And after the recent Lust Campus, here's another abandoned game, with a developer who is no longer a Patron creator, whose Steam page appears out of nowhere:

Here too, without official confirmation, it's hard to tell if it's a stolen title or not, and even the always similar game descriptions and the support email indicated on Steam, which strangely is always a Gmail one, can provide any certainty of it, but the matter remains a bit suspicious :cautious:
I checked and it's the same dev name on steam, but their patreon account is still dead. I really liked the promise of this game and am cautiously optimistic that it's being continued by the origional dev.

I don't know, even the developer names on Steam for AOA Academy and AOA Academy: Christmas (the dev here said he wasn't the one putting the games on Steam), Fantasy Valley Seasons 1 and 2, 53X Homecoming, and Divergence: Beyond the Singularity Part 1 & Part 2 are the same as the official ones, but it's likely they were all stolen and put up for sale by others. If an official email address was known, it could be compared to the one provided for support on Steam to try to determine if it's an official release or not.

For now, nothing concrete is known about Lust Campus or Chains of Pleasure, and in fact not even about Vis – Chapter 1 (before it was banned), but Highway To Hell from the reviews seems to be the same one that was abandoned in 2023, both these games are from the same developer and he also have announced the news about Vis being banned on Steam in Highway to Hell hub, however that game has not seen any updates whatsoever after its release.

Anyway, and maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't really mind knowing if buying a game I'm supporting the real developer rather than a third party profiteer and scammer.

I just saw it myself so figured I'd pop in here to see what's up. After 3+ years of nothing, I sense scam with the steam release. So unless I hear differently, I ain't wasting my money.

I'm the same. If it is the same dev then I would have expected the patreon site to be reactivated and even some coments on steam. I'll probably have another look in a months time.

It is indeed a scam, someone uploaded it there under the original dev's name. One of the reviews calls it out as being stolen and unchanged from this version.

Nice that someone looked into it. Really underhanded bullshit though on whoever uploaded it.
