Imagine monetizing what is essentially a tech demo and trying to force it into your "game as a service" bullshit before it's even in a workable state. Devs are skipping the entire development pipeline and shooting for the money at the end.

worst part is that they're making fat stacks like this while I'm working an entry job and could barely feed myself with it if not for my dad

I praised this game, still do. There is hope still for something grandious, something trully great, yet no progress by helios has been witnessed for past 2 years, all the same bullcrap they've been feeding us. Nothing will change I know. But there's hope, never underestimate that.

You know they aren't charging anyone for any 'service' or 'content' yet aside the basic EA/alpha base game cost that any other would charge, right? You're name is adequately fitting here.

Quality isn't top priority when gacha is involved ... never a good sign when these appear in any game.. it just means the best stuff will constantly be hidden behind a paywall.

Don't quote me but I think the goal isn't to hide it behind a paywall but to give you an excuse to play regularly and focus on characters you like. As they release more content your goal is to mainly unlock poses and content for characters you care about most first and foremost. Those characters are likely not going to have much in the way of content issues but if there was someone like say, Anya, whom you don't care for they're likely to lag behind significantly as you don't put much stuff into them compared to Alet who you dump all your currency into or the next new character, and so forth. This is mainly only an issue for completionist or the occasional case of someone who likes every single character equally, and probably not much of a problem for most players. They do have the ability to copy poses easily for those ones you lack if you see someone using them though. They're supposed to improve the grinding rates so they're not so grindy, too, but this will probably be a work in progress over the entire development as I can't see them getting this just right in the next update.

I praised this game, still do. There is hope still for something grandious, something trully great, yet no progress by helios has been witnessed for past 2 years, all the same bullcrap they've been feeding us. Nothing will change I know. But there's hope, never underestimate that.

We got an actual game to play less than a year ago. I mean, if you would have just left it at complaining about lack of updates during the rebuild I'd get you but you went and had to exaggerate too much and it just became dishonest. The game is quite playable for decent specs but they are doing a rebuild because its not where it really needs to be. It sucks for us because the rebuild has held up them adding in content updates, though.

Don't forget that they have to reinvest a lot, probably most, of that money back into the project to continue development. This is how any development project goes. I'm not sure why your acting like they shouldn't make enough money to survive while also getting more money to continue work on a game that is not yet complete. This isn't new or alien. It's how virtually every game is made.

I saw Helius missed your inquiry about if other characters were dropping or we're sticking with base. I think its worth pursuing so I hope you can get a response on that because this is something I don't think Helius has been clear enough about I would like an answer to if we can get one.

This game is following the same steps as Wild Life -- another game that fell short of it's potential, forgot it's purpose and started chasing $$$

Money chasing money = no product.

I wish this had some truth to it, because it would mean there were competing products that were of decent quality but there aren't. There is, unfortunately, almost no high quality 3D porn games aside from Illusions repetitive releases, VAM's crawling along when we get there, Wildlife which does a lot but has major low quality issues and is extremely niche, and the excessively limited Captain Hardcore project, aside from Fallen Doll. Most other projects fall far shorter. Something new would have to basically appear virtually overnight and make drastic progress to accomplish this.

Wow, I thought for sure I was shooting in the dark on this one. Just first off, I think it shows a lot you're actually willing to engage. And I know you're not a direct dev, I have my suspicions for why a lot of backer feedback gets ignored anyway. Helius is right, this isn't news to anyone following the discord but any sense why stuff like Gallery and Campaign being dropped doesn't get broadcast to potential Patrons or even really steam followers? It really leaves a sour taste when this exact issue is part of what made last Novembers launch bad, with many things mostly being distributed through the discord so the masses felt blind sided.

Is there any reason here to start feeling worried steam will be censoring even more now that Xeno's are blocked from most of the new content? A big pull of going Origins to Paralogue was more extreme content like monsters, so with little news on hound re-work, new xenos, or updates to the other map is there any reason to think Steam may be making the team slow down on more than just Galatea?

Also, in terms of Galatea the answers have always been cagey. What exactly was it that steam approved a ways back? My assumption has been it was in regards to the SFW campaign, but with that out where do things stand? And why the hesitance to just state she's been reworked? A characters whose lore is a 10 year old looking child surrogate is going to be a nightmare to land in Steam.

Also also, final note but you should be able to ping the mod and get a little chit saying you're affiliated with the project. And welcome to the dark side.

I'll answer this separately since it's a bit of a long one, for your question:

as far as i understand the reason why gallery stopped being worked on is because it initially had been develop on another engine, different pipeline and old infrastructure making it very difficult to make it work together with new system being used in harem mode, the plan however is still including stuff into the harem mode at a later point in time.

the campaign is not scrapped! but been put on hold until helius finished the harem rebuild and give everyone a fulfilling experience in harem mode or at least better then it's current status, main focus is getting a working build out before moving onto the next major update.

As for communication from helius himself, helius works hard on the project and is very busy plus managing all social media is a bit much we tried to take some of these things of his hand but it still remains difficult now i know this isn't a excuse, sometimes it's difficult to get information we can share too the public and most information probably comes from us which is mainly discord centered as we have no access to helius social media, the staff however does try to encourage helius to share more information with us and the community to give proper answer to everyone's question but until this day it's still not where we would like to have it although it's a bit better then it was before. (we are still working on that one) why this is i cannot tell you but as a dev i can imagine there are things you can't or won't yet share but this is for helius to decide how and when he likes to communicate towards the community.

the Xeno situation: this is only the limitation of the map as some people got excluded and ended up into empty rooms now instead of a switch the maps just separate into this one does allow and the other one doesn't( as far as i am aware), which we got complains about so this is not specifically censoring just more of thing that changed due to feedback and preventing (technical implications)ill ask still some more information if needed.

the only "censoring problem" we had was with Galatea being too small for patreon so for precaution helius took galatea back to the drawing board so to speak and re-adjusted her height (shouldn't have implications with how she currently looks)
and she has now been accepted by steam so she'll appear in the game s00n and yes also for sexual content.
steam itself is honestly really depending on what kind of person you talking too on the other side you would think that a sizeable game as this project would get more guided directions from steam but unfortunately dealing with steam on our side has been tedious to the least, but they gave us a green light on "monsters" as long as they do not represent any "irl" animals, but so far most things have a oke. steam does want to check every individual patch so everything has be re-reviewed every single time i assume due to the fact that it's a 18+ nsfw game steam is acting way more strictly then any other game this also implies every single thing being added hence why it takes long.

He then links that to not wanting to invest in an sfw title, with no one else bringing up the sfw title in the meantime so that link is entirely his own. Obviously this gets a bad reaction from people as stuff being canned is never a good sign.

It's only after the reaction and with Miya's involvement that things are then backtracked. You work with Miya so I won't spend too much time talking shit on them, but after following this a while I've come to learn to take the things Miya says with a heavy grain of salt.

Anyway, no one denies that the campaign was in progress before this statement, is no longer in progress after this statement, and has no definite plans of work at this time. Given the sharp backtrack and that the situation alone fits a decent definition of cancelled it's hard to argue that saying it's not cancelled is anything more than splitting hairs. I mean, "It's not cancelled, we're just no longer working on it" doesn't really sell. I'm still going to call that cancelled.

There's no shortage of empty servers in both modes when you boot it up, simply because there's no one really playing anymore. I've only seen 1 other person total between both.

I'm not really sure why this keeps being brought up in the past few pages but he has not described her ever as being an actual child. The past several quoted references by you and others also verify this. She has always been classified as an adult and not with a young age, either.

What is being said is she has the physical appearance of someone very young and that Patreon and Steam have been difficult to get this approved, which is rather ironic considering other games allow actual minors but I digress. She looks young, but there are plenty of real humans that look insanely young that are adults, too. It's just a difficult subject because, again, she looks young even if she is legitimately not. A real 28 year old woman would face the same concerns in some movie and TV scenes if she looked particularly young, too, simply as a product of immediate appearances.

You act like its still a major issue but as it has already been reported Galatea is at a point where she has already been approved for sexual content in her current form, granted there does need to be some case base case approval from what Helius suggested so new content for her may possibly come at a slower rate than other characters though hopefully this does not turn out to be the case.

It would be nice if Helius dropped her trailer already though instead of dragging it out. At least you guys got some screenshots and info that you all have been asking for, though a proper update about the rework ETA would certainly be golden.

the "scrapped" statement i think it's more the problem how helius worded it you can ofcourse look at it at 2 different ways but in his opinion NSFW>SFW content hence why i stated that he first wants the harem mode to be proper before jumping the gun on a major think like a sfw campaign, as helius stated at least to us it's hard for him to come up with a SFW idea for campaign, everyone offered him help both discord staff and artist to assist with it but it's ultimately up to helius to do decide if he wants to do it or not but we can call it scrapped or on hold but i do believe there is still intention on working on a campaign somewhere in the future. i do agree that it's all a bit yes and no maybe game and people don't know for sure if this is gonna happen or not but neither can i honestly.

So again i can say that galatea currently is accepted by steam and there has been push back from patreon as we all know.
steam in general has been a lot more accepting of things with a few adjustments (altough sometimes differs per person), for patreon side of things i can't really say what will be the out come but first issue was that people actually reported galatea to patreon hence they contacted helius they been pressuring helius about these issues but as far as i know nothing has come of it and they have given a semi-pass on things for now i can't say what will happen in the future but as long as steam is oke with it i don't think it's a issue it will just mean helius can't say much bout her on patreon or offer a build directly on patreon (which he already isn't) this is all something we can only take as face value as i only know it's been accepted and helius will bring out a video in the future. I don't have any influence if steam where to backtrack the issue, but in that regard none can, we all know that "loli" content is extremely volatile but this is a issue not only with this game but across pretty much any NSFW project.


xeno thing was more a technical complication where people get set into a new empty room instead of being matched when turning xeno off, of course this is hard to measure if it's like this because not many people are intrested in non-xeno content or specifically a problem with the way the system works hence its just being split as a dirty fix.
some monsters have been questioned by steam but as long as in steam's words they are "more alien like" there shouldn't be a issue altough designs are up to question by the steam review which differs per person you get into contact with so it's extremely inconsistent which was already a problem during the whole 'keys' situation.

Earlier today Helius confirmed that the Galatea trailer is to be in next progress update which is two weeks from now. She is also confirmed to be officially in-game as of the first year pass. Its nice to have some clear ETA on that.

What I make from the recent influx of information is that the PH modding/scam team does whatever they feel like doing and then come up with a myriad excuses to avoid any responsibility. Look at that good ol' name dropping in that change report, to keep up with old habits.

Considering their record, it's hard to take their statements at face value. I'd say we can expect anything to happen next and that there's no real direction other than milking this as much as possible.

haha, also i wouldn't call it brave i believe everyone is capable of a normal adult conversation i do believe that both this community and our community is interested in a good porn game one way or another, someone asked me too come in and have a talk and so i think its worth a shot, i'm always open to hearing 2 sides of a story.

1) it is visible by others but most of the time dev's share their stuff when they feel like as it's not mandatory to do so
but helius shares stuff when he feels like it.

2) yes, we use a 3rd party chat outside of discord where we share content and information with devs and artists.
