A FET2, with all new characters with FET1 as a lore but MC starting with all powers... Even a hint of this would allow a more open ending without being unsatisfying, as long as it does not go like Akabur's Princess Trainer (that last I heard he said would never be continued).

I'll be honest, great idea, but VERY open too. You can do... about anything in there if you have a good story. That is good but also bad. Mity did great under the confines of the canon Avatar, but we can't tell how a brand new one would go. There is a reason so many fanfics seem to have god writers but go down in quality after breaking from the canon railroads (if they don't go out of their way to stay in them).
After all, for every Mad Max Fury Road there is a Star Wars Sequel Trilogy.

Makes me want to ask Mity permission to make my own version of FET2 later if they don't want to. Or as a gaiden story.

Of course, I'd need to know the actual background story/problem/current ending first, so I can only make minor plans until the epilogue (don't really want to ask how it would go and spoil myself if they answer)

Honestly Im predicting a hiatus announcement in the next few days with the Halloween mini update released a week or so afterwards. The coder is probably having a burnout I really doubt this is just writers block.

Obviously a repeat of last year where we had to wait 4 months for a new update is gonna suck but what sucks even more is that they've been having the same problems for a long time now and its only going to get worse the closer they get to finishing the game but they really have no incentive to address any of these problems. FET is arguably one of the best western porn games out there but unfortunately the high quality of the game means people are generally just going to give them a free pass no matter what happens.

I definitely want to be proven wrong, but the more "okay its coming soon this time for real" posts the harder it gets. Love the game and the guys behind it but I can't help but feel worried about the final stretch.

Well again, its such a massive plan with so many moving parts and promises that it seems hard to believe. I mean FET would have been a laughable concept if MiTY hadn't actually gone out and made the whole ass thing. If this project can show half as much talent, ambition, and skill, then it'll be something decent, but that remains to be seen.
As my grandmother says, promises are like pie crusts. Easily broken.

We'll see how it turn out, I always try to be optimistic about new project because I know how scary it can be to start a project at all and if they have change their plans to be less ambitious later, it's not a big deal as long as it's at least good.

Another option if they want to stay with the Four Element vers and do a sequel would be to show us what Aang, Zuko and Tenzin did in your body while you were gone.

Like while you power up in their bodies, they lay the groundwork for you to accomplish whatever bulshit the spirit wanted you to and you come home to a harem you don't know much about, just like they do.

And then you do a third game where the MC actualy deal with the spirit bulshit.

It would not be hard to continue that vers while still shaking off any 'project rust' from four element trainer.

This would give you a canon path on the first game...
Since while Aang was pretty much the same in books 1 and 3, despite his relationship with characters being different, book 2 slave route and book 4 love route don't use a canon character for you
Meaning you would be stuck in love route for book 2 and slave route for 4.

I think it would be safer to go what Korra's mom said, that she appeared in MC's body mid-masturbation. Meaning whoever was there before then - and it was not you - was just stuck at home watching porn, probably on the internet.
Probably taken as some Avatar thing by outsiders (which based on what he says can be guesses as having a "finally" somewhere), and took much less time for those in the body than for the spirit/story due to Zuko's leaving ending taking some time.
