Does anyone know how modding in this Unreal engine works?
I saw someone posting a mod to change the shading but is it possible to swap models? I have zero knowledge of modding, but if it's possible through game files to use the same rig with a different model or just replacing/changing the current models (Alyx/Quiet).

God, I would learn how to code just to mod Natalia Dyer in it.

A model swap should be fairly easy. Extract the Alyx skeleton and set up your mesh in Blender or something like that. Import that into your own version of Unreal Engine. Then pack the files and put it in the ~mods folder. I'd wait until the new version comes out because I think the skeleton is being updated.

Basically that's it, just keep in mind if you want the good jiggle physics and whatnot, you may have to take some time with your model. but hey, plenty of time to workon that while we wait right?

I already know someone is probably going to put Lord Arddvarks model of Samus out there and probably 2B in less than a week after the new version XD

I wouldn't call it abandoned yet. The latest post on Patreon that for sure was related to this game was January 10th. On February 24th there was a post titled "Fap-life v1 models" so the dev has not forgotten about it if you ask me. We'll just have to be patient a little longer. Many devs don't seem to want to release frequent but small updates for some reason.

You're participating in a thread about the game, so I'd say it's in your interest to know whether the game is still being worked on. But what even is the point of such a meaningless comment?

Not abandoned, just not being done at everyone's expected pace. The dev is still working on it. There was a lot that was rewired and recoded since the last iteration, so that's why it's taken so long.

Especially when you add in the amount of detail the dev's put into the model itself, rigging them properly so they have realistic human animations and reactions.

Outside of programming and the animating, you really need to have a great sense of human anatomy and locomotion/articulation of the body to get it right.

Give it time and it will come (or in the case of most people here... cum)... seriously just wait a bit, faplife did pause the payouts before when they were working hard on the project, shows they do care and won't just sap your money if you're a donator.

Even though we don't have a build, looks like the Likkezg was busy and added shit loads of content, animations, mechanics etc.

When this game gets a new build, it will be fucking big. It's getting developed like a proper game instead of what we know as "money milking" project. It takes time but when the shit drops it's a big chunk of update and it's better than having small rushed updates.

From what i've seen, the game is even gonna an undressing system with animations.

Also, we might expect to see that "big update" sooner than later. 3 months ago Likkezg said that we might get a build but gave no promises so it's safe to assume Likkezg really wants to put something on the table and we are getting close to that.

Let's hope it doesn't take long and all the freaks here can enjoy some Half Life on PC.


PS: It would be so fucking on time if Likkezg released that new build at the same time with Half Life: Alyx.

I don't have proof of the contrary, but what makes you think that it'll be big. Right now I have seen nothing that hints at the next update being any more substantial of a game than what we've already seen before. I'm still expecting just an area to walk around in and watch the animations.

Personally I hope that. That game wildlife is trying so hard to be a "game" that more than half of the game is useless. I don't want a hunger system, fight wolfs, explore a huge empty desert. I only want the porn stuff, and Faplife is going a great direction, the main character already use lewd outfits because of the constant raping, barnacles wants to eat your ass instead, even the health chargers are glory holes.

Most of what we have seen is new scenes, new enemies (combine, tentacle monster, combine interrogation machine) , that clothing system, new outfits, new toys, futa version, revamped character models and animations the actual stuff a game called FAPlife must-have. Also some stuff he/she promised right after the last update (at least 2 itens from this list I know it's done)
What I plan to do next month:

- sounds for most of the anims
- Black Mesa East map as a debug map instead of the boring cubes
- maybe a New gun
- Houndeye enemy
- finish adding Vortigaunts as an enemy

It won't be "big" in the "more game than tech demo" sense. Most of what Likkezg is working on is fundamental elements such as new character details, better physics, reworked animations to account for said changes, etc. Basically the building blocks if you will.

Bottom line is that if you are waiting for that level of development, you'll be waiting a long time, sorry to say. Actual gameplay work is a long way off.

1 year of work and checking out the update posts is enough for me to think that it will be big. I also expect an area to walk around and watch the animations but it won't be a weak update like just new 1-2 animations or some bug fixes.

I'm just saying it will be a solid update. Obviously I don't expect this game to be a fully fledged half life experience with NSFW animations.

Now this code can be applied to any piece of cloth so it can be taken off in a realistic way.
