you value your intelligence.

But if you don't want to, that's okay. The fact is, dev is playing all of you so good, it is actually fun to watch.
So, I'll continue watching this thread in the vr mode of koikatsu(or whatever game illusion releases next) while you guys get the free mobile online coop gacha porn game you deserve/desire/defend.

And lastly, your comparison of this game to illusion games was so funny it made me smile, you should consider atleast playing the games before comparing them to eachother.

@ Hate.
Hate will always propagate here like fire in Australian forest. It is simple - people want to feel good about themselves and in your average Joe The Pirate mind pirating game from a greedy/corrupt devs is a good deed.
I don't think anyone here was impacted by what Helius was doing 8 years ago on some Chinese sites. Nor it really matters for the current project what plans he had back then. But it doesn't stop people from claiming game has been 8 years in development. Falled Doll being abandoned wasn't really making anyone upset when it happened.
Yes there are plenty of good reasons to complain about the dev/game but you know what?

It doesn't matter. Look, we are aware of the games "new" direction for a year now ? Compared to a year ago he only lost 15% supporters. Such drop is to be expected due to lack of updates. So clearly supporters aren't bothered by what he is doing or what is good outweigh the bad. He will release a version with new girl, most animations just copy pasted with just few new and he will get +20%. Also i wouldn't be surprised if during the beta spike from one time donations he would make a year worth of regular patreon income.

We’ll see. Imo his patreon support peaked in December and is only downhill from here. It’s not done dropping.
That is the beta spike - December is the highest peek but look at minimum - the minimum is same as it was before beta.
Those are not patrons but people just getting the beta access and gtfo'ing.
Sure it is dropping but that is 9 months without patch now.

@ hate haters
It is simple - people want to feel good about their spendings and in your average consumer mind trying to justify a game they've paid for is a good deed.

But don't worry, that drop will matter sooner or later:
When even the whales start to realize dev haven't kept his promises and constantly changed his goals and even abandoned his previous actual game in favor of this "game". It's going to be like no man's sky but without the comeback part. Or more recently, babylon's fall.

But who am I to judge, maybe this "game" could actually become a game. Actually, nevermind, scam citizen being completed someday has higher chances of happening than this "game" becoming an actual game.

I don't know about others but I was born in the 90s where gaming was simple. You pay a 1 time fee you get the complete game end of story. Want final fantasy 7? buy it play it love it job done. Want ff7 remake? we gonna split it into 3 parts which will actually be at least 7 parts once we count 20 dollar dlc per parts released totalling about 300 dollars for 1 game good deal right guys. 90s and 2000s also had a wonderful thing called demos where you could play a portion of the game to get a feel of it. I use pirating as a morale compass really. I'm not really struggling for money using a 2k pc and then being unable to buy some shitty 30 dollar season pass porn game I will pirate it see if it's good and if it turns out to be good and worth the money I will buy it so the devs have money to continue the game or make their next game. If it's a total piece of shit filled with microtransactions then I can throw the game away and be happy that I didn't pay for it first before being able to try so I lost nothing. People won't use demos anymore because they know their product is shit and it will only expose them self and earn way less sales. That and the fact you can barely even buy a complete game anymore because it's going to have day 1 dlc and microtransactions out the gate to unlock parts of the game despite the fact you literally just paid full price for the fucking game lol.

It's also hilarious people try to have a morale high ground on pirating when you have the biggest gaming platform in the world, steam has a feature that literally lets you play a game for up to 2 hours and refund it full price no questions asked. If you were extremely sweaty you could have 10 steam accounts using refund abuse and migrating your save files you complete full triple A games without ever paying for it. It's effectively the exact same as piracy but these underhanded tactics only came about before devs them self decided to be scumbags who want to use the "pay first ask questions later" reply. Oh don't like the game too bad our money now :)

It's not even about saving money in this games case either it's literally saving you wasting your life. It's a sex game just give the animations and fuck off if there is no real game like a xcom game behind unlocking it. Watching other old men jacking off in a spaceship with different animations to unlock them for hundreds of hours while paying 100+ dollars per year to unlock 2 new characters and a few new animations how they think this is ever going to have any amount of success is so funny. Like it was so simple just make a porn xcom where you unlock adult content through playing the game that was perfect you already had everything perfect but why do that surely a gacha microtransaction battlepass with zero gameplay path was much better. It's so cringe idiots still defend this shit knowing how much potential it had at the start lol. Am I the only one around here who wants a normal type of game where you unlock the porn through playing it without some retarded microtransaction or other monetisation bullshit going on?

I'm just gonna laugh it out. I remember times when i was upset about games being dumbed down for the sake of consoles. These days I'm happy games are still made for consoles and PC that are just one time purchase without mobile practices - mtx, boosters, season pass , gacha you name it.

But what i want and what is the reality are two different things. Mobile practices bring in the most money, people are slowly but surely getting used to p2w,pay to not grind, lootboxes .
Waifu collector gacha is super profitable and it costs the least to upkeep. Why it wouldn't work for porn game?
It only matters if there are alternatives. As long as the game has something that can't be found in other games that people want it will see success no matter the shitty practices they put in it.
