Really makes you appreciate how many Quality of Life improvements have being innovated over decades, ain't it? ;)

Tho to be fair, this game is old, with very deep learning curve, nearly no hand-holdings.
But if you really sit down to learn to ropes, there's a game behind with some very interesting premise, mechanics and gameplay.
The Old School MUD also has some really Unique charm that ages well for people who appreciates it.

TL'DR: If you are just looking for porn to get off, this is definitely not a game for you, even if they really port it into a modern game engine (like they said years ago).
Was a while since I played this and just picking it up again so might be wrong on some of the following since it's mostly based on when I last played.

My own experience and personal gripe with the game is that while everything you've written is true there is also the elephant in the room that the game is mostly made up of storylines made by random writers and that you have no idea or clue in game to know if something is completed or not until you hit a roadblock or just can't find a solution no matter what you do.

For instance I don't remember exactly where I went but one of my first playthroughs had me find if I remember right a tribe of lizardmen and then you can do stuff with them until the game starts talking about you picking a class and lvling up / upgrading it or something. So I spent a lot of time just looking around the area and trying to find a way to progress only to later on go on the games forum and see that there was nothing more to it and I believe I talked about it on here some year or so ago.

So at the moment while the game is open and has a bunch of stuff in it some of it just leads to dead ends but you have no idea about it in game and instead it just ends without you being able to know if thats all of it or not unless you read stuff up outside of the game. So while again there is a lot here it can be frustrating especially since I also for the most part enjoy games like this an easy solution would be to simply include something that gave a heads up like thats all of it in the quest log or include "end of current content" as a line during the last part. But far as I know there isn't anything like that for at least some of the content.

You can "cheese" or "cheat" by reading most if not all of the content on the forum and what different choices you can take and what outcomes they lead to but that pretty much defeats the point of the game if your gonna play it while reading everything from the forum.

Still I personally would very much appreciate if there was some kind of guide or walkthrough that simply listed the content that was completed and for the non completed content when it ended, and perhaps even list all the characters and what content they are part of without going into details.

It's a shame that this game seems to suffer from furry game production system in terms of its' writers. A new character or environment is added, looks good on the surface, promised future updates and then months seem to go by, soon turning into years, with no sign of a new update to the point where maybe 1 in 5 characters see development after they're added. Then you have things like this update that seem to add very little but one particularly niche character's content as if the entire update focused entirely on one wealthy furry's commission. I'm not sure if there's not enough people submitting content or not enough people paying for it but each update recently has been increasingly slimmer and slimmer until one build in four is actually worth downloading.

I'd love to know what's going on with the production of this game sometimes, whether they're just working on the new engine or to what ratio they work on the old versus the new, as it's got fucking loads of good stuff you just hate to see squandered.

Current version appears to be unrecognizable by Fabularium. Says the game can't be added.

does anyone know what the insanely priced cheat code that costs more than my netflix and game pass subscriptions even does?
