Unreal Engine Fallen Doll: Operation Lovecraft [v0.4.9 Cracked] [Project Helius]

This might come to a dead end but I have an issue someone might know an answer I can't figure myself so here we go:

I re-downloaded this game recently as last time I just messed around with the instalations but since theres nothing but sex sim, I ended up deleting it shortly, back then all fine and all. So this last time I booted the game normally and now I'm facing an issue where textures just fail to load no matter how much time I leave it there, and only changes to this machine is I added an extra RAM stick and a sata drive (game was extracted to the M.2 in replicate the last time it went well), so question is; does the RAM sticks being from different brands (though same frecuency just one 16 Gb and the other 8 Gb) be the issue here, or something else?

P.S: drivers are up to date, and the specs are i5-10300, GTX 1650, leave a SS for reference. :/

While mixing different memory sticks is in general not a good idea, version 0.4.9 had many problems with textures not being streamed in at full resolution. This is one of the very few things that 0.7.0 seems to improve.

You can search this thread for "Engine.ini" to find various hints on how you could manually tweak the game's config to fix this issue.

Gave the newest patch a try so I'm just going to list some things I've noticed/my thoughts...

Gallery still has the extreme depth of field bug when you zoom in near the girls, performance seems to be worse now in Harem. I was getting 30-40fps at 1080p, 1440, and 4k, on both the orbital station and erotes club so I'm guessing there's some graphical bugs going on there aswell. There are still errors that pop up occasionally when you try to connect to Harem, but it does actually allow you to connect now and link your Patreon/get rewards.

I don't know if I'm just seeing things, but the game overall looks worse to me compared to 0.4.9 I thought maybe it was caused by DLSS but even with it off it still looks less detailed. Also, analyzing cards is really annoying, it reminds me of Star Wars Battlefront 2, and the animation isn't skippable either so you have to sit through it each time. You can also get duplicate animations when analyzing, I thought Helius said they were going to stop that from happening, but maybe I'm missing something?

All in all, after a year + few months worth of waiting, this update is disappointing, and I already had low expectations.


EDIT: It seems hiding other players helps with performance a little, and now I'm wondering what was going on the entire year while they were supposed to be fixing/improving this? It seems to me like they're using DLSS as a crutch to brute force performance rather than actually addressing issues. Also, hiding players only partially works it seems. It looks like when someone leaves an animation they become unhidden. Visuals definitely seem to have taken a hit. I remember being impressed by the quality of the textures/models when you zoomed in close to them, but now it just looks like the same quality you'd see in other unreal engine porn games like Carnal Instinct and Wild Life. Not that those games look bad, but Fallen Doll was a step above them (imo at least) and now it lost that edge. I think my overall opinion now is that there's no reason to play this game seeing as it's just a hassle grinding and there's no visual edge anymore. The girls look nice and the premise is cool, but the execution makes the whole game fall flat when there are other porn games available that actually offer you the porn without having to jump through hoops, and speaking of jumping through hoops I really don't understand what they're going for with the sanity mechanic. I genuinely don't understand, it's like they're punishing people for... playing? Why halt the player from gaining experience and likes? Why incorporate grinding in a porn game just to limit the amount of grinding you can do?

That is just really intriguingly weird. They seriously weren't able to reconcile what users were meant to receive with what they actually received and just post adjustments, and instead had to wipe everything and start again?

So many of the issues with this game just make vanishingly little sense. From the performance issues with player counts in the ~200 range to not only giving out the wrong reward but apparently being incapable of tracking them and the simplest solution being a full reset... I really hope UC, or someone who has seen at least some of the inner workings, does some kind of write up when everything inevitably implodes.

if UC had any sort of say in this hot mess I'm willing to bet my left nut that this game would be at least functional, but he probably doesn't. Either that or even he is overwhelmed by the sheer incompetency of the rest of the staff and the poor work quality.

The requirements for compatibility are

1. Same DDR version obviously
2. Same or similar timings

The lowest frequency will be picked from the two, so no worries there
Dual channel will be available up to 8 + 8 GB of RAM in your case, so you will see it in effect up until you need 16GB of RAM from which point the memory operations will be slower. Still, MUCH better to have 8 + 16 GB than 8 + 8 GB, assuming you actually need more than 16 GB ever...which is unlikely.

Uh its true but not in term of compatibility but rather performance. Mismatched frequencies just means the faster one will slow down its frequency to match the slower RAM. Also regarding DDR gen, if its not the right gen it wouldn't even fit on your board in the first place.

Not sure what Heleus was thinking with this.
I mean, Heleus has got to be aware of the fact that there are other and much, MUCH less predatory games that offer similar content. Sure, if this game was the only one of its kind Heleus could get away with this but considering the competition, he's shooting himself in the foot.

Guy should've taken a page out of AdeptusSteve's playbook.
Ditch the multiplayer, make a map and crank out a bunch of extra animations (and characters) on the regular to keep patreons hooked while also improving on the overall game till you are ready for release. Not this nonsense.

The last one 'fixed' the network stuff.

Basically if anyone has the latest game files, I know how to get into them. I don't want to say how here if a dev sees it, but I got into the last closed betas files, but I'm not sure the method will work any more since Denuvo was added.
If someone could zip them up and send them to me I would be grateful, and will share what i find here.

Thank you, I will see what I can do with it, there was an update recently, i think you had to boot the game to download it.

oddly this isn't much bigger than the demo was. so not sure if anything was added. or if they went the "download as you play" route like mobile games.

Saddly it looks like this dev is paranoid on top of greedy. they have encrypted their AES key now. so for those of you who know what I'm talking about you have to own the closed beta in order to get the unwrapped key.
