I think I understood what the trouble is.

In all previous versions of FB there is such a path to such a folder.

lib \ windows-i686 \ Lib

And at 2.18. for some reason this is not. The folder windows-i686 has much fewer files and there is no folder Lib, which contains the same renpai file.

But what am I to do with this?

For those one having problems with saves or bugs.
the Part2 18 was made to work with the new renpy 7.4.0 SDK Launcher (the version 17 was made with SDK version 3.3.5) so if you load a saves from version 17 the game crash. If you use this launcher 7.4.0 all bugs related to saves should be disappear... I have seen a lot of PC users complain in other forum... about this behaviour.
I'm on Mac and the V18 for PC does not work with the 3.3.5 Launcher...

I like rpg's, and in role-playing games usually you have to repeat a movement to reach a goal. It may take a long time, but if it is so easy, it is not much fun. I also like to have autoplay where I don't have to do anything other than click, but I also like the game as it is. You talk as if you hate the game, but I think you like the game. If I hate a game, I will pass it. If you really hate it, you can pass. I can't understand the insistence of haters

I love the story so I will not pass
I hate the grind of the game so I will continue to complain about this specific point!

I'm not talking about a kinetic novel with auto play
I'm talking about a VN with choices ... so you can follow various paths by you choices... and you will get differnt endings (depend on the choices.
Like is on Being A DIK and/or in the best Ren'Py games

the repetitive scene inside the boxed-plot are very boring... because you have to back at the same point for days and maybe weeks... you have t go to Sleep/Eat and if you do not change clothes you will be punished (masochist players) if you go out the home with Maid clothes you loos the progress with Betty ...this is totally useless and do not have any effect in the story line
the only effect is: WASTE TIME for nothing

Hope this can help you to understand why I will continue to request for a deep mod of this game!

and I think there are a lot of players that don't want to play this game just because the mechanics
that 's why my criticism is constructive... because I understood that I love Monica story also with the mess of the useless game mechanics....
and there would be much more supporters in the DecentMonkey patreon page if he will start to make an official MOD by itself or in collaboration with a modder

Win32 game crashes upon start up. Don't even get a first screen just a log report which I attach if the dev wants to have a look. Nvr had a problem with previous versions View attachment 997336 View attachment 997336

if you can use SDK 7.4.0 in your system all problem should be gone

I hope one day this game will get a hero modder that transforms it into a visual novel without all of the sandbox elements.

this will be great... and size of the game will also be reduced a lot (there are at least 3.5/4.5 GB only for the sandbox structure)

I'm sorry, but I didn't quite understand what exactly do you suggest to do to fix the problem? Install some program or something else? I tried to play version 2.18. from the very beginning, without saving from version 2.17., but it did not help. Saves are not loaded anyway, when you try to load them, a crash occurs.

I have no problem with your request for the mod, but the fact that the structure of the game changes completely may upset many people. The version 18 is 2.2 GB.... the story related pictures are very short about 900mb in the 17+18 version.... the rest is sandbox mechanics.
...there is no more reason to hide short story line updates with that big mess because the game is a monster game!!!
even made as VN would be more than 5/6 GB...

you have to create a folder and name as you want put the game folder inside and than hit on LAUNCH PROJECT see the pictures there is also my actual folder with all PC games I have played down here:

sorry but i don't agree with you and i don't want a mod. Because when you progress in the game, you do not need to repeat a lot of things and you only play new events. If these sandbox are not there, the person who is just starting the game will go with Monica, who will change from boss to whore very quickly and that's not make any sense. If in the future the game developer provides an update code like before, there will be no need to download this high volume. I also hope that the download link for version 16 720p will be included so that those who start from zero do not have to download 10 gb.
