It should be OK with old saves. It's not something that I've tested though. It primarily depends on the main game files.

1. Download both the original game zip file and my patch zip file
2. Extract original game files to location of your choice
3. Extract game folder from patch file to the same folder as #2 overwriting the existing files if prompted to do so. You can ignore the batch file if you've never played the extracted game.
