I don't think Vic was ever meant too be likable. We are supposed to be annoyed and frustrated by what she gets away with. And I think when all is said and done Vic has been a great character for the game.

You're right about that. Viс can't help but be annoying, that's how the DM created her. I think if you ask any player who hates Viсtoria if he would like to have some unpleasant mean man collecting his "harem of girlfriends" in the game instead of her, such a player will 100% choose the lesser of two evils, i.e. Vika. Lesbo scenes with or without domination are usually not repulsive to the audience (at least to the male players, let the women tell us what they think), so it was a win-win.

The other thing is what do we do with her impunity and the fact that she always gets away with all her meanness. The way I see it, it would be fair if the DM at the very end of the game would give the players a chance to get even with Vika for real. So for me personally, the ideal option would be to enjoy future lezdom scenes with Vika and Monica+, and at the very end of the game decide if I want to punish Vika or not.

p.s. By punishment I mean something serious, with far-reaching consequences (and the "Revenge path" with Marcus' promise to help Monica should have nothing to do with it. The possibility of punishment should be woven into the main plot of FB).

Yeah maybe. You are much more into the BDSM side than I am and lezdom does as much for me as a lick fest. I do believe Victoria will get what is coming in a couple of endings.

I like Victoria as a character and how she has manipulated Monica throughout the game. It's a better game because she is there. Whether I would prefer her role to be a male is interesting. Just on my personal kinks and tastes the answer is yes. I see Phillip's role in the game being the closest role by a male to hers. If Phillip had his path expanded like Vic's has been I would have less issues. These are just my own biases though as I probably back in the day wore out a fast forward button or two on my DVD player remote skipping any form of lesbian scene.

I mean, it was all right during the earlier episodes, maybe even necessary, but something has to change at least in the endings, doesn't it? Like Monica accepting her new reality. For example, Monica actually becoming a hooker in the falling path not only de facto, but also in her mind.

That is actually my main gripe about the Falling path. I was hoping that Monica was going to change into that ultimate hooker gradually. Both visually, and mentally.

I'm not sure by what you mean as the ultimate hooker? I was happy enough with the falling path ending. I hope there will be more bad ends for Monica coming.

In Monica's case it is being put in situations where she will need to fuck or suck her way out of her problems or towards her goal. James Bond will need to solve some national or world crisis by using a combination of his wits, gadgets or sex appeal against the films antagonist. Neither characters go on any sort of character arc and that's fine as long as they give the audience what they are looking for.

As you know, Monica has already been invited to some island where, knowing DM, she'll probably get fucked again and forced to do porn for pennies or free. And that will be the end of it.

I agree there is no more than two porn shoot scenes left. My point was that I see no more than 1 or two girl party scenes either, and if he stretches that out to 3 or 4 and short changes the porn shoot path that will fucking annoy me.

For example, there is that one quite good game called A Good Girl Goes Bad by Eva Kiss. The MC starts as a naive girl and depending on the player's choices she ends in different situation. And during the game those situations and experiences shape the MC. And depending on those choices by the end of the game, she ends up quite a different person - in one branch she can become a loving wife, in another she ends as gang member or a porn actress. And in those ending she is, to a certain extent, a different person.

And now compare that to Monica. No matter what happens to her, in every ending so far she ends up exactly the same person as she was the moment the game starts. As I already wrote, even when Monica ends up standing naked on the knees in the slums all covered in tattoos and drinking piss, she is still thinking that it is only temporary, she is the same most powerful woman in the city, she is getting all that back, etc. In my opinion, it is not good storytelling.

Even if you talk about James Bond movies, in the best one in almost very rating - Casino Royale - he actually changes during that movie. There is obvious character development by the end of the movie.

I think the most probable ending for the Victoria's branch is the one where all her "girlfriends" end up her personal toys/slaves, like Melanie is about to become, having those tattoos on them and sucking her toes day and night and all that, while she is a top model on the cover of Fashion magazine (maybe married to Dick).

I don't see any reason why Victoria cannot marry Dick and ask him to protect Monica the same way - "Dick, daring, my best friend have such terrible problems with those bad guys. Help her, and I will do everything for you." And at the same time Victoria will offer Monica a deal - Monica becomes her personal slave but avoids the fate of going to the Farm and being fucked by animals. Sounds no less realistic than the protection by Mommy.

Calling it character growth or development doesn't change anything. We both understand what we are talking about. In most stories I would agree that this an important factor. Not always though for the reasons I posted.

Casino Royale is a prequel or more accurately a reboot of the 20 films that came before it. To compare that film with Fashion Business we would need a game after fashion Business is complete set 12 years before this game that showed how Monica became who she is. Why or how she married her husband. That game like Casino Royale would have this character development you are wanting or claiming is missing. Daniel Craig in Casino Royale isn't playing the veteran James Bond that the others from Sean Connery and on played. It is the story of how he becomes the Bond we have watched over the previous 40 + years at the time.

All I'm saying is character development is not always necessary for a story too be well liked. As is the case with this game.

Of course I don't know what is planned and what unexpected plot twists are prepared, but considering how that branch with Victoria has been unfolding, I think the ending I suggested is the most reasonable one That is not to say that other endings shouldn't be there in that branch.

Well, it is the foundation of most good novels and movies. You take almost every one of them and the MC changes during the story. In a few cases, such as a movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off the main character stays the same but people around him or her change. Here it is written quite well -

Isolate a person for a long time or give them a series of traumatic events and they can go mad.

From what I've read, Monica never tries to commit suicide or run away from the city, and I don't think she "accepts" her fate, as proud and confident as she is.
Maybe she just goes crazy .
