I am going to be pretty upset (sad) when This Game Does FinallyI have quite a few outlines for more projects, but nothing to officially announce at this time. I don't think either FFC or myself are done after this game, though.
114 renders in 2 months? No offense but honestly is the team only working on weekends? Based on the Patreon page that is roughly $3k in subscriptions for something most solo developers can kick out in less then 7 days. This does not encourage much confidence in any future projects if I am being 100% honest. But yeah, we reused renders, and still also put 114 new renders into the ending so... maybe you should relax a bit.
It's around 1.5k a month. And it's split between me (who do the renders) and Val (who is the writer). And yes we do have other things outside this game we're working with. And it isn't only 114 renders and that's it. It's also stuff that people aren't really considering but still needs to be done. Like building new locations and characters that needs to be used for scenes. Those things can be very demanding in terms of time. 114 renders will probably take around 228 hours to make and render. And add in a couple of hours at least for the aforementioned locations and character creations. We can round it up to 250 hours. There isn't even 250 hours in 7 days.114 renders in 2 months? I don't really know where you got the drop in quality and quantity from. Of course I can't say you're wrong for saying there's a drop in quality. That's purely subjective. But quantity? Before we ended it, we made around 60 renders and 1k lines of script per month for each update. Now that we're ending it, it's around 120 renders and 2k lines of script every 2 month. So I'd say in terms of quantity it's exactly the same. So I'd love it if you could elaborate a bit on that. And still being honest the only reason people are getting pissed and ranting is because of the drastic drop in both quality and quantity since the decision to end this at what felt like a halfway point.
As for this point. I honestly think we've been rather good at communicating. We've been quite active here and on our Discord server answering questions and concerns people have. I think the issue that arises often is that different people keep repeating the same questions and concerns without knowing we've already answered it in the past. Which might make them feel like we're bad at communicating with the players. Which I can understand. It just feels like FFC is not even trying anymore and is just dragging their feet for profit now. Reality might be different but there has not been alot of communication to change that perspective.
And why the fuck she moves into a fucking dorm at all instead of her and mc renting a flat together...So why did they not move into the Aunts house instead of Alice living in a Dorm and who knows where the MC went
Writer's fatigue is my guess. And why the fuck she moves into a fucking dorm at all instead of her and mc renting a flat together...
Yea the Dev ruined it for me when the father came back and kicked them out of the house. Haven't played it since. And from what I have read about all the endings so far keeps me from wanting to come back and play any of them either. Not happening, sorry. Dev is just done with this project if you cant tell already. Anything more would just ruin this further for those that loved it before the massacre and untimely death of a great story.
I was comparing to some Solo developers that I know that can and have consistently produced 200 to 300 renders a week, this includes character creation, locations, coding and scripting and for some this was done on low end PCs until they were able to upgrade. But these Devs also seriously love what they are doing/creating and might also be slightly insane. Just saying that 114 renders seems low for 60 days compared to other projects. I get there are other things beside this project that you and Laurie have going on and scheduling ect can get messy at times. It's around 1.5k a month. Thats not actually alot of living money. Rent/house payment in most places would take all or most of that.114 renders in 2 months? No offense but honestly is the team only working on weekends? I am thankful for the dev being active on here and steadily putting out content. I can not however be silent on the total disservice to Hailey fans and will never accept the dad being the confidante in the endings.I've been known to complain once or twice on this site, but I'm not going to complain about the way that this is ending. As I said before, my first save on this game was 5/31/18. It's been a long time, but at least it is being given an ENDING. So many games go on for years and never give you one. I see people complaining about 2 months between updates and lack of renders for that length of time. One of my other favorite games on this site hasn't updated for about 8 months, although the Dev is active talking to people, so you know that it's not dead. THAT is frustrating. Be thankful for what you have with THIS game.
Never said they were living off of it just profiting.Thats not actually alot of living money. Rent/house payment in most places would take all or most of that.
I truly hope your wrong. I've been patient keep telling myself Alice ending make it all worth it. But how can I not see it as Milking their fan base if that's what they choose to do? I personally think Alice next then no one then Harem. If they do it the way you suggested my opinion of the team will change significantly.Karina, guessed it, 3 for 3. So the next one will actually be the "No One" ending, because he's waiting on Alice and the Harem for absolute last.
Realistically it isn't, but this is a porn game so the laws of reality don't apply for the most part. Being upset a character that you likely grew to care about enough to 'romance' changed so drastically in what is supposed to be the final moments you get to spend with her (since it is the ending and all) is kind of a kick in the balls. It's really not that surprising.
