I know, I am repeating the same phrases again and again. I ragequitted this game so often, returning for the great content, howling abuse to it for the annoying gameplay.

Once again - I hate gamesyou can't play without a walkthrough.

I hate games which are pain in the ass even playing them with a walkthrough.

Despite the great content of this game it still remains the most sadistic and painful game I ever encountered. I always try to stay away from it, then two or three updates come out, people praise it - totally okay for the great content - but it seems everybody is okay with the repetitious grindy timeconsuming stuff and the loss of where to go and what to do next. Apart from that the guidance is really poor. E.g. the escort job - of course you can find out how to do it at te first try, but... I would say it is not too obvious.

So I am trying to follow all those los ends, eventually succeeding, eventually failing. Hours go by, many hours. I never have any clue what to do next, and no clue at all how the diffrent sorylines intertwine. I LOVE the story and the art, I HATE the game.

I started it but was disjointed.

TBH, I almost never use the walkthrough, so claims that it is necessary are overblown. I used it once when I didn't understand the sequence in the clothing store, and once when I didn't understand that i had to talk to Bardie to advance a particular quest. Other than that, I just played the game and if I didn't min-max some element of it, didn't sweat it. I think I've seen all content (other than the Julia stuff that I am not at all interested in). Just go with the flow, and don't worry about the walk through and robotically following it.

if anyone wants it i could throw together a 1080p V15 Hotfix zip, although im not sure where i would put it since its 4GB+ but i try to show some respect and keep releases till the next version is out for patreon content. i also wont give out codes since the dev has said they cost alot of money.

I totally understand trying to be respectful to the creator not wanting to give codes out since the creator asked for it not to be shared.

Saying that, I 100% do not believe it costs the creator a "alot of money", but in the end if the creator asked not to share then it's cool to respect that wish.

I'm confused, DecentMonkey doesn't pay for nopy, the consumers do...

The idea is that if people can get the premium product for free they will not donate money what they can get for free. That is a false narrative though since I have 3 different games I donate money monthly to that I could get for free. Patreon is a way to support artists, not buy products.

Once again I am cool with not sharing the code since DecentMonkey requested it not to be.

i was just using that as an example since people here know that site. i dont know his platform but even the cheapest options are still pretty expensive when scaled up.

if it is a sandbox - is not it safe to say that you will have to ...unless there are some mod (like maim lain's ones) or solid inbuild hint system. (MotH)
(i cannot recall sb-games where it would be intuitively clear what to do most of the time, might be SummerTime Saga, though i had to use walkthroughs for some situations. and just feel a need to keep a track on main stories)

I have the same feelings, I bought episode 1 on Steam and LOVED the game, I thought it was very original and I was very intrigued on how the story would unfold. I was dying of anxiety to play episode 2 soon, so I came to F95 to accompany episode 2 and oh boy... I think it's 5x longer than the first episode and the grind is to discourage anyone, the proposal of ep 1 was a VN with elements of Sandbox and then in ep 2 it becomes a Sandbox with elements of VN...
I can only play and do all the quests with the use of a walkthrough and I am only playing this to see how the story will end because it is good, what spoils is the gameplay full of grind. You can already predict that episode 2 will have a very negative reaction on Steam because of that, "Mostly Negative" is my bet, i will buy it to support the dev but i wish it was like episode 1.
