the idea behind this particular thread here is, to have it all -offline- without the need to go to a website, and have it all sorted in a useable manner. websites partially make it extra hard/geeky to download the playable content, among other issues.
Yeah I'm not sure what's up with that, to me it sounds like an issue with Flash not being able to stream assets properly. You can try opening the swf directly "EroMachineFlashCasex.swf" in the folder as a last resort. If that works I can add an option in the future to skip Basilisk and play it directly.
Technically, yes. I can't provide support for it but you can add your own content via Add Game and provide your own metadata.
I hear ya. Would love to have something similar for Android but it would involve so much reworking and converting every Flash individually to accommodate mobile controls.
haven't played those mentioned games (i use flash player standalone, outside of the flashbang) but by the sound of it, it may be a common issue with one .swf file referring to another at a specified location, when the path to that location doesn't match the reference, i.e. pointer mismatch. some Flash games require subset .swf files in a subfolder located in the main .swf files' folder, usually named [sub] (some JSK games) or [data] (example, Queen Hunt); sometimes however you can just place all .swf files of one game into a folder together with the main game .swf file (example, Space Girl Interrupted).. usually websites have a dedicated html file or a frame to point to the parts in question..? not that keen on the howto per game.
From what I can tell digging a bit through the code and file structure, NorwaySuisan's games, at least the ones that are breaking, have multiple .html files as a part of the actual game, with .swf files unique to each .html file. This structure requires that the .swf files at some point redirect to a different .html file, and I did find code seemingly meant to handle this. For whatever reason, this part seems to be broken, and the program simply does nothing apparent when it's supposed to redirect from .swf to .html.
I listed the websites because you can download from them. Their more like archives now for the Flash Files. for
seems to be a pointer in the .swf missing a target, then. such happens when the directory structure differs from the sources' structure, mostly if a game is site ripped. the .swf just points exit to "somewhere" and won't give a error message.
i get that. just i don't use any google anything and keep alot of things off my rigg. my version of FF, i have some chances to just inspect the page and try to dig up the actual link to the .swf file. works less with embedded stuff.
I've identified at least one probable issue with the games, which is that they seem to use a function for URL navigation that was disabled in one of Flash's last updates for security reasons (the specific function is navigateToURL()). I'm led to believe that it is not the only issue though, as I attempted to run the games in a version of Basilisk that had an older version of flash installed with no luck.
you're correct with that, by pointer i'm talking about available (in Flash) means to pass on a reference to a "next step" which can be inside the same .swf file or a outside ressource, that's commonly a url or file path refer (well, url is kind of a path refer, too) which can be anything from a simply embedded url inside the Flash file, or a function, there are various ways to do that in a Flash file.

Yup, that certainly seems to be the same one I'm using. It's been a while so I don't remember the details, I just know I "stumbled" upon it while searching for something else regarding flash - I remember that the impression I got from the placement, naming and overall ease (or lack thereof) finding it was that they're trying to keep it on a "for those that know about it" basis. Unless you know what you're looking for, you're more likely to find random flash emulators or other things, and finding it through manual browsing on adobe without being somewhat aware of what you're looking for seems unlikely.
Outside of very rare exceptions I only work with Flash that runs via .swf or .html files, if it runs from an exectable it starts to turn into a slippery slope of saving executable based games in general and that's outside my scope.
Yeah, I figured as much. I'll go through a proper check myself at some point when I'm not all over the place due to some 1000+ of tabs to try to work through on top of all the games and VNs I already have. I kinda built up a workload way beyond a manageable level for NSFW stuff :^)
Try right clicking and selecting "Save target as..." or "Save link as...". Then open the file you just downloaded in your preferred torrent program.
