I remember being frustrated with the slow progress 4 years ago... saw it pop up on the latest updates page today and decided to try it out again, even though I knew from checking the messages left on here every now and then that it's not going well, but I still hoped...
I won't be able to say anything that hasn't been said already, but damn if this doesn't suck. It sucks more than the MC (which doesn't say much, anymore).
The sad part is that I really liked the game before and I also like the game now, but knowing that it has been in development for like 5 years or more already and the new version doesn't even have the same amount of content that the old one had YEARS ago... fuck what the hell can I even say?
I wish someone would do a fan game of this just like people did with Girl Life. Can't help but hope this time will be different, because that's just how hot I find the premise of this game, but I think there's higher chances of the events being portrayed here actually happening in real life.

If someone did, and started pulling users away, I bet development on this would pick up significantly. Can't milk people if the competition is blowing right passed you.
Is that really all? 4 updates? Nails, it's unclear why it is necessary, but obviously without this function, the further development of any game is not possible. Since when are fixes released not immediately, but after a few months and are considered part of a big update? The thoughts of the character, well, yes, this is important, but this addition of a couple of lines to the finished text is literally a couple of hours of work. Made by a non-developer. Wait what? So he didn't even make that update?
Oh yes, there is still a moment with the fact that the author edit text based on what the players indicated. I wonder if he fixed the lack of content? I think it was mentioned sometimes. Well, you know the biggest mistake of this game after 5 years of development. No?
I really hope it's not only 4, otherwise one user here will lose faith in the author.

There is a scene where she makes a movie I guess, but that is in the patreon only release, not this one.

Cosmetic items? What, so we can role play? I thought this was a visual novel and not an RPG? I guess the RPG elements exist to explain why the story isn't progressing.
Haven't played in a while, downloaded the 1.15.1 version. Did they remove the beginning portion where you grow up, or will it be added back in?

I just wanna reiterate my want for a "nobody's your friend" mystery story. "MI6 is hypnotising you to be their personal office slut" is a much more interesting setup than "Some Thai gangster is demanding sex for a job."
Could you tell us the name of the Girl Life fan game you refer to? Loved that game and I've been searching for more games similar to it
He's talking about how GL was essentially ELO abandoned by the original developers and then made into a group project. Different contributors created vignettes and integrated it into the game over the years, which kept (keeps?) the project alive and actively progressing. It's kind of more of a simulation than a directed story.
I expect I'd retire long before this completes, but the underlying system and even most of the artwork done for FA has been well done. Every update seemed to be a bit of circling around character creation, and then wanting to make a lot of branches from that, instead of pushing through with a central narrative. The roleplaying system from 1.14 seemed really well done. It was simply about making all the mission vignettes and then agency connective tissue. I kind of get it, Twine seems like it's a bit too confining for the story it wants to convey.
I'd say the story should be aiming for 4 basic endings on two axis; pure vs slut and win vs lose. Two major antagonists that recur through missions. A psychologist that largely drives the pure vs slut in post mission analysis, and the residuals of how the agent's colleagues see her. Then the last being some Dr. Evil character that throws tough tests at the character.

This is a pretty cool system for a game. The nice interactive "paper doll" graphics, dice rolls to determine skills and event outcomes, good display of emotions for the fem protag etc. Really splendid platform for making an interesting interactive erotic game. However the pace of updates and amount of content is pretty abysmal. The fact I found more interesting stuff in the older "school" version than here, is pretty telling.
Honestly I really hope someone could convert this into a fan-made version. The potential is off the charts, but there's apparently a strict limit to the amount and kind of content by the original creator. For example; nothing happens to her despite getting blitzed and letting men grope her at the bar when arriving, ditto for the hard cock cafe, airport strip search is rendered non-erotic since it's performed by ladies, the school version skips to her being 18 etc. Also I think there's only 2 forced scenes in all of the versions of this game - which I personally find could be vastly improved upon.
All in all, both the amounts of content and the variety of sexual kinks available could be vastly increased in an open source version. If someone could "crack the code" and setup a community led effort for female agent such as GL - that person would be my hero!

iirc I think this was originally supposed to be a sandbox game, but it seems to be increasingly moving towards a linear storyline.
