Yeah, more and more prey is getting weak from loss of blood and just keeling over and dying...who'd 've thought it, eh?
The herd is dying before incredulous eyes.

Eh seen a few people do such a thing before.

Usually, as a spiritual successor to the original, but doing their own thing (Example: My Sweet Neighbors got abandoned, and these two became spiritual successors: Love Next Door and Wings of Silicon).

Sometimes people go the route of a remake but keeping shit the same/similar (Example: Urban Demons got abandoned, so a remake popped up for it Urban Demons Remake)

And then we have the rare picking up where the plot left off...a fella tried that with Our Fate - A new family, but the author of the game was adamant that no one use his IP, and respectfully, the guy trying to pick up where the game left off stopped....although Our fate did get a spiritual successor in a sense with Lost at birth

Honestly, if people want to pick up where the author of this game (or other abandoned games) left off, it's best to try and at least get permission. Even if they don't get back to you or dropped off the face of the earth, an attempt is better than nothing. Worst case scenario, they come back from the void to tell ya to stop.

Thanks at least that's more clear as to what is acceptable. This one was gone to soon left on a rather awesome sex scene then suddenly poof creator disappeared, would be awesome to see it picked back up but hey what do I know.

And after the recent Lust Campus, here's another abandoned game, with a developer who is no longer a Patron creator, whose Steam page appears out of nowhere:

Here too, without official confirmation, it's hard to tell if it's a stolen title or not, and even the always similar game descriptions and the support email indicated on Steam, which strangely is always a Gmail one, can provide any certainty of it, but the matter remains a bit suspicious :cautious:

Yeah, we enjoy anonimity and the devs do also enjoy it. Devs have been known to have alt accounts here, so why not even on Steam? Their prottective rights to keep a low profile and not engage too much with th efanbase, is a better one than attacking the fanbase when they have somehting to say, other than praise and total admiration. Just look at Borderlands 4 CEO.
