The wait won't be very long since they have less than 13k supporters now :HideThePain:
Minimum $4 / month x 13,000 subs = $52,000 a month.
Take into account exchange rate(historically USD is higher than destination country), "employee" wages, game "assets", server, website, payment processor, and Denuvo(either per key 15c ea or per month $50,000 **#'s found on reddit ).
Plus other costs I missed.

You might be right.

Wait what? I didn't realize Illusion is RIP. FFFF
There goes the one company making simulators without relying on patreon. I bet Helius was happy like no other about it.

Rebranding... Correct me if I'm wrong but If they want to escape the debt they need to leave the IPs behind, that means they lose access to all assets that they have created in the past. They can't use them, they are owned by some bank or whomever was investing in them. They reused a lot from past games so that means the games/sims will be much smaller but also most probably studio neo is gone.
Another issue is financing, after doing what they did who is gonna invest in them ? I have the feeling they will be going crowdfunding route....
You can already see the animations from previous games in their new project by rebranded company, so technically they have access to all "Illusion" assets.

you cracked the game code yet? XDDD
Don't even want to, just take a look at the posts on their Discord Server, the so-called "game" is an unoptimized mess, that makes you grind for hundreds of hours to unlock stuff in the most boring way possible. The game keeps constantly breaking, with visual glitches everywhere and takes way more Vram than many current AAA titles...
I'm not kidding about the way this game is structured, the Harem mode is the most boring shit you will ever find in a porn game. Unlock new stuff, will take hours and hours just for a new position, the game is being built upon the idea of making players pay for season passes in a similar way to most gacha or free-to-play games on the market, but without all the bells and whistles the big free to play games have.
So the entire thing feels like a broken chore... I wouldn't crack this game even if I could, or knew how to do it.
The most valuable resource people have on this planet is time, so even for a free game I wouldn't recommend people wasting their lives on a mess like this project.
In my opinion, all the money Patrons give to Helies could go to real developers that make good games, not deceiving crap like this.

Somebody above mentioned that they seem to have the assets being reused in their new game, which seems legally iffy to me, but then I don't think anybody has actually confirmed the deal with the rebranding. Could easily have been that the business was sold as part of the bankruptcy, the new company purchased the rights to the engine and the presumably partially finished work that they're now finishing off and releasing under a new name.

All of the Illusion devs rebuilding in Unity or UE5 would have been pretty interesting though. I like their games but they are a little derivative now and that may also fix a lot of their issues with actor logic being heavily single threaded.

FYI Helius did mention the game will go the f2p route if gacha is implemented successfully... which makes the whole Denuvo saga even more brain damaged.

Taking anything that he says seriously is not a great idea though. Judging by his actions is a better bet, and it's not very promising so far imo...

I'll believe it when I see it.
