Last I played there is a lot of glitches that needs to be worked out.
I got it on steam and I have found problems with picking up quests and finishing them.

I went through one play through in stage 2 I think? Where in my last play on a quest I had no issues.
This play through only difference is the thieves guild I'm in, some quest seem to be funky.
Last time I could get the bartender laid as per his wish/quest.
(trying to be vague to avoid spoilers) someone who needs to be in the bar is not.
No matter what time of day they aren't in anywhere to be found, so I cant move on in that quest.

You should always be able to find party members some where in town, in the stage I'm at can only find 1 or 2.
Granted I haven't play it in 2 weeks but it will be worth the wait.
Just hold tight because most of it looks to be finished.

That's just one of a few.
Its best to wait it out, sorry to say

This community is great that way.

I've opened up the game folders but I don't see any files named "patch" or anything eluding to NSFW.
I hear you on the being impatient lol I would hazard a guess that I'm worse with being impatient, when you buy a game knowing its buggy and unfinished.

Then again I did pre-order cyberpunk 2077 , maybe I just like punishment.

That's odd.
Mine always starts in a windowed state.
When you run your mouse all the way to the top, does it show the border? If it does then, just use that trick.
If that doesn't work, try looking on steam community page.
That might be listed there.

Most if not all their games are done in a smaller window.
I'm not sure why it'd start up that way for you

Is there currently a way to avoid the thieves guild? I did pretty much all other quests I could find and explored everywhere else fully, but the only things left were to break into the engineer's house or wait for the elf, but after a very large amount of days, she didn't appear again. Not sure if I just missed something, or that option in the journal that says to find another way isn't implemented yet.

Edit: When I did the thieves guild stuff and then checked the hang out option at the inn, somebody named Danthienne was there and talked about leaving, and some quest failed that showed the merchant's guild as an alternative to the thieves', though I never actually met Danthienne or started the quest before. Not sure if I just somehow missed them, or it's not in the game yet.

Edit2: Looked at posts on the steam page, and apparently there's supposed to be some event where you meet Danthienne shortly after breaking into the thieves guild, but it's bugged to sometimes not happen. May have to load earlier saves and lose hours of progress to be able to get that route, sadly.

Edit3: After going back and trying it for like 3 different saves, I think the problem may have been that I got the cutscene for the masseuse at the same time as hers should have been there, so Danthienne never showed up.

took me a little to notice this part! lol

im on the first town, and this game is alot bigger than I expected its been really fun

gameplay and story are good but it feels like erotic scenes was put to 3rd place in this game i was looking for tentacle in the lake after defeating him and couldnt find him yet, maybe he shows up on different time of a day but yeah i can just throw offerings (was hoping for some tentacle action there and got dissapointed)
so here is what i think as much as i like choices that impact routes u can take to get to the same goal maybe it would be better to make game linear and make it longer? the way game is now DEVs want me to replay it from start and go try merchant route or thieves route or (independent f there is one) any other routes
i liked mechanics of going right and encounter things, i think lock piking level hasnt been implemented yet tho cus im always on lv1
still i enjoyed it and not for faps and not many games interest me beyond faps so i look forward to the story and gameplay

well game is in development so there might be stuff i missed i dont even know about
my first experience with merchant guild blond hair woman was on the streets of town in the morning she was asking me for directions to the inn and straight up proposed me joining them, i think it was after i did one or two missions for thieves guild already, i have no idea what triggered it i hope there is some walkthru written somewhere it would be very helpfull

so i reloaded the save and i didnt meet merchant girl until in the tawern and it was too late to to get into merchants guild too, i see ur frustration now, maybe we should avoid massage place at all to make her find MC in the town? i serously dont know what triggers the meeting

i went with Rosabella for piece of artifact to the lake, and tentacle was coming for her tits, i thought there has to be scene involved, so i reloaded old one and went to the lake then saved game,tried loosing in every 3 encounters and tried to win, tried to use different options and it was so fucking tiring im trying to find something that isnt even there to begin with or there is something but my approach is wrong and i dont have the means to know the right one thru the game itself, there is lake tentacle monster that likes tits and there is no single scene yet with it involved, kind of bad if im being honest, we can only throw panties and bras offerings and it will give back potions, disappointing at least

I may have worded that badly, if that's what you read into it.
I was only stating when I bought it.
Honestly I haven't played it in a while.
Should be noted that was hinted at when I said my memory wasn't so good.

I ended up having a conversation with the creator about the game breaking glitch I had.
Seems I was the only one who ran into it (an event wouldn't spark letting me move on)
I ended up having to send them my saved file for them to look at and they sent it back.

I started playing it once I got the file back but honestly I had played it so many times,
It was time for a break, I have yet to go back to it right now and I've got a few games on the go.
Kinda nice to have a break from it.

As for if its finished or not I don't know.
That's why I said I bought it pre-launch.

I am not surprised if its still being worked on.
I always kept running into minor glitches.
