Big budget 3D games are kind of screwed no matter where you go, Illusion just rehashes their old games with less content and more DLC.

Is this with or without DLSS? When I tried the update earlier in March I didn't see any option for FSR, so maybe they're on AMD cards and can't benefit from any performance boosts from DLSS. Though even if they aren't, there were people in the Discord server saying they didn't notice any performance improvements either. For me it ran the exact same as 0.49, but every time I tried there were other people in the lobby so maybe performance was being hogged down by that, but then again that's what was supposed to have been addressed in the rebuild...
If only I could test without running into issues lol.

Whenever he finishes a game he just go absolutely silent. Could be making a game, could have quit, could have done anything else other than not appearing dead online. I lean towards him making another game since he did post a concept sketch which could be found somewhere in the Alien Quest Eve thread

I dont think people remember how shit the performance really was in 0.49. My result of 70 fps on live was in a full lobby even though i didnt post the full lobby screen (GL getting a private lobby on live). Vs me being the only player on the cracked build still only getting 38 FPS.
But you may be right, AMD graphics usually require better game specific driver fixes to improve things, which i dont think FD will get lol.
Also to the Alien Quest EVE point, i also agree its unfair to use it as an example because literally every other dev is put to shame by Grimhelm. Dude only ever asks for help when he needs it. No bullshit. What a legend.

Grimhelm didn't by any stretch of the imagination make a game that had great gameplay either, in the end. All he was was honest with his audience, a decent dev, a decent game designer and great animator. I think that's not too much to expect from your average porn game but alas here we are flooded by crap projects.

Helius has explicitly said it was an anti-piracy thing. There is no other reason.
Go to page 1 and download the cracked 0.4.9 version. You'll be missing a map and one playable character but the map doesn't make much difference tbh, the graphics will look better (although performance was a bit worse) and you won't have to grind for days to unlock anything.

Even for the gallery it isn't worth cracking because it's now broken, won't be updated ever + seemingly removed in a later update.

But i strongly advise keeping your money, this project is the very definition of everything that could go wrong, went wrong.
In it's current state, it's now a full gacha with the only thing missing is being able to buy premium currency (which will certainly become possible very soon)

The writing takes more effort than using AI to draw random sketches/artworks of Soon™ to be added characters to the game. Speaking of Soon™ to be added characters, are you dogging Galatea with the boys yet?Except he didn't "underreport" anything. Dev of that game was decent. He didn't re-invent the wheel. Game was pretty much ok. Certainly not bad but not the best game ever either. But you wouldn't know that because I doubt you even played it.

The green bucks are already the premium currency. You receive an amount corresponding to how much money you wasted on them on Patreon (8 green bucks for $1 approximately). However, I am not sure if they will keep sending them for future Patreon sub money, or if it was just one-time thing on 0.7.0 release. Maybe you get nothing from now on.
You can use the green bucks to unlock the new character (it's locked to all by default). That costs around $20.
Then you can use the premium currency to level the "battle passes" (it levels at snail pace by doing pretty much anything in the game otherwise). That costs $60 to max one of them from level 1.
So that's approximately $260 to max all battle passes on the 4 characters. Which unlocks clothes (not all of them), gives you some items and currencies. It does NOT unlock any animations, but it gives you some gacha rolls. You then have to use other currencies for more unlocks, or you can spend green bucks at exchange of a bit below $1 per one gacha roll.
It's basically free!

It's not unusual for him to disappear for a few years but this is his longest hiatus so far. I wouldn't be surprised if he popped up again though.
