Overview:
This is a Ren'Py conversion of Perestrelo's "Family Life" QSP game, with Spectre1viper's additional material, plus a fully-integrated cheat system.

You play as a depraved married father of two beautiful daughters, trying to corrupt friends, family, and neighbors.
This is a sandbox-type game with lots of choices and paths, and a huge variety of sexual content. Most sexual acts can be avoided.

Version 1.0.0 contains the final release of the game, although small bug fix patches may still be posted. If you've already played v0.1.4 there is no need to play this version as well, because there is no new content.

Thanks! I'm just waiting for somebody else to try playing it, because I've already spent hundreds of hours playing the game over the last two months and I'm getting a little tired of it now.

The game is already massive, so I doubt I'll add any more content. That, and I'm a software developer, not a story-teller, so any content I add will be really shitty. However, with the way I've implemented the event system it's really easy to add new events and story lines, and I'd be happy to work with anyone who wants to add more content.

Sorry, I can't set up a torrent. If this game is approved by the administrators, maybe one of them will be able to. I'll try to set up some mirrors, but my upload speed is very slow and it'll take me a week to upload it to the mirrors. And, I don't want to do than until enough people have played it so I won't have to re-upload them to all the mirrors every time I find a new bug. Maybe in a week or two.

In the meantime, you can play for several hours with just event pack 0. If you start downloading event pack 1 now, by the time you play enough of the game to reach the content for that event pack, it should have finished downloading by them. Same for event packs 2 and 3. Or, you may decide the game isn't for you after playing through event pack 0 and then you won't even need to download the rest!

Thanks for reporting the bug, and I'm looking into it. In the meantime, can you please confirm that you've downloaded Event Pack 1, and put the file (event1.rpa) in the "game" folder (the same folder as all the .rpy files)?

After looking into things, I think you need to download Event Pack 1. If you look on the thread board in the game you should see that a lot of the 'Laura' events are in blue, meaning they aren't available until you download the next event pack.

There is a bug in the game that should have prevented that event from triggering. And, by looking at the traceback you posted, I noticed a different bug that occurs if you press the "skip time" button while in an event. I've now fixed both these bugs (thank you so much for bringing them to my attention) in the attached patch zip file. Just download this file, put it in you main 'FamilyLife' folder (the same folder that contains FamilyLife.exe, above the 'game' folder), and extract the files in this zip file. Then you should (hopefully) be able to load from your latest save and continue playing.

don't worry man, Family Life has been my jam since 2016. I was really bummed out when they discontinued the development and I suspect I haven't figured out all the endings. Anyway, do you need help set up the torrent because torrent is the easiest way to share such a magnificent game.

I can't imagine how anyone could have found all the endings in the original game! There's just so much content that I had no idea about until I started the conversion and discovered just how much I'd missed. And that's not even counting all the extra material by spectre1viper. Very glad I did the conversion, because now I've finally been able to finish the game without having to read that messed-up QSP code to figure out what wrong answer I gave hours ago that blocked me out of seeing more content.

Since you've already played the original game I'd really appreciate your feedback on the remake (just with Event Pack 0, since that should give you a good enough idea of how the overly-complicated UI works). I'll try to set up a torrent (and will ask you if you need help), but I won't have time for a few days. I'll keep you posted when it's available.

just have stuff like that in your inventory. Honestly best practice after you reach that point to maintain all items in inv in case a scene needs it to proc.

Regarding the Gina issue, I remember struggling with what was the best way to do the highlighting in that scene. It's an odd event in that it's one that you can replay many times, and even play it before you make sufficient progress in the thread. I'll try to fix the highlighting in the next release. Anyway, to complete the event you'll need Gina's relationship to be greater than 600 and you'll need to pick either of the last two choices. If you've already done this, please send me your save file so I can figure out what's going wrong.

The last event in Laura's pool photo thread comes much, much later than the other three. You'll have to spend time with Laura at the pool on Fridays at 5pm for about 4 or 5 weeks straight to complete a different minor thread (one I didn't include on the thread board because it's so uninteresting).

Most of it. I didn't include a lot of the voyeurism content which you get later in the game when spying with the office cams. And there may be a couple of others I forgot to add to the board.

currently creating Mirrors (I fucked up and other things making slow process) so I can move this to Games and not get yelled at for it not having mirrors. I get the updates are meant to come fast, you can add a little Update area underneath the Base game and Event files for those that you should be able to alter since it's your OP and if not, @ me and I'll pass it along to someone who can resolve that issue for you.

I also Merged the Base game with Event Pack 0 because if it's needed to play the base game, they do need to be merged. I probably will create a complete pack option and provide a Torrent for it for those that want it that way.

Seeing as this is a conversion of an abandoned game, does it have an ending? Or multiple endings? Most abandoned games leave you hanging with unfinished stories and quests.
