This is just not true, even on the hardest difficulties. Milking is a bigger moneymaker than whoring (weirdly, because it's even LESS realistic), and it's certainly possible to do just fine financially with neither whores nor cows. Early game, you will be pinched for money (basically relying on rent), but slave training is a great money maker long-term, and your weekly costs can be kept pretty low if you're using the right number of servants. Get a recruiter going, pick up some cheap slaves (shelter slaves are always very cheap, for example, though you have to be careful not to break their rules too often), and advance FSes that will bring you volunteers and increase the value of your slaves (ideally, your first FS should be one that rewards you for increasing the value of your slaves...Paternalism or Asset Expansionism are good choices for this strategy). You can make around 500k profit on each slave you train if you're doing it right, and that starts a virtuous cycle where you can invest in your neighboring arcologies and collect rent from them too. The Corporation can be a nice passive moneymaker as well, though it requires some capital to start up, and if you're using SecExp, weapons manufacturing is also a good source of money every turn that you can focus on right at the start of the game.
Oh, and don't forget about porn. Pick slaves with good faces, and producing porn from them will more than pay for them. Don't know if that triggers you the same way whoring does, but if it doesn't, it's a huge moneymaker and basically makes your slave count not matter at all, since every slave is cash-positive no matter what their job is.

rent pays way too little. even if I fully own both my arcology and my neighbors. it is still a tiny amount compared to other sources. and not enough to pay for various expenses
i hadn't considered just cheating to get money, but i agree that removes a part of the process that is bypassed fairly soon anyway, i'll do it next time
You're wrong here. They are not your harem. They are slaves, propertly to be used and exploited for profit.
Sure, you can keep a couple slaves exclusively for yourself, and never whore them out.
But extending such treatment to all slaves is straight up counterproductive and foolish.
Edit: If you are so strongly against whoring out any of your slaves, just cheat in several bajilions of money at the start and enjoy your power fantasy.
Don't even have to use cheat mode. "Limited cheat start" is enough to get practically infinite money.

1. While I dislike it, it has not been a complete dealbreaker. There are enough other pros in the game for me to ignore this.
2. I didn't "complain about NTR". I refuted your various arguments when you started harassing me over not sharing your fetish.
My initial post on this issue was a reply to someone asking "how to make money".
my answer was "prostitution".
As well as a "maybe I will make a mod that will allow more options for those who prefer not to"
The game literally has "sexual relief" stat, for each group of citizens, that you must fulfill to make them happy. That alone must have made it clear what the game is about.
You left out the part where it gives you the ability to pay a subsidy to incentivize other slave owners provide sexual services to meet it.
If all this game is only about whoring out slaves, then I guess they should remove the military/security expansions. The conquering other arcologies part should go too. Farming expansion? Remove it. Menials? Gone. Anything to do with laws in your city? Remove it. Get rid of weapon production, transportation, city improvement. It all detracts from the slave whoring experience.
Yes, remove everything. Leave only the part where you watch as people fuck your slaves. Best game ever. 11/10
