Perhaps. But unlike a lot of other cases that you find, this dev has already completed multiple games before this. I'm not saying that prevents abandonment per se, but it usually makes abandonment less likely. The dev is taking a break april to may would not surprise me if it gets abandoned like so many promising games
The file is actually scene5b.rpyYou can solve this by opening "script5b.rpy" with Notepad and in line 225 change 'dissove' to 'dissolve'.
Same for this, should be scene5b.rpySorry it has taken awhile to respond, been away for Xmas.
As for the 'missing' images it is down to spelling error. In script5b.rpy look for the scenes 'Briefing' and change to 'briefing'.
You can do this amendment for any other missing images.
Yes, you right. Been used to Ren'Py games using 'script' for the story.Same for this, should be scene5b.rpy
He is. He just posted the new game thread for X-Trek III a couple of weeks ago and commented on it since then as well. That's shown to be Completed, so it might just be that this was paused while he worked on and finished that other game. I know he's talked for awhile in the past 6 months or so that he planned to make / finish X-Trek III, so I'm personally neither surprised nor worried about the delay on this game.Is XLB still active? I've just checked his Subscribestar page and it still is in Vacation Mode, which should have ended on 18 June.

I know this is an older post, but I just wanted to say I completely agree with this. There is no reason to be nasty, and even when I give criticism, I try to be as decent as possible, and point out as many positives as I can. Devs can't grow unless they know what they are doing right and what they are doing wrong.. simply posting "I hate this game, go die" doesn't help anyone and is unnecessarily rude and confrontational. If you want a good gaming experience, then give honest feedback about what you are seeing and experiencing.Constructive criticism is perfectly fine of course, but at times it seems as though some folks just aren't happy unless they're complaining in the rudest, most obnoxious, self-entitled ways possible! As usual it seems that it's the very vocal and rude minority that ruins things for the silent majority! It's unfortunate that you've decided to step away from F95, but it's your game and therefore it's your decision to make.
I'm really looking forward to the day when a dev just turns around and tells these nasty, self-entitled jerks "If you don't like it then fuck off and play something else!"
Every developer, artist etc, wants constructive criticism. It's the "constructive" part that usually fail around hereI know this is an older post, but I just wanted to say I completely agree with this. This is a pirate site, so interactions with the devs is relatively rare, and is a major plus (though F95 is awesome and I wish more devs were on here). So being able to have that honest interaction with a dev should be a bonus to get your voice heard, and maybe make a difference here or there with how a game progresses.
