I don't know, many people feel that way but I'm actually starting to like Lydia more as we go along. I am happy with this game for trying to do something other than the same old generic "roomate" thing with a underage looking protagonist by exploring a nice range of kinks. I was never the biggest fan of watersports but i sure welcome the change it brings.

I am also happy with its depiction of a transgender woman, Lyssa. She is a actually well developed character with her own needs and desires.

More often than not when actual trans people appear in a game the developers fall into some sort of "bigot's fetish trap" (maybe by fear of their audience's reaction or because of their own bias). It usually follow like this: "me alpha male will fuck your tranny ass but me don't touch dick, that will make me 'gay' ".

It is a breath of fresh air playing a game like Fetish Locator. Plus it is nice to see it doing good on Steam too.


ps: not counting futas or dickgirls here since they usually are used in more fantasy/distopia/sci-fi settings.

I totally agree. I really like how the fetishes are given a bit depth and spread out more or less between characters so you can choose where and with who you want to go. For example i'm not that into NTR or watersports so I skipped the NTR but checked out the watersports because Min's route is interesting.Daisy seems to hint at a different, softer flavour of Femdom that's less harsh than Dahlia's. Maybe she, Polly, or both would peg you at some point which could also be cool routes to see.

Lyssa is the most complete transgender character I've ever seen in a game so far. She's a confident person who knows herself, with a job, life, and story defined beyond being transgender. She'd still be my favourite or 2nd fav character if she was a genetic girl. Yes she's very sexy, and yes I like the idea of a lady with a penis, but the game doesn't just shoehorn you into one way of exploring the fetish. Maybe you're on top, maybe she's on top, maybe you try some BDSM, maybe she blows you in an alleyway, maybe you slap her dick till she cums?

Not only did the dev give so many options but they seem attractive and plausible because it feels like a pseudo-real relationship with a person and less like simple porn and I think a lot of the enjoyment comes from having the freedom to make those choices. And that goes for all of the other characters, I'm just using Lyssa as an example because I like her the most and she was mentioned in the comment above (100% agree with the comment btw)

I applaud the developer for making a trans character more than just a "token trans character," the "bigot's fetish trap," or the "ultra-hyper-sexual-dominant amazonian" futa/dickgirl who fucks whoever they see with a dick down to their knees. It takes guts to make an adult game with many options lots of people might not like and I take my hat off to ViNovella for that.

The game's greatest strength to me is how it blends many fetishes with realistic, likeable characters. Like I said earlier, I started Min's route because I was a little curious and I think the character is hot but even though I'm not super into watersports I stuck with it because she was struggling and asked for help, and I wanted to help. The fetishes are certainly fun and definitely hot but the characters and their stories make me want to keep "boldly going" where I may not have been before or usually like to go just to see who I might meet when I get there, and there are very few games I've played that have done that.

Cards are tied to playing the game. Not achievements, so if you burn through in an hour you'll earn about 1 card.

Incest is both, actually. With the MC and Stacy if you went ahead and upgraded her from randy roommate to twisted sister by applying the usual. And with Echo and Bravo. Which incidentally brings us your next question:
The current state of NTR in this game has the MC cuck one of his friends. Namely Bravo. Like most of the paths (the notable exception being the watersports training with Squizzle – Bad watersports. Does Week2 only have one day? After leaving the cafeteria, the game told me to save, and pretty much dumped me into the main menu.
Scratch that, just checked the walkthrough.

What can I say? I really like it so far. The characters are pretty interesting (mostly), the models are hot, the whole premise is pretty good, and hey, no magic, no orcs and no elves! (this is a good thing in my book). Most of the advertised fetishes are there, the dialogues are funny, there are some easter eggs (something I also try adding into stuff I create - don't ask), and there's a fairly good balance between exposition and action. The PC doesn't feel like a Mary Sue (as is often the case with such games), at least, not too much.

Something I didn't like? I actually don't have much.

• I don't particularly like the model for Lydia (I think it's Lydia? - the PC's "perfect girl"), that is, her face in some scenes looks like she's in her 40's which is a bit immersion-breaking given that she's supposed to be in her late-teens/ early-20's.
• The PC's actions don't make much sense after he starts "dating" Lydia - he got his perfect girl, but still goes sleeping around. I'm pretty sure it doesn't happen like that (at least, if my personal experience is anything to go by ). Then again, since he slept around even before getting together with her, I suppose it'd be hard to stop, especially since she's in no hurry to have sex.
• This one is a problem with all games featuring "patched" incest content, not just this game. I get that incest is a taboo subject with most people, but if you're going through the trouble of adding it to your game, then just be consistent, because most visual novels that I've seen that had incest content patched out had it done in a very sloppy fashion. That being said, incest isn't my kink or anything, but I don't mind such content either, especially if it's optional.
