well what i see is they have alot of skills to use and you run out of magic to fast , and don't forget you hit the nemy for alittle damge but each enemy does almost the same and they attack after one of your people. so that's why you team dies faster i think. could be wrong tho.

Do you also give the same criticism to those who use pre-made poser models. I bet you don't, even know there dime a dozen and have been more over done then over done can be. why because it's a standard and you don't realize your bias is with AI, you think positioning poser models is any more hard work then getting the AI to get what you want it to give you and then doing the same kind of renpy positioning as any other poser model user dose. Nether are being lazy there just utilizing what tools they have at their disposal.
You're jumping to a lot of conclusions about my opinion on the art from all the Daz3d slop that comes through here. As much as I can talk shit about those sorts of games all day - creating and composing scenes, posing actors etc for those pictures, absolutely does require more effort than feeding words into an AI image generator and selecting the most polished of the turds it regurgitates. Daz3d can be used to good artistic effect - lighting, scenery, composition etc - it's just a function of effort. Many of the games that we're familiar with here, are far from meeting the bar. Yes, Daz3d slop is "shit art", but I will always respect it more than AI. Not by much, but still.

What I would respect at least as much as that, would be using AI to generate an image - then tracing or replicating that image yourself - and in doing so, making it a genuine creative effort, replete with the touches, intended or otherwise, that make it something uniquely yours . Even if you didn't come up with where to put the lines, the proportions and all that, you still created them.

BTW my brother is an armature artist, he has done work for others before. he charges $25 per image. Honesty his art is not better than the AI art as its very 80s manga style.
Your brother's art could be of a bicycle, or perhaps a watermelon, and I bet I'd still be more aroused by it than AI-generated images, or said daz3d ren'py incest/ntr slop. It sounds like people are paying for it - because it's from a human and is made up of their unique choices as to how to execute a piece.

AI-generated images are a soulless amalgamation, especially in this context.

I don't doubt the rest of the game took a lot of effort to create - I'm slowly learning gamedev myself, and I find it hard as fuck. The difference is, I wouldn't include AI-generated content in the final product. I refuse to purchase games with AI-generated content. On top of being unappealing and uncanny, it's a legal, moral and marketing issue - the output of AI image generators is plagarised from untold thousands of real pieces of art, and the people who actually worked to create them. Don't try and draw a comparison in effort between that, and typing a string of words into a box. Another point to the Daz3d slop - even if the assets are pre-made, and they're being lazy about it - they're still at the very least choosing exactly what to do with them, and working to make it happen.

This is a game I'd want to play - darkest dungeon but porn - if it weren't for all the images being AI. I hope that changes.

Oh - it has DLC, presumably also using AI-generated "art". Yeah, that can fuck right off into the sun.

That's literal nonsense. The game has rounds and each character has 1 action on that round. Nice try.
Not nonsense. I also encountered same problem and only with protag party, enemy working fine. It is not very often but still. By my guess, problem in function that choose next character for action, like it cannot switch over correctly for some reason and fall back to last used character to proceed.
But right now main problem for me is mechanics.
Player do not know who and when will take action. In this kind of game this is very important. Can I risk and not heal mage but potentially kill enemy before he acts? Should I heal my weakest party members now because next will be 3 enemy actions in row? You do not know so you kinda forced to play safe.
My mage and healer usually main targets and so receive the most damage in battle and since any enemy from any position can attack them, you cannot do anything about it. While this is also true for you party, I didn`t feel any advantage in that, enemy composition (aside from "hero" encounters) is more random and "mage" may be in front.
Health bar is ok, but numerical value is also needed. Like I encountered new enemy. Is it tough or some weakling that will die from 1 or 2 strike? Or I poisoned enemy and it will take 4 damage in next action. He left with sliver of health bar but how exactly much? Will poison be enough to kill him or not?
Also there is problem with loot, primary how you manage it. You often received so-so items and that`s okay, but to manage them all after getting good equipment is tedious because you usually do not need them anymore. But selling each of them manually after clicking to blacksmith.... is not fun or quick at all.
There is some interesting bug. After using first health potion, it no longer showed in inventory (in battle or shop) no matter how much I buy in shop or find in dungeons.

Look i do get where people are coming from about AI, however you need to see it like this, more games being made = more getting made in the future. why because it increases the interest for it all around. So giving someone shit about their use of AI art if that's all they have the funds for then basically you might just contribute to the game getting abandoned and the developer loose interest. I ate this bit of humble myself once a time ago, I gave and to some degree still give VNs a absolute hell of a hard time, I can't stand them (there not games their stories if i want a story with my porn I'll go to porn hub). However, someone wrote my face a reality check on giving them shit. that being if less VNs get made then more than likely as a whole less games will get made as well. So I now leave the VN devs alone, they must be enjoying it too (you have no idea the hell I've given them).

Implying piracy is inherently immoral, and the laws about it are moral. I'd disagree, and that's a discussion for another time.
Edit - didn't realise I was speaking to OP/Dev here. You're here, posting about your game on a pirate forum - I imagine it's something you had to weigh up?

What I mean by legal issues is that there's the potential for legislation to be introduced, limiting the use of AI-generated content in commercial works. And I hope it happens. Morally, in this context, it's the same to me as ripping the images straight from another game, claiming it as your own and profiting from it. What's real comedy gold is the people who type text in a box to generate an image and act like they're some kind of herculean visionary artiste for the 'effort'

So, great bug here, I played a while, left, came back and didn't realize that my potions reset themself to 1, which is bad in it's own right, but then I used the 1 health potion in the dungeon, and guess what, I can't even buy them anymore, since, the won't show up in my inventory.

WTF?

My perspective on that is more is not necessarily better though. Pumping out more games with AI mean more exposure to games with AI, and I don't want that to become the standard and expectation. For me, the art being more of a deliberate quality is way more important than simply having more games. Look at the bodies of the characters. It's uncanny to see the weird shading and bumpy anatomy, because it doesn't mean anything. It's the impression of quality, something that's just good enough. This is worse to me than someone that has a "novice" art style because at least in that case it's genuine and can be cultivated.

There is no shortage of ideas. You may get developers that abandon their games, that's just the nature of the craft. But people aren't going to stop making games, or even genres of games, because they aren't being fed a constant flux of them. We should reward quality with attention, not how fast you can create a game. AI to iterate is reasonable to me, but not as a final product. Critical assessment of tools and output is okay.

Feedback in a big wall of text:

Bugs:

There is a door interaction to take you to the blacksmith from the Cultist area. It's at the end of the river that doesn't go under a bridge.

When stunned, it logs the action intended to be taken and does it next turn if valid in some circumstances. I'm pretty sure this isn't intended.

General Feedback:

Only available subclass seems to be really ripping hard on Solo Leveling. I don't know if it's particularly good that it seems to have anti-synergy with the other non-free character classes though. It definitely seems like it could be strong with potion abuse and towns guard sacrifices. IMO, I don't particularly care for Solo Leveling (RIP the poor artist who hard carried the story), but I won't really go into that here as it doesn't change the rest of my feedback.

Will there be subclasses for the non-MC characters? I sure hope so as that would make investment into characters have more payoff.

And on that note, why do female characters die when defeated? The lore suggests that maybe they should be captured, debilitated in some way, or lose their senses. Just trying to make sense of what seems like a conflict between the in-game lore as presented and gameplay mechanics.

Are enemies simply more likely to target front characters? It seems like they can hit the back two spots even if they are melee. And that's a little scuffed until you can get high defense on support units.

I can't tell if Rogue passive actually works. Even if it does, It doesn't seem very good for a few reasons.

There are no skill upgrades so there is no improvement in skills outside of just raw stat improvements from equipment and leveling.

There are no intents from enemies like Slay the Spire so preemptively defensive abilities seem not very worth it like Paladin's Stun (very mana costly and unreliable) and Rogue's Dodge Buff (enemies can hit other characters, making this do nothing and doesn't do any damage). Character turn order isn't clear and that makes these feel even more questionable.

On the topic of turn order . . . its really opaque on how this is determined. Am I seriously unlucky when my Rogue takes action near the end of a turn a few times in a row? Is Agility just dodge chance? Is turn order totally random outside of the 1 action per character per round? Turn order is something really important in games like these and having no apparent way to determine or influence it is not a great feeling.

On the asset side of things I noticed that there are a lot of large replicated assets that then have just slight changes to that made for whatever it is that are different. For example, in portraits, I see that the MC has just an actual portrait, but all the other characters have the entire bottom combat UI also included in their portraits. I don't know if this was just done for simplicity on coding, but Renpy games have a tendency to explode in file size so I'd like to encourage reusing assets already included in the game in that manner.

On equipment, its pretty straight forward but not particularly interesting. I did notice that there didn't seem to be any equipment restrictions so I'm gonna continue to put heavy armor on all my supports and that nice dagger with better attack on my mage.

Class balance:
Crusader is fine, but doesn't seem to be able to protect the backline like they can in Darkest Dungeon since enemies can just ignore them, but they have okay damage and a really useful heal. The stun is niche at best. Passive is really good.
Mage has a lot of damage, but chugs through the mana. Has the best feeder attack as it actually does more damage than I was expecting, but it also prevents them from being useless when out of mana. The mage's AoE damage is really useful as sometimes an enemy is left with almost no HP and this chip it away alongside hitting all enemies. Passive is fine, but damage on low life isn't as good as defenses.
Healer doesn't have an AoE heal, but solo heal is . . . okay. I think it'd be interesting if this got regen on it as it's currently a HP Potion that uses mana instead of money. Her cure is useful . . . IF you can use it. Turn order sometimes means you've gone two rounds of bleed damage before you get back to the healer to cure it. Passive is too RNG for my tastes, I'd prefer a steady self heal instead of a bursty random heal.
Rogue . . . doesn't seem very good, IMO. She seems very replaceable by the MC. Okay damage, but bleed chance is too low. Can't tell if it works on enemies like skeletons either. Her self dodge buff seems really weird. If she goes last in a round after getting hit, it does little. If she gets it off before enemies attack, she still has to get targeted and then also dodge. Very RNG. Or you can attack and hope to bleed so extra damage is taken.
Can't test Bunny in gameplay, but her damage is bad, her evade skill seems genuinely trash (evade gets much better the higher it is, but is much worse than defense at low values), her ATK/DEF buff seems really good, and of course her passive is busted if basic attack counts as a skill. If it doesn't, then its fine, but also makes her evade skill even more trash as it costs 3 turns of MP feeding with basics.
As for the MC . . . I won't spoil anything but I don't care for his subclass attack. Terrible usefulness for its MP cost. None of his attacks have synergy with his poison passive, but I feel like some of his attacks could have multi-hit features to make proccing his passive more common. Otherwise, he's a more offensive rogue for the most part on his base class.

And I'm not certain how I feel about mana. The feeder spender system can be potentially problematic with how it can restrict gameplay options. I'll have to see what I think in the future.

Stress:
And for my last point . . . if you were gonna parody Darkest Dungeon . . . where is the "stress" equivalent? It'd be so easy to make this lust with the world building you've already done with it being corruption. Maxing it could wear down a character with an Affliction or could result in them having a "Virtue" effect. These could be modified to things like Submissive or Incoherent for affliction or Dominant or Clearheaded as Virtues. This also gives a different path to have enemies attack instead of just HP.

Hopefully this was readable . . .

I honestly don't understand why some people are complaining about the difficulty. First time I launched and realized this probably has some kind of permadeath I started backing up my saves at every turn expecting some brutal shit but turns out you can just breeze through with a full party just fine. Haven't played that much, of course, so i don't know if there's some serious difficulty spike past 50% dungeon completion and whatnot

It's pretty barren and PoC right now in terms of lore, enemies variation and mechanics but I think this game has the potential to become something very special with time and I hope the dev keep on working this little gem, despite some folks bashing it in the reviews

If there's one thing I'd like to suggest is to do away with the stock happy rpg maker tune that plays in the pub. It absolutely doesn't fit with this game's tone, at all

Really solid foundation so far! I really hope we can at least have sex with the enemy girls and even capture them.

Will definitely come back for more!

This game has some rather "unique" backend code... For those who don't wish to grind levels (which results in minuscule upgrades) I've modified the "levels.rpy" file to set all stats for all characters at all levels to 999. You won't see these upgrades until after you finished the tutorial (you will always lose this fight). You can also modify the values inside the "levels.rpy" file and they will apply every time you enter town.

Additionally, I'm including a very simple script to enable the console (press "shift + O"). I'll include a non-exhaustive list of commands you can use.

I really like the AI design of the game, but unfortunately I don't like survival games, especially if they have no save function and permadeath.
Has anyone tried editing their savegame? I used “Save Editor Online” to customize my gold, but this causes the game to display a black screen when loading the savegame.
Are there any cheats for the game to make it easier?
