Hi everyone,
I’m considering buying one of the higher Patreon tiers ($95 to $295) for Operation Lovecraft: Fallen Doll. I have a few questions and would really appreciate your insights:
  1. If I buy one of these tiers, will I get the full version of the game right away, or is it just beta access? Does the $295 tier guarantee the complete game when it officially releases?
  2. Is there an official download link for the game (beta or otherwise) after pledging, or how does it work?
  3. I’ve tried contacting the developers, but their Discord seems to require a Patreon pledge to even join. Has anyone managed to reach them without being a patron?
  4. I only want to pay for one month and then cancel my subscription. Will I still keep access to the game (or Steam key) after canceling, or do they require an ongoing subscription?
  5. Honestly, their lack of transparency and communication is making me a bit skeptical. Has anyone else felt this way, or am I overthinking it?
Any advice or experiences with these tiers would be super helpful. Thanks in advance!
  1. You get access to the beta, when (if) the game releases you will have access to the full game. Although the intention is to make it a f2p so... everyone will have that access. What you will get is access to a few of the locked characters and some in game currency.
  2. Distribution is via Steam, which then needs to be linked to your Patreon account.
  3. Helius is basically unreachable, might be able to get the attention of a mod on their discord but keep in mind they're basically unpaid workers only loosely affiliated with the project. They're also somewhat fanatical.
  4. You will lose access to the Patreon, keep access to the game.
  5. You are not overthinking it - you will regret this purchase.

Why would you ever need the $295 tier?

The game will never be "finished"

The dev is a pathological liar, he cant help himself, everything he says, you must doubt, until you see it ready.

I got the $36 tier bcs i was horny, and i dont regret it, it looks pretty, but all the promised mechanics, change whenever the dev feels like it, he removes content from the game at will to later re release as "new" content.

He has been anouncing 2 new characters that would be released "soon" for over 2 years...

You will regret this. DOnt give $295 to helius, give it to some homeless dude so he can at least get drunk and will be honest about it.

You can get the game for $36 and get 2 of the new characters. the base 3 are free anyways

do i have to buy this game to see talon mating with hippokampoi? there is only one video on rule34. damn lol
Of course you can but it's not worth it. The scene is unattractive and uninteresting. They have a few scenes that are quite realistic and good made but they are already boring because they were created with U4 i mean long time ago.

Don't do it and save your money, I followed them since it was first start as Fallen Doll. They are milking fans for so long. The progress on this game is very slow, they reworked the project so many times. The last patch from Feb 2024

i know this may have been asked a dozen times, but,

No more new version since the last "cracked" ? i know the game is somewhat kind of online games ? Just wondering if the newer version has some new gallery or new stuff since the last cracked version.
Decent amount of new stuff since the last cracked version. Here is a scroll through of the # of experiments as of version 0.8.7 (April 10 2025 Update):

I still wouldn't recommend buying it. Extraordinary grind.

Gentlemen and Ladies, would you allow me to ask you a question? Namely, I haven't followed this thread for a long time, the last time I was here the game only had animations (admittedly great, but still only animations). Has anything developed in the direction of the gameplay? Do we have any mechanics for improving the character, or shooting or anything?. Thanks in advance to a good soul who knows the subject and would like to share their knowledge with a backward person.

1. Zero.
2. Zero.
Still zero changes for this scam, absolutely no gameplay, still it's just non-interactive gatcha gallery.

thank you, I was thinking about buying a level on patreon but now I've stopped even thinking about this game

it's a shame that after so much time the game still doesn't have a skeleton, only big duds :(

lol honestly at this point, I'm surprised those who have "bought" the game haven't just been posting gallery/ sex scenes of the characters in various outfits and such as a side hustle or for the hell of it.

I subscribed to the highest Patreon tier for Operation Lovecraft: Fallen Doll at $295 and tried it for a day. Here’s my take:
Content: The game’s packed with H-scenes, outfits, and accessories. But unlocking them? Insanely expensive. Even with $295, I doubt you’d unlock half the current content.

Grind: There are 7 characters, each with a 50-level Research Pass. You’re capped at 11 levels per week due to limited EXP. Want to speed up? It’s 10 NEP per level (1 USD = 8 NEP). Tons of outfits and accessories are NEP-only.

Gameplay: No real story or engaging mechanics—just replaying H-scenes and grinding Research Points. Advanced customization (pubic hair, belly tattoos, etc.) requires grinding affection points per character. It’s painfully slow without paying for items.

Subscriber Count: Here’s the wild part—around 76,000 people are reportedly subscribed to this game’s Patreon tiers (not sure if they’re all at my tier or across all levels). That’s a huge crowd for something like this!

Is it worth it? Honestly, no. You’re better off watching 3D videos on sites like Pornhub or modding Skyrim for way more customization and fun.
Why did I buy it? I was hoping for a next-gen game with top-tier graphics, maybe even a 3D anatomy reference or model library. As a modder/creator, I see some potential in its assets, but standalone models like these aren’t much cheaper anyway. It’s got stuff worth studying, but the price is steep.
What do you all think? Anyone else in those 76,000 members feeling the same? Let’s hear your thoughts!

Sound like they tried to become the next Honey Select. For $295, I see you interested in assets, hope you can unpack and reuse the assets. Just in case they decide to "rework" the game again.

Honestly, I don’t see them pulling off a proper gameplay system with what they’ve got. Those 76,000 Patreon backers have sunk serious cash into this Harem mode. If they tack on some combat system that doesn’t vibe with it, people will tear it apart. Turning this pile of H-scenes into a legit tactical game? That’s a stretch. I’m skeptical they can add any meaningful gameplay at all. Most likely, it’ll end up as a fancy sex pose simulator—nothing more. No story, no plot development, no tactical mechanics.
I’m cool with that, as long as they don’t kill the servers or lock the assets. If I want alien strategy, X-COM’s got me covered. For story? I’ll boot up Skyrim. Expecting a small team to nail both spicy stuff and a solid story with gameplay is unrealistic. Frankly, Skyrim with a sex framework runs circles around this.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Project Helius hits a wall trying to make this a “real” game with a plot and gameplay. This project could totally fizzle out or get dropped.
