To start from the beggining, do I only need to download EP4 or all of EP1-4?

Marcus is one of the key characters of the game and if you want to understand the essence of what's going on (and moreover to get on his path), it's better to play from the 1st ep (if you want to speed up the game, you can use cheats - see FAQ for details), and then, in the 2nd episode your Monica will meet him anyway and later you can decide whether you want to continue to deal with him or not. His route is strictly optional and does not affect the main plot of the game. (Office+)

If you want to fully immerse yourself in the story and understand what happened, it's best to start playing from the first ep. If you start playing from ep2, you'll need to answer the game's questions about how your Monica behaved earlier.

p.s. Also keep in mind that answering the game's questions (about Monica's behavior) may deprive you of some hot content in the future. (If you answer some questions in a certain way). So it's best to start with ep1 (version 1.0, not .1.1, which is not compatible with Ep2 with Bardie) and then continue playing ep2 using the save file from ep1. For more information, see the FAQ.
