He didn't change the UI. He remade the whole game from scratch (and made the same mistakes all over again
), so the old stuff is obsolete. The old 1.6.3 is basically a different game.

Supporting the new avatar feature is definitely not going to be a timesink in the future. Nope. Never. It will all go flawlessly and will never slow down production on any future scenes. It's never happened before after all, so why would it happen now?
Prepare to to be amazed.
For 3 months of his income you could commission decent quality light novel and he have problem with writing few a4 pages in 3 years.
If they're so easy to make then why did he mention the complicated avatar as one of the things that made development slow, a year ago during the reboot?
(I'm not actually arguing against you, I agree that when it's handled properly, it's not an issue. But he has always had trouble with that)
At the very least it sounds like Victoria knows what they're doing in making the avatars. In no world should a few shades of lipstick require 120 different assets. Modularity is key, and it sounds like they've no separated the lips into their own layer so you don't need to color the lips on every single different face.
32 hooker quests? At the glacial pace Crush *still* writes scenes (wasn't the latest redo everything supposed to let him finally pick up the pace?), that should be enough to keep milking the project for another half decade. No wonder he's excited!
Because it's a good excuse to stretch the release timelines.

I already finded a writer and had been doing some testing with the art and the aspect of the game. I'll let you know if we need another writer, in case you want to help.

Well i just finished all 3 verson of the game and i most say the 1.6 was the best one, the creator should have just been focusing on that and build on that instead of that new one they making, its tame and bare
