It's good to see that you admit that you need help to deliver the game. Actually, it's something pretty obvious since you admit that you have overestimate your progress in almost 50 percentage points.

I'm afraid I can't accept your offer, because I'm not an erodev, but I'm pretty sure that there are people with the necessary skills and experience that could accept the job for a fair wage. I suggest you to announce in this forum and in your Patreon page that you are hiring and also the details of the offer, and wait for candidates.

The correction to the progress estimate is a result of the new way of working that I introduced last week, and we're experimenting with now. Early indications are good; I'll put up a blog post with more details soon for those who are interested in what goes on behind the scenes.

Sept 20, 2018 update report:More than two months without a real update, and now the guy says that. He's making about 2.800 $ per month in Patreon and there are fanboys here that attack as rabid dogs every single criticism about the game. There are things I simply can't understand... Or maybe understand too well when I remember what F. Schiller said about "the very Gods themselves"...

No matter how much money people donate on Patreon, then it wont change that the majority are not working on their games full time, and probably have a job, friends and family that comes before their hobby projects. Most are at the same time hobby developers who haven't done a lot of development before and have no idea about time management as well, so I don't know what kind of expectations and pressure should be put on those who take time to make games like this?

I feel that Crushstation have been quite open about the timeline and what is being worked on compared to a lot of others who make interactive stories / games in this genre, so that someone scream that person x are getting xyz amount on Patreon, then it wont change their timeline, their commitment and how much work they put into it other that they will end up feeling a lot of pressure from people who are standing with their hands out asking for more free gifts.

That would be OK if this were just an amateur game made for fun. But this game is made in exchange of money. In my country, the average wage is about 1.900 euros. He's making more than most of the employees of my country. I think it's reasonable to ask for some professionalism.

There are already several other people who work on the game: our illustrator Victoria who drew all the new avatar artwork, Hyneman who is a great coder, and esclavage, Dissonant Soundtrack and The Scribbler who have all contributed great writing on the project. Plus several members of our great fan community (Falloutbabe and Abbi in particular, plus about a dozen other names that spring to mind) have contributed great ideas and writing that are slowly making their way into the game.

I don't think the problem will be solved by just recruiting another person (although I sincerely meant my offer – if anybody can help me speed up development, I'll happily share the money with them). Instead, we need to create better methods of planning and teamwork, and the first step is the workflow change we started experimenting with on Wednesday.

You admitted that you have a problem about delivering the updates of your game and you asked for help, so I inferred you were looking for hiring people. Now you say that's not the problem. It´s OK. I don't pretend to say you how to solve your problems, but you have to understand that to announce that you have to lower the progress estimate in almost 50 percentage points is kind of shocking, even if you now say that is a result of the new way of working you are experimenting with. Anyway, good luck with those experiments, the new workflow and etcetera.

I am very disappointed that the update takes so long, but for a good reason - I liked the game a lot, and so I am impatient. It takes much longer than I thought, but I have no idea how to create such game. To me it sounds totally okay what the dev, Crushstation, is telling about the progress. He keeps us informed and we need patience, so far it really sounds like in the end we will be more than satisfied. I can imagine that once the basic decisions are made it will be easier to update. The main reason for being impatient is that the game started very good. THANKS Crushstation. Still, can't wait for the update to come out.

Ayo I see the heat you are taking for this, but so far it seems like you have your shit together 100% more than other people doing the same thing. Ignore the haters and make something great.

Not that I wouldn't mind if you drop any pretense at a social life and/or non-work activities by all means work 80 hours a week on this your fanbase deserves it and other things that are maybe not true but totally sound plausible.

Is there an easy fix for this ? Should I rename some variables or something? Or is the error of greater magnitude?

Seeing all these lifepath updates, I wonder if those choices will affect the hypno path? The hypno path will create some super drastic changes for a super smart/super serious agent background.

These spring to mind but I definitely want to hear what you'd like to see.

BDSM and exhibitionism/public sex come to mind, but I guess they're already planned, judging by the kinks the agent can have.

I just recently discovered this game and already did several playthroughs. As a roleplayer I love the SURPS idea and can't wait to see how this game turns out. If you can find a way of making different 'specialisations' using skills and such to solve situations in multiple ways I can easily see this game becoming one of my favourite ever. Keep up the good work!

I like what I see (or rather read) so far. It's rare that a mostly text-based game can hold my attention for so long.

...so great work.

The only fear I got is textual integrity. This game will end up with *a lot* more text and I really hope Crushstation is avoiding turning the writing into an aggregated effort. This usually ends in a product with vastly varying quality and loss of focus, severely damaging immersion in the progress (as characters suddenly behave different, speak different etc...).

Doing my best! My hope is that the systems we're building now will make future updates a lot quicker and easier.

I know. Sorry if I get impatient. It's much harder to build a game than it is to play it. We gamers sometimes forget that, and maybe we expect too much because of it. I still love the game, and I'll keep checking back to see what's up.

Hey Crush, just wanted to chime in and say that as eager as I am to see the game get to Bangkok, I know the hard work you're doing now is going to pay off with a much better experience throughout the game. Don't get discouraged, don't get burned out, this is one of the most promising games of this sort I've ever seen, and I think it's going to have true lasting power. Slow and steady wins the race!

Are you talking about the version available here or the one that is WIP?

If you are referring to the version here, bear in mind that the dev has been doing a major overhaul with much more immersion, freedom to mold our mc etc (so i hear).
