VN - Ren'Py - FreshWomen [S2 Ep.3 Part 2] [OppaiMan]

Based on the (as yet) unfinished v0.4.0 Beta (with the addendum that v 0.4 is actually itself incomplete and so I stopped playing halfway through chapter 4 because it's currently missing a lot of stuff).

My usual disclaimers when writing reviews on here are that A. I am here for the "plot" not the plot and B. I am very picky with visual novels and think broadly they can be very subpar. So, take both of those into consideration for my review when thinking about this game.

Pros

• Hot, hot leg, leg so hot you fry an egg – I feel like I have to qualify this statement every time I write a review. Yes, I actually think visuals are not one of the main things I look for in an erotic game and put greater emphasis on the writing of the sexual stuff and kinks at play. But godamn… The renders and characters in this game are just INSANELY good looking. On par with the best on this site, easily.
• SPICY hot sex scenes – The dev (Oppai-Man) seems to have absolutely no intention of skimping on the good stuff and you will be very quickly smashing the hot girls left, right and centre. By the second episode alone there’s already a decent quantity of sexual content and it seems to only be increasing. Plus the standard of the sexy stuff is really VERY fucking hot and very fappable (however, see the “mehs”)..
• Derek wannabe is also fun – I very much appreciate any game that provides you a “bro” character who is actually your friend and you aren’t out to cuck him and he isn’t a complete waste of space (like the bro-est of bros Derek in Being a DIK). Dylan is this game’s bro character and he is actually a fun addition to the game. He’s completely fucking ridiculous of course, but if you don’t take the game too seriously then he’s a good time.
• Animations are also great – The first couple of episodes don’t seem to have animations but when they are introduced later they are broadly also very good (however, see the “mehs”).

Mehs

• Sex scenes rush positions – So this is actually gonna the first of a couple of very nit-picky and frankly ridiculous complaints. I said the sex scenes are hot, and they are, BUT they also consistently have a few relatively frustrating issues. While the scenes themselves are hot and go on for a decent length of time, Oppai-Man seems desperate to fill each scene with AS MUCH SEX as possible. This means that the characters CONSTANTLY change position, and it’s actually just kind of shit. There will be a render with the protagonist bending a girl over a table (with a line of dialogue). A render of him inside of her (with a line of dialogue). Her moaning and enjoying herself for one render. AND THEN you, out of the blue, change position and repeat this all over again in a different position. Like, godamn dude, let the characters actually fuck each other in a position for a little bit before they switch. This whole thing is particularly noticeable in a car sex scene in the most recent update which genuinely had like 10 different positions before it finished.
• Rushed penetration and orgasms – The other nit-picky complaint is that the sex scenes feel like they rush initial penetration and the climax of each scene. These are two of the hottest moment of any scene (I think for many guys this is true) and at least are fairly important moments within a scene. As it stands many of the sex scenes will have the protagonist and girl getting into position in one render and then in the next he will already be inside her. Similarly, there were at least a few scenes where the girl and protagonist cum at the same moment and it’s actually not clear that he even cums because of that (no focus on him jizzing buckets basically). I’d really like it if there were even just one or two more bits of dialogue around these parts of the scene, just to linger in those moments a TINY bit longer before rushing forwards.
• Animations only last for one line of dialogue – Another very weird criticism is that when there are animations used they very often are only present for one single click. It happened at least once that you would click and then there would be (for example) an animation of the MC getting his dick sucked and you click again and it’s immediately the next render/animation. Like I had to scroll back multiple times because I didn’t actually WATCH the animation. Once again, Oppai-Man is rushing through the scene and really ought to take more time over individual bits and pieces.
• No risk of pregnancy – Come on my guy! Let us choose to cum inside the girls and then make it risky! Just for me…?
• Writing – The core premise is a tiny bit uninteresting (the whole, your father disappeared and you are making it your life’s work to find out what happened) plus the addition of some amnesia feels a tiny bit silly. Add in some relatively odd decisions made throughout the game (like how quickly you recruit outside help and go from “investigating” to literally spying on people, all over some somewhat shaky leaps of logic. Add to this some dialogue which sometimes feels a bit weird and in general the writing of the game is not its strongest point. I will add, it is for SURE not bad and the English seems generally very good, but it’s nothing to write home about.

Cons

• Facial expressions – Another weird complaint which this time is an outright negative as opposed to a “meh”. Sometimes throughout a scene the protagonist’s reactions are SO fucking over the top it genuinely kills the scene for me. There will be some kind of innocuous reveal where one character will say “Hey I kinda fancy you” and he will go “BUWHUUUUUUUAT???” like a fucking Goofy character. The dialogue is never this extreme but the renders are. It’s ridiculous and actually genuinely kills the immersion a bit. You need to dial it back like 18 to 24% there, bud.
• Emily scenes – I… I just don’t get them man. They’re hot but they’re also so fucking esoteric and weird. Are they supposed to be dreams or not? Why does the MC act like it’s totally reasonable to not be able to distinguish dreams from reality? Is the whole thing gonna be a dream? Because I’m gonna tell you right now, that’s not okay…

You might have noticed that I haven’t absolutely slated FreshWoman with a bunch of heavy negatives, and that is because, quite frankly it doesn’t really do an awful lot wrong. Having said this, it also has not absolutely blown me away. It’s sitting quite comfortably in the middle tier of this site and I have to admit I’m a little surprised by how many really high ratings its received.

Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s absolutely well-worth a play. I’ve also given it a 4/5 because I think it’s probably closer to that than it is a 3. Maybe like a 3.7/5. So it’s definitely decent for a fun and relatively light-hearted fantasy harem fuckfest. And really, a lot of the time that’s all I want from an h-game.

The story is a bit uninspired and often some of the drama feels quite contrived and like its drama for the sake of drama (without spoiling episode 4 in particular feels very bad for this). There doesn’t feel like there’s many stakes at play and yet people are also massively overreacting to a lot of them. It’s all a bit melodramatic and silly. But again, not BAD, just fine.

It's also clear, at least to me, that Oppai-Man is taking a lot of inspiration from Being a DIK and is kinda aiming for a similar sort of vibe. Which, again, in itself is fine, but I also feel like by inviting that comparison it means that you have to say it’s really just not quite as good.

Really the only reason I don’t rate it higher is all those tiny niggles I mentioned that juuuust sort of make the sex scenes not quite as hot as they could be. Because if the game spent just a tiny bit more time over each scene, spent just a little bit longer with positions and animations then I genuinely think the super hot sexual stuff would 100% carry the game to greatness. It’s just being a tad let down because it feels like every single scene is so insanely rushed. Like, the protagonist has to get his dick inside the girl, but then has to immediately get his dick inside her in a different position (and another 4 positions before he can finish) so it just never settles into a groove.

Again, I realise it’s nit-picky and kinda silly, but I genuinely feel that if these tiny things were changed it would actually massively elevate the game.

Beyond that there’s not much more to say. It’s pretty decent, give it a go.

The stroy line is somewhat old-fashioned (missing father / amnesia ) , but there are some intense event ( facing an angry husband whose wife has an affair with MC ) . I vote for 4/5 so far for the story.
The rendering is absolutely outstanding. It is the first time that I find girls in normal shape are charming. Usually I only prefer the curvy ones. I love almost every female characters in this game , not only for their looking , but also for their expressions and personality. In this way I'd love to vote for 5/5 for the game in general.

This game deserves 5 stars (0.4.0). Reasons:

• All models are extremely hot
• Different body sizes
• Some of the best looking MILFs
• Some of the best animations in a VN
• Not a bad story
• Decent pacing

Review:
This game would be more interesting if the development was more original. Here I could see that the dev took a mechanic here and there from some more rated games and tried to create a junction of his own. Not that I'm accusing of copycat, but I mean it didn't work out very well. You have a silly friend, you have a pick stat for each NPC and a story that is told by small episodes. So what could have gone right or wrong?

History:
You are Simon, a boy who lost his father in a mysterious way. Had to live in a place similar to the orphanage, but under the care of his mother. As a child, he was looking for evidence about his father's clues until at age 18 when he gathered all the evidence and went straight to investigate and a lightning strikes on his head causing you to go into a coma and lose a good part of your memory. The story is already starting to be a cliché, but ok, let's move on.
There are moments in the game when the MC's story starts to get serious, but then it's all just "fun". Yeah, the MC is totally goofy when he sees a woman, first he wanted to find out who Susan is and why she is involved in her father's disappearance, on the other hand, when he is in the presence of a woman he is totally dumbfounded. The game guides you in this "silly humor". (who cares about the father if you can fuck some pussies? /sarcastic)
Gameplay:
Standard VN, to be quick and clear. The choices won't matter much, they're just accept or reject a relationship with some girl. I think it's kind of pathetic for the dev to ask about the girls' stats or what the player thought of them. But of course, you are considerate of your work, I appreciate that. There's a little point-n-click moment, pretty quick, but that wasn't necessary.
Graphics & Sexual Content:
The graphics are great, the female models renders are excellent; beautiful bodies and hot. The sexual content is appreciative, however, something is missing that needs improvement. The sex scenes are good, animations ok. The humor in the sex scenes needs to be discarded. It didn't bother me that, but I felt the feeling that it was not necessary, improving some positions and angles would be better, I hope this happens to make the game more attractive. Chloe's scene is great, very satisfying imo but other scenes are good. In general, the content is satisfactory.

Why I did gave 2 stars?
Is it fair to give such a low rating? no. It turns out that the game doesn't give much interest to want to continue playing, the game's story doesn't help much. There are characters that you are more interested in, others, too, but the fact is how far will the story show a fetish that makes us interested? unfortunately there is no such fetish in the game, whatever it is, something that makes it interesting and also exciting. I don't blame the dev for making girls easy and the game having free sex, most standard VN games are like this, the story and plot is not interesting enough. Anyway, I had played version 0.3, I really liked the visual style of the game, I mean, the rendering for me is one of the best here on the site, the girls who for some reason have well defined bodies, I didn't see anything exaggerated, as for the breasts, hips, butt, for me everything is perfect. I hope you continue with the work, maybe you can improve with the game's story, but as I said, there is no exciting point to enjoy very much, the game doesn't need to have a lot of fetish content or something that forces it, but there is an atmosphere in the game that doesn't let me get too interested. So, this game has one of the best renders, fantastic artwork but the story is silly.

It's cool. Sue is hot and once Susan warms up to the MC things are gonna get freaky. I want it to get really freaky. The freakier the better. The renders are great and the development puts content out regularly instead of pretending to be producing something akin to high art and working on it for months at a time without anything being released.

The dream sequencesa are incredibly jarring and often i have no idea what is really happening and what has not. obviously renders are great! but i expcet more from games now! the grammar is good, as is the dialogue but not great. Game is kind of boring. Does not stand out from other VN's.

EDIT: played the game again and although it has animations now, the plot has fallen off a cliff.

The game is easy to review as for 0.3:

It has nice animations, and that alone deserves 2 stars for the effort, they are pretty decent, with a couple of good ones. The sex scenes are nothing awesome, they are good enough though, if you forget about the "humour" in the middle of them. (if you dont mind a meme face while seeing 2 people having sex, you wont mind. I personnaly do).

What is missing? The game is an easy fuckfest, only picking acouple fo options you get sex. I am not against it, at all, but only visuals dont work for me cause im looking for characters, otherwise, as I keep saying, I have 8K 120fps VR porn.

The women are attractive enough to motivate you to pursue them, if you are an avergae male I guess. Why the 2 stars? Allow me to explain:


Found any problems in the game logic? I tell you. This is one of those game that you find once in a while where one of the characters is off limits and lives in another game inside the game logic.
This particual character is different from the others copy pasted females since all of the girls are big breasted, and or square jawed.
Since she is the character I liked adn doesnt have anything in the actual version, the game is nothing for me. I can't rate "nothing".

The story is not interesting, there are attempts at humour/memes, but didnt work for me. So what is left is the visual quality, and for that only the animations are worth mentioning.

What could improve the game?
Taking it a little more seriously, for instacne removing "humour" in the middle of sex scenes, cause Im not watching sex to laugh, it is totally off putting.

Giving Julia the same treatment as the rest of the females you encounter, or give the rest of the females the same treatment as Julia, or a compromise of both. Julia so far has the "slow character development" and the others are unidimensional "walking vaginas"

This is an entertaining game with interesting well-differentiated characters. The renders are high quality, and the models have a nice assortment of body styles. It doesn't take long for the story to indulge the player with some sexual fun, while still continuing to tell an interesting story in intriguing ways

My first review (though it's not my first porn game) goes to this piece of game that I can describe, first of all, with a very short sentence ... 'HIGH LEVEL' .
In my opinion, this is how a porn game should be or, at least, it would be if it was me its creator.

Anims - 4.6/5 .. one of the best I've seen around here
Girls - 4.5/5 .. a great mix even if I miss a real mature woman or an ebony/colored one
Music & Sounds - 4/5 ..keep going this way

There's something in it I can't even categorize.. something I haven't found in all the others.. I could think about the lightning process or the camera angles.. or maybe it's just creativity in trying to avoid all the classic poses/choices (I love the choice buttons moved on the right and a bit different).

Mc - 3/5 ..OMG the face of that guy.. he looks so weird some times, I mean.. please do something better next time guys

Very high quality models and renders, although perhaps could do with toning down the sliders somewhat. Hard to tell at this stage whether the main focus is story or erotica but perhaps that indicates that it strikes a good balance so far. The animations are very well done. Writing is good, although I didn't get particularly into the story of any of the characters.

FreshWomen is yet another college game, where this time our protagonist has to find out what happened to his dad. There is a limited sandbox section the likes of Badik, but no grinding or repetition. The college setting and missing dad story are so far taking a backseat, the focus of this game is definitely on the girls. This game also doesn't play around much, you get to fuck the girls pretty quickly.

Positives:
- Absolutely beautiful girls that come with different enough personality types, ages and looks, yet none of them were unattractive or unlikeable to me, a huge plus
- sex scenes are long and well made. Beautiful renders, lots of dirty talk, you get to fuck the girl in multiple positions during the same sex scene
- as of 0.3 we now have animations, the quality of animations is good
- I enjoyed the sandbox segment in version 0.1
- there is different music in the game, fitting to current mood
- the game has some humor, made me laugh a few times
- despite no harem tag the game seems to be going harem route

Negatives:
- The story is pretty shallow so far
- the writing is somewhere between cliché and just... weird. Like you fuck two girls in a club that seemingly nobody owns, with no explanation as to who they are, why they are in a club (with nobody else there) and the story just moves on like this is normal. Girls, why are you hanging around in an abandoned club fucking strangers? Where are your parents?
- animations, while good, are infrequent. The first sex scenes of the game didn't have animations at all. I would like to see more animations instead of still renders.
- MC looks very young, even for a college freshman
- choices are shallow.

In conclusion, I can definitely recommend this game, despite the mediocre writing. As far as visuals and sex scenes go, this game delivers and ultimately that is the most important aspect of a porn game for me. But you best turn off your brain when playing it and don't think too hard about what is going on, just enjoy the beautiful girls.

I would love to give you a 2.5, instead of a 2, i think that technically you are one of the best on this page, your renders are great, the designs of the female characters are fantastic, but the plot of this VN is cliche, boring cliche, and it is very disorganized.

I explain my self:

-The MC has no development, all women want to fuck with him (Hot
beautiful women), despite the fact that physically he is average, and half stupid and no personality.

-The cliche and unreal monster cock (boring).

-The fetish of the enormous breasts , dude, pls, you destroy the harmony of many of your designs by placing those mega tits, they are not necessary, personal opinion.

-The lack of personality of a vast majority of characters, makes reading this VN boring and uninteresting.

-I know I'm repetitive, but there are many cliches, bad cliches, the personality of several characters translates into very simple cliches, the Geek and sexy girl, the sexy streamer, the sexy bad girl, etc, and of course they all want to fuck with you, because yes.

-Lack of decision making, the decision making in this game are quite irrelevant, they don't impact, they don't change, they don't affect anything in the plot, they are only as something aesthetic.

-And lastly, the story, it's hard to get hooked or interested in the story, when the MC is so mundane and stupid, a main character has to have progression, personality, character, etc.

Sorry for being so "harsh", i think that technically you are very good, your designs, your lighting level, angles, etc, but the narrative level you need to practice more, or find someone to do that for you, to get the most out of your visual skills, greetings.

Even more cliche: the dreams. If no sex in first release, you get dreams... meh.
No interest in following further development so 2 stars mostly for the renders.

The game is really good and pretty wholesome. Everyone should try it, it's gonna increase your expectations from other games as well, the graphics standards set by this game is really high. The story is going good too, it's not another clichéd, boring kinda story.
It has the most beautiful women, Lily is just something else, especially her introduction scene in that red dress
