im of two minds, on one hand, i really dislike "press space to move foward" games, games are interactive media, and having to put SOME work on geting to the goods make it more fun/worth the experience. on the other, i really dislike minigames that are there just to waste time.

give me the training sessions, the combat missions and the whole relationship buildup. but please drop the cards, crabs and coin flips. we dont want things that are there without a good reason(as in, not there to point and say "look what our coder was able to do in half an hour!!").

Yeah, some of the minigames are sometimes not really mini. The crab battling thingie in Book 2 was nothing but a quirky side thingie for the hell of it, only to turn into a way too big game in Book 3. Hell, I wasted over an hour in there for the hell of it. The moneymaking minigames in Book 3 were pretty neat, as there's been story callbacks as to why running scams to even make money to start out would be needed. However, in book 4 it starts to go out of control: The match 3 game is tideous and too unrewarding for the amount of time invested. The Probending game is okay in theory, but its execution deserves execution, given its horrendous control scheme (which I honestly have little problems with, rolling back works there)

Just make the minigames directly tie in to lewd content and we're set. When it's just grinding for money or stats it's stupid. Keep minigames to actual training with the girls and sex scenes. At the very least keep it very simple so it does not delay the content most people want and the others can periodically play bejeweled in a different window

And herein lies the problem: You can't please everyone.

Some want there to be actual gameplay in there, not just simple stat grindng. Some want there to be no real minigames all around, others again want the minigames to be tied to the lewds and so on and so forth. Tastes are vast, and thus are the possibilities.
They basically set a precident for their team in how they are handling things by having minigames of different varieties break up the monotonous gameplay and earn you some money on the side with little risk for the player to mess up entirely. It would be a hard shift to switch this around, as people could basically ask themselves when they started the new book "What kind of minigames are they gonna throw at us this time so we can earn some money?". It's the way it's been, and presumably is gonna be the way moving forward.

I'm personally more than happy with the minigames, except in the newest book. They're too rough with too much of an investment, while having little payoff.

I'ma be honest.

This is one of those games that I genuinely look forward to playing every update. So with the exception of the crab battles in Book 3, I enjoy every aspect of this game as a game.

Sure, the porn is nice and I enjoy that aspect of the game as well, but most of the minigames and the story itself, I enjoy just as much.

I'm really glad, actually, that the CCG isn't going in the game. The crab pokemon thing is already way too much "extra" to the experience. The game has gotten away from the fighting mini-games that actually fit the feeling of the show. Make those the primary mini-games and I'm down. No more bejeweled clones, or any other filler.

I know I'm late to this but saying nobody is playing this for the minigames and that this is a porn game, give us more porn kinda defeats the purpose of...playing a porn game. The reason you're here is to play a porn game. You are going through a story and playing games in order to earn the porn and get even more out of it through the context of the story.

If you just want porn there's hundreds and thousands of other places you can get porn.

But what if I want porn and a good story? That's something most hentai and porn videos don't have.

Anyways the usual 1-2 minigames wouldn't be a problem, but on this new book there are 3 already, and the "most entertaining" for me, the amount of money one can acquire has a limit which is laughable and I have to grind the same game over and over doesn't matter how good you're at it. In other words the games could feel better if the reward was bound to some sexy scenes. So we feel rewarded.

I mean, trying and failing to add a CCG probably had a big impact so i understand the delay, hell even if everything worked out, CCG are such a mess that it would still cause a massive delay.

I'm fine with delays as long as it's for an actual reason and not because of lazyness.

Given that inside the latest "Art Update" post - where this stuff got first mentioned - the coder himself said that a version would be out in "a couple days", which was on the 26th of september, that is not a difficult call to make. A couple of days should not mean 2 weeks.

MITY delivered quality way too often to be mad about for too long - it's people venting at this rate I'm sure, but given how well and constantly they deliver, I don't see much complaining in regards to their dev cycle.

I was somewhat certain people were getting conned with isctor, given he took quite a long ass break, set a release date for basically tomorrow and now is releasing a beta which lacks animation and also goes into prolonged testing (10 days instead of the usual 3)

Unless that update, if it ever does drop, entirely triples the amount of content Milfy City has his patrons will still have been conned. Or perhaps if you're generous you could downgrade "conned" to "ripped off".
