Impressive how this game gets less content with every update.

They spend month for a fun creation process and origin story, just to can all of that to get where they should have been month (years ago).

With the money they get, there is NO excuse for that.

But probably they had to take a trip to Bangkok for 1-2 month to see how it is there and how to implement that into the game. Field study ans stuff.... but then they should have less placeholder images.

I really liked the game and premise. And even the version up to 1.6 was fun and ready to dive into the Bangkok stuff.

It is impressive that we are now more or less where the 1.6 version was, just with LESS content.

Actually, I was just thinking about that. The game would literally be better if he stuck this Bangkok update at the end of the old 1.6 content (not even mentioning that I prefer the old style). This means since the system overhaul Crush has done NOTHING but code his game's system. (Until now where he wrote the SCENARIO for Bangkok - Which btw confirms my previous statement months -years ?- ago that I thought he didn't know where he was going to go once Bangkok started which is why he was delaying so much)

TLDR (and people who like numbers) : Since the Great Game Reset (In June 2020 Crush has fully stopped working on the 'old' version) Crush has spent a FULL YEAR getting back to where he was (with less content and an ugly avatar) and less than 10 weeks of the last 15 months on writing new content.

Edit : Reading back on some comments, SuicideByTaco's comment on the state of the game is basically the same as hornguy6 made on the post where Crush announced the reset of the game. A year and a half ago...

I do not make games for that reason. Or partly that reason. I know I lose interest in any project after a while. I couldn't guarantee the commitment required.

I know porn game and all and no one's really going to give a shit but damn if this isn't a case of.. if you've never been to a place and all you know about it is what you leaned on Google.. don't write about it. Stick with what you know. It will usually be better. I live in Bangkok and so much of this is just laughably bad. Locals don't talk like this. They don't forget letters in one sentence and then just remember to use them in the next. The Thai translations are wrong, locations have the correct names but not relation to each other, etc. The only thing I was moderately impressed by was Baan Krung Thep.. which just means Bangkok house lol. Again.. it's just my bugbear and probably just because I live here.. if I didn't I probably wouldn't care.

Oh.. and I'm not saying they don't exist.. but I have never.. ever.. seen or even heard of a Western (farang) sex worker, bar hostess, door hostess, etc in any of the limited number of red light areas in Bangkok. That shit would damn near be on the news here.

His characterisation (if you can even call it that) is laughable in general, it's not just Bangkok. The interactions with Max are just as bad, with him throwing Swedish words here and there before moving to perfect English and then doing it again.

It's like he thought "How do I communicate that this person is from X country? Oh, I know, I'll make them talk in a ridiculous manner nobody does! That should get the point across"

I'm so sad. The beginning I remember playing (building your character) was so fun to me, and even though it involved a narrative I worried I would not like (if the female agent ended up being on a corruption only narrative with no real agency) I was still really pumped to see where it went because I love the idea of a sexy agent/spy style story in general. But it seems like a really tough lift at this point. I can't even ascribe the intent/thoughts behind someone else so easily, but I just hope it all works out for everyone. (former Patron myself)

I can see why it's off putting when you actually live there.

Personally I just assume that all these games actually take place in strange alternative realities where bizarro porn logic applies. That's just as true when they're presented as grounded in the real world as when they have an explicitly fantastical setting. There are only a handful I've played where people act and react like normal human beings, let alone live somewhere I recognise here on planet earth.

you might be right (though i don't believe onlyfans subs are into this kind of thrill), but there is almost no value in this (as a way how this is done now), just pinnacle of milking business in avn industry, ultimate ponzie scheme.
what we expected here is intelligent, exciting text based adult novel with charachter building and (in some degree) choice-making. I'm stressing text based because we were interested in story, not 3d renders having sex. and what we got is years of playing with avatars while story stays. even bangkok progress could not undone what he did (and i'm affraid this will be all about bkk for long time since he'll return to old habits of recycling old content). whoever choose to play this kind of game, it is story that drag him/her in, not constant play with avatars.
if crush doesn't know how to move on, with money he milked so far he could hired ea, activision or any major gaming companny to fix his mistakes

One of the things I learned from following this since it started is if you're going to support a project it's best to look at people that have actually completed creative projects in the past.

Crush was a manager in some office with a fun idea. He'd never made a game before or published anything. I'm sure we've all worked with people like that who have a great idea but not the learned tools and skills to follow through with it. Sometimes they learn them and hey years later you see their thing.

Crush put out a prologue and suddenly people were throwing money at him for a thing he had zero track record for. He's been supported to learn how to make a game a thing he may or may not be capable of doing.

In retrospect it's a very silly situation.

PS: oh and btw I have to correct you: the prologue isn't finished at all (and believe it or not, compared to what the prologue was x years ago when he decided to remake everything, it actually has less content and a cut down character creation).
